This Tuscany villa near Certaldo is ideal for a large group traveling together. Each of the nine double bedrooms has its own en suite facilities, providing everyone staying at this Tuscany vacation rental with privacy and personal space when they need it. Otherwise, it's likely that everyone will be hanging out either in the common rooms [which include a billiards table!] or at the swimming pool... where you can enjoy the absolutely stunning views during your holiday in Tuscany!

[3,000 m2] Built in 1823 by the Marquis Pucci, this villa boasts a superb setting on top of a hill with a panoramic view. From this villa, the towers of San Gim...ignano can clearly be seen, as well as the ancient hamlet of Certaldo Alto. In front of the villa sits a swimming pool [18m x 4m] with sun lounges. The garden area has ancient trees, a dining table and chairs, and a barbecue. An iron gate with a video entry-phone leads into the property, where there is private parking.

Ground Floor: An entrance hall leads into a living room with a billiards table. There is also a study with a satellite TV and a dining room with a table for 18 guests. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, cook-top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. One bedroom is equipped with two single beds and an en suite bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. This floor also has a laundry room and a cloakroom.

First Floor: Here you will find a total of seven bedrooms. Five of these bedrooms each have two single beds. The other two rooms each have a 180 cm king-size bed. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with sink, toilet, and shower.

Second Floor: This level is a tower bedroom with a 180 cm king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. There are also two terraces.

This villa is located about 6 km away from Certaldo. With a population of about 15,000, Certaldo has all the necessities combined with small-town charm. Pick up groceries or eat out in the modern section and spend the rest of your day exploring Certaldo Alta, the old medieval village. If you come in July you may find yourself in the midst of a lively Renaissance festival, complete with street artists, actors, musicians, and more. And don't forget to get your fill of medieval architecture! You can explore the Pretorio Palace or marvel at the profile Certaldo castle cuts across the sky. Like museums? You may want to visit the house of Giovanni Boccaccio [author of the Decameron]. If you're looking for a little more variety, day trips will take you to San Gimignano, Siena, and Florence.

  We had a fabulous week at Villa Pucci. It's a truly magnificent spot, with beathtaking views all around.
  
  The views undoubtedly, the pool area, the pool table.
  
  The kitchen was pretty rustic and basic for our needs. Not a great deal of work surface area. Also there was nowhere really to sit inside and relax, the TV room worked well for the kids but no area for adults to chill.
  Also the lighting in the bedrooms was very poor.
  
  Certaldo was a beautiful town with all the necessities. The old part of the town was amazing to visit. The position of the villa is equidistant from Florence and Siena which gives it real benefit.

  The villa could not have been nicer. All 18 of us, from young to old, really had a great time. Overall the experience was even more than we had hoped for. We thank you for the arrangements and for being so easy with which to work. We will highly recommend you and Rentvillas to our friends.
  
  The bedrooms were beautiful and typically old Italian. Waking up and overlooking Tuscany was like being in a movie scene. The bathrooms in each very modern. The washing machine very convenient. The dining area more than satisfactory, the kitchen fully equipped for when we wanted to cook. The pool table and swimming pool were popular with all. The cooks we had for three nights - it would have been more if they had been available - were fabulous. They set a wonderful table, cooked, and cleaned up. Their meals were typically Tuscan and served like in a fine restaurant - only nicer - because we could sit around the table for as long as we wanted. The owner was just great. We had a problem with the locks initially. He repaired the problem the very next day. He could not have been nicer.
  
  There are no screens on the Villa. For the most part, this was not much of a problem. What was a bit of a problem, even thought we had repellant, was everyone who sat outside and used the pool. We all did and came home with lots of mosquito bites. Overall it was a small price to pay for such a wonderful memory.
  
  The location was so convenient to Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, and the Chianti region. We had several cars and found traveling easy. The weather was great. It was warm, but there was always a nice breeze on the hill.
