      un paradiso sui colli fiorentini

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in August 2012

      Rigenerante

Left on 09/30/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Ovviamente, bagno tutti i giorni!

Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012

I found la Novellina on Trip advisor. 3 couples, 3 young kids. It was a great vacation. Day trips to Siena, Lucca, Pisa, San Giminiano. Beautiful Tuscany.
The owner has a strong team on site, Suzanna welcomed us with a great meal the first day and came back the Monday to check how we were doing. Monica, helping with housekeeping everyday is funny and very helpful, Niccolo, the son of the owner knows about wine, olives and his country.
Time went too fast, we enjoyed the magnificent view on the valley everyday. The house is decorated with taste. The book collection will keep you informed and busy.
We had a great vacation in a beautiful home. We will go back.

We stayed for one week, at the start of summer- with 2 young children. The Villa is well positioned with plenty of beautiful restaurants close by. The view over the olive grove was amazing, a perfect place to eat dinner as the sun went down after a swim in the pool. There are plenty of bathrooms, the kitchen was a charming central place to cook, sit, eat and relax. The house was filled with information about the region and Susana (the host) was most helpful with informing us on where to taste wine and cheese! Will definately go back.

      great holiday with my family

Left on 08/24/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We would recommend this beautiful villa to others wishing to have a comfortable base for exploring Tuscany. The location was excellent for sightseeing and the villa is spacious, well-furnished and fully appointed
The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the large swimming pool
From this base we found it easy to make day-trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and Certaldo. All of these were fantastic places to visit.
We particularly enjoyed shopping at the local stores and then cooking for ourselves in the large kitchen . We had an excellent at-home dinner, prepared by local cooking instructor Ceppatelli . The internet connectivity at the villa was good. Luciana and Elena were very helpful . Michelle

Our 5th or 6th stay at La Novellina

Left on 07/07/2010 for a stay in September 2007

Obviously, we love La Novellina; why else would we return so many times? The location is not only beautiful but it is convenient to the many small towns in the area as well as Florence, Lucca, and Siena. The site, itself, is beautifully appointed and decorated; its amneities are most comfortable, and ,because we have stayed there several times, the owner's mother and her delightful "helper" have befriended us. Each stay there is now like "coming home".
Each stay is another memorable experience.

      Hello,
I just spent one week in La Novellina with family. The villa is charming, full equipped and well located on Tuscan hills. We particularly loved to have breakfast under the pergola looking at a wonderful landscape of green slopes and olive trees.
The location is very good, closed to most beautiful Chianti's villages.
      We will come back again....

      A true Tuscany experience

Left on 04/14/2010 for a stay in December 2009

Arriving at the vacation home, we found everything in perfect order and were very much impressed by this antique, original and authentic tuscany style house, located in an unforgettable landscape, right in the most beautiful heart of Tuscany.
Also inside the house is decorated in a very tastful manner, avoiding any kitsch or misplaced luxury.
All attractions can be reached within reasoneable time (Florence, Siena, San Gimigiano etc..) which makes it top location for those who want to discover the region. Otherwise the house offers a nice swimming pool, which of course in winter we did not use.
The only negative point to mention is the fact that you need to use a car every time you want to reach a supermarket, shop or any other location. Also I would not recommend this house for guests with mobility problems due to the fact that inside there are quite a lot of stairs (4 floors).

Finally, we are already now looking forward to our next stay. We have checked out some alternatives, but so far nothing is comparable to La Novellina, best quality for price.

A week we will never forget

Left on 04/14/2010 for a stay in December 2005

We booked La Novellina through Jane Black at Italian Villa Vacations in Melbourne. La Novellina was recommended, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. It is a stunning property right in the heart of the Chianti region with easy access to places like Florence and Siena. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at La Novellina. The setting was just like a postcard with views stretching over rolling hills and vineyards all the way to the tips of San Ginmingiano. The villa is very beautifully decorated and very typically Tuscan, offering a lot of charm, yet at the same time every modern convenience. We were there in winter so we enjoyed lighting the fireplace and going for walks around the garden and into the little village. Every room at La Novellina was delightful, and the views from the bedrooms were amazing. We look forward to returning soon we hope! We highly recommend La Novellina to anyone seeking a villa in Tuscany for a week.

Instead of settling for a party to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary ,we decided to bring the whole family: daughters, sons in law,and our beautiful grandaughters to Tuscany. This has proven to be a brillant decision from the choice of tuscany as a destination to the selection of La Novellina as a place to stay. we could not have imagined a setting so perfect .Thank to our hosts Helena for making such a memorable experience. A dream vacation!!

Left on 03/30/2010 for a stay in May 2007

I spent wonderful days at La Novellina. The view is magic, my favourite bedroom is the one on the top floor...the one located in the tower. Very romantic!
We spent there unforgettable long weekends with friends and family!! In summer and winter time.
The living room with its large fireplace it is very cozy. The position of the property is quite strategic. Half way between Florence and Siena...
San Gimignano is at only half an hour drive.
The pool was a bit small, but I have heard there is a new panoramic pool. Can't wait to be back!
