Imagine waking up in the morning to the sounds of the ocean and tweeting birds. Brew a coffee and relax on the huge balcony with recliner seats or even use the hammock if you havent really woken up yet.

Cha-am is a Thai style beach resort that is popular with Bangkok people at weekends. Its about a 2 hour drive from Bangkok and I can help with airport transfers.
It is about 15 minutes drive to Hua Hin where the Thai Royalty have their own palace.
Cha-am is not over commercialised at all and is focussed mainly at catering to Thai tourists although there are ample ammenities for foreigners.
There are 8 world class golf courses nearby and plenty of other activities including watersports, fishing, tennis, biking, ATV, theme park etc.
Car hire is recommended and I can help arrange this. Plenty of secured, covered parking available.

I was visiting family in Bangkok and wanted to get them out of town for the weekend. We decided we wanted to rent a house in the beach. Hua Hin was an option but it has become so touristy and congested. I had heard about the unspoiled beaches of Cha-Am and the laid back atmosphere.
I found this vacation rental online and contacted the owner Gerard directly by phone. Although our request was last minute, Gerard made special arrangements with us and we were able to secure the rental for a very reasonable price.
Gerard provided us with very detailed directions with photographs. Take my advice and use the photographs as it can be tricky for an outsider to find the house. The pictures made it very simple and we has no issues at all.
As soon as we pulled into the property we knew we had made the right choice.
The Villa is located within a gated community of several other villas and adjacent condos. Three swimming pools are surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds with palm trees and gardens.
Another nice feature is the 24 hour security which made us feel comfortable.
The house is spacious and well furnished with a fully equipped western kitchen, satellite television, Wifi, A/C in every room, plenty of bathrooms and all the comforts of a private residence.
To sum it up, we felt like we were at home for 3 nights. The property is a perfect beach getaway.

Our 2 families, 4 adults and 3 kids, spent 3 wonderful nights here. Since our kids prefer to sleep with parents, we only use 2 of the 4 rooms. Indeed the villa could accomodate more people. The pools are excellent esp for kids to spend a whole day. It is not that kind of super luxury resort but a very quiet and peaceful place for relaxation and family fun or even romance. However, since the place is a bit far from town centre, you better rent a car if you want to travel around or dine out in the evening.

I have been there with group of my friends 7 people. The Villa was very nice, clean and quite. It's very good for a group of family and friends because there are 4 bedrooms which is quite plenty space and the kitchen, there are all the things that we need. The pool is just behind the villa and there are 3 pools! I'm going there again for sure...

Stayed here for 3 weeks with 6 members other family members, including 2 kids aged 3 and 4. It's away from the centre of Cha'am, so you need to take a taxi or hire a car to go shopping or sightseeing. The benefit of this is that the complex is quiet and relaxed. Most of the villas seem to be weekend holiday homes, so during the week you will basically have the pools to yourself. The villa itself was clean and spacious and the gardens are immaculate. My kids ran around barefoot on the grass most of the time. A great place to relax!

We had a very peaceful time in Gerard's villa in Baan Talay Samran. The villa was very spacious, and would supply ample room for 2 families with children or 4 couples (two of the rooms have twin beds). Two masters (one on the second floor and one on the third) have adjoining baths. Also, there was an additional bath on the second floor and a convenient first floor bath. The shower water heated in seconds. Two of the bedrooms had access to a large 2nd floor deck with a table and chairs.
In addition to the 3 onsite pools, the ocean is avalable for swimming and cooling off in the humid Thailand weather. The villa is equipped with 5 air conditioners...one in each of the 4 bedrooms as well as one in the kitchen, dining rooom, and family room area. Laundry service was available at the Juristic Office
(Front Desk). Personnel in the Juristic Office were also very attentive to our needs. The property was maintained daily with a large staff sweeping and watering.
Gerard was very responsive to any request promptly 24/7, which was extremely helpful. He helped us with everything, even situations beyond the scope of what he had to.
You can hire a taxi from the Brittlestar Office for about 400 THB ($12 ish us)round trip for local restaurants, but definitely listen to Gerard and rent a car. While we could walk to some local restaurants, we were able to do much more with a car including regular vists to nearby cities such as Hua Hin and Petchaburi for other beaches (Hua Hin) and temples, the Budda Cave, and the summer palace (Petchaburi). We stayed with our family during the second week of January. We had a great time. The kids loved the pool. The nearby beach is beautifull.
The house is large and spacious (big balconies) and made everyone very relax. The house and surrounding resort is clean and comfortable and beautifully furnished.

we have wanted to visit the far east for years,and trawled through countless brochures and travel agents,then we cam across this beach villa,and it looked ideal.
and ideal it was,the villa was spotless clen and ample space on all floors,the location was and is perfect,a superb beach,swimming pools,and so peacefull,within a few minutes drive into a town called cha-am,there are superb bars and excellent resturants,too many to mention,and the beach there is brilliant.
we went to another local town called hua hin,about a 30 minute bus/taxi ride,and found every thing we could possibly need,from supermarkets to golf,excellent shopping,and malls.
nightlife here is in abundance,but the best thing about baan talay for us was the fact that you can escape to the peacefull surroundings of this excellent villa.

food all over cha am is so tasty, especially all seafood, freshest we have ever had.
we rented motorbike from guy 20 metres from the villa. office beside him you can rent you a car, but we prefer motorbikes. cha am has everything for everyone. you can have complete quiiet and relax and you can have mad nights too, ozone on beach front have super live band. and all the karaoke bars are great fun too.
the villa was super, felt like a home rather than a rental property. lots of nice pictures and ornaments. i was really happy with the tv too, got to see all my premiership football games. place is huge too, 3 floors!!1 definitely recommend to all.

We stayed for 2 weeks in June and had a lovely time. It was low season so it was very quiet during the week with some more guests at weekends. The kiddies pool was great and the kids were able to play in the garden area and on the beach in the mornings. The beach is almost deserted - most people go to the main beach in Cha-am so its lovely for long walks in the morning. The house is well maintained and very spacious. We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the balcony and listening to the birds and sea. I would recommend this place for a quiet family holiday.

The accommodation is spacious and well maintained in a beautiful setting close to the beach. The pool is lovely and warm and had no other users while we stayed. The jacuzzi and cooker hob could do with a refresh but otherwise we were delighted with the property and would certainly consider another stay in the future.

What my family (kids 8 and 10) loved about the stay was the standard of the house and the size of the swimming pools (3 in total within the compound). The housing estate is friendly and not oversized, used both by Thai and foreigners, a bit more agitated during week-ends.

The complex is actually built out onto the beach so depending on tides the beach directly in front is limited alright. However, there are also sidegates to get directly onto the beach but I still prefer heading the few minutes into Cha-am village to hang out at the beach there... plenty more activities and people watching to be enjoyed there.

Superb location right on the beach with 3 nice swimming pools. Many championship golf courses within minutes from villa and they will even collect you and provide golf clubs and caddy.
Very tranquil setting with mature and well maintained gardens.
Perfect for couples or families but not suited to a party lifestyle. This is a real getaway and relaxing place.

We stayed in baan taly samran 3 weeks (of course we made trips to other places too). Place were well done, very nice garden and house with good pools. This place suits to thouse that do not want to have lot of noise and want to relax without having party allnight long. This is an quiet place...and this means also that the services are situated in cha-am center but there it is easy to go by taxi. Nearby is a small restaurant and very good one within 1 km (north of balay, not south..). The sea was not clear and we did not swim there but in pools. The owner helped us arranging taxi from bangkok so the arrival was ok without any problems! The Cha-Am is, as said in turism catalogs, an thailander place. It means that most of the turists are from Bangkok in weekends, other times very very quiet. Western turists were quire rare which very good, but ofcourse that also means that the services and way of living is not as in southern tourist places (which was to us only good thing). I recommend this!!

We booked this last minute for a group of friends going to a music festival. It was so great to have lots of common areas to hang out and of course the lovely pool.
Everything was seriously, SERIOUSLY clean and really well maintained and had everything to cook meals also. We'll be back for sure! -

We had a wonderful stay - really loved the Villa, it was very comfortable and had all we needed. We were 7 in total and had plenty of space. The gardens were lovely as were the pools and the beach. We live in Bangkok and are looking forward to spending another weekend there.
My only suggestions, some tea/coffee/sugar in the cupboards would have been welcomed along with some tea towels & coat hangers in the bed rooms. Everything else was well provided for. -

Stayed in this beautiful villa for a few nights of rest and relaxation after a whistle stop tour around Asia. Very spacious villa; grounds are meticulously maintained and the swimming pools are spotless.
Local office are helpful enough and they can arrange taxis into Cha am or Hua Hin. Small restaurant and shop on the grounds.
Definitely worth a visit...
