The Quiet Gardens of Chamarel offer a luxurious estate home completed in 2011 which incorporate all modern luxuries and top quality materials. We are nestled in the mountains on the outskirts of the historic village of Chamarel adjacent to the famous “Coloured Earths” and Chamarel Falls. At approximately 300m above sea level, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, you are free to unwind at your leisure. This stunning location, while private and secluded, is just 10 minutes from the west coast and 20 mins from one of the best beaches in Mauritius. Local restaurants and attractions such as the “Rhumerie” and the Plain Cha...mpagne scenic National Park is just minutes from the gate.

Rates include daily cleaning service, airport or hotel pickup and drop off, island concierge and twenty four hour security. Further amenities provided for your comfort include complimentary satellite TV, wireless internet, full laundry services and local telephone calls.

The Main Residence is aptly named “The Waters Edge” after it's stunning pool which is rumoured to be the largest residential pool in the Indian Ocean. The home offers four air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, family room, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry. The exterior furnishes a covered tile patio and open hardwood pool deck, 25m infinity edge pool with swim up wet and dryl bar, sun loungers, two fire pits, outdoor dining area and extensive seating.

The front doors open on the foyer with guest bathroom followed by the large great room. The great room comprises of spacious living and dining areas including a stone open hearth and chimney all set under the beautiful exposed heavy timber trussed and framed colonial style wood shingled roof.

The kitchen boasts fully-fitted mahogany millworks and granite countertops with top of the line Bosch appliances. Appliances include two built in ovens and microwave, an island with combined stove, grill and hob, double side by side refrigerators ,wet and breakfast bar including wine cooler and rack plus additional refrigerator.

The master bedroom entrance is framed by two fitted walk-in closets and opens onto polished hardwood floors which spill onto the hardwood deck outdoors. As you exit through the french doors you are welcomed by four stepping stones which lead you across the pool to an island sunbed and stunning views of the gardens. The interior boasts a large ensuite bathroom with a beautiful solid travertine stone bathtub and his and her vanity basin troughs. The WC and shower are nestled separately on either side of the french doors leading to a private back garden. The bathroom and sleeping areas are spilt with a beautiful local basalt feature stone wall.

The second bedroom, ‘Blue Room’, is located on the ground floor and has an ensuite bathroom. The Blue Room opens up onto the pool patio and pool bar. The third bedroom, ‘Green Room’, also with ensuite bathroom, is located on level two and opens onto a balcony with spectacular views. Table, chairs and an umbrella furnish this upper balcony. Bedroom four, is named ‘Children’s Room’ as it’s proximity to Green Room and bunkbed make it the perfect spot for children to rest their heads. All four bedrooms are fitted with air-conditioning units.

Remaining amenities include two large storage rooms, large laundry including washing machine, dryer, double sink and bulk ice maker.

The Quiet Gardens of Chamarel are nestled in the mountains surrounded not only by stunning views and peaceful seclusion, but also many places of interest. The village of Chamarel offers local restaurants such as Le Chamarel and Ruben's which offer a mix or local Mauritian tastes as well as tried and true favourites. Adjacent to the estate are attractions such as The Coloured Earths, Park Adventure, Cascade Chamarel (waterfalls) and the beautiful National Park in Plain de Champagne.

Take a short 15 minute ride down the mountain and you can head north to the beaches of Black River, Tamarin and Flic en Flac or south to the beach villages of Le Morne and Souillac. A bit further down the road you will find Casela and Safari Adventure where you can view a vast array of Mauritian flora and fauna as well as big cats - you can even take a walk on the wild side through the jungle with lions and tigers!   Quiet Gardens is in the south east of the beautiful island of Mauritius, nestled in the cradle of the mountains of Chamarel. The resort is one full home and another series of guest rooms around the grand main house, which boasts a huge pool and glorious view.
  The main house can accommodate eight, while another separate house with its own pool can take a furrther six. Then there are apartments with room for another four to six people. If you had a big family, this would be a perfect location for a reuinion.
  But it is equally suited to a romantic getaway with its elegant furnishing and peaceful location. No detail has been overlooked to make this a luxurious retreat worthy of any in the world.
  Nearby there are local attractions including waterfalls, the famous Coloured Earth and an adventure park.
  It's a 15 minute drive down to the coast and pristine beaches and about the same to the nearest supermarket, although you can get basic in the village.
  Mauritius is a fantastic destination, full of vibrant colour and life with a rich culture and a diverse range of attractions for every taste.
  Quiet Gardens is accessed by car and driving around the island is an adveture in itself. If you want to completely unwind, take in the some amazing scenery and immerse yourself in a culture built on a melting pot of nationalities, don't hesitate to travel to this remarkable island.
