From the moment you arrive at this beautifully appointed chalet 5 minutes walk from the lifts of Grand Montets, you appreciate the care and attention that has been put into every detail of the place.
There is a wonderful view from the dining/living area onto the grand mountains of the Chamonix area that leads out onto a sunny terrace equipped with a huge hot tub for resting those aching legs at the end of a hard day on the slopes. Or if you just want to sit back and relax with a beer and a movie then the cinema room downstairs is epic!
There is a huge open plan kitchen/diner/sitting area with a stunning open fireplace where gusets have their breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals.
All drinks are provided free and there is fantastic quality house wine served with dinner. If you want something else for a special occasion the chalets own wine list is exceptional.
Food was of a superb quality with professional chefs preparing your evening meals and breakfast was pretty much anything you cared for from continental to cooked.
Special mention must go to the chef Jason and Rachael the host ,who from the moment we arrived could not do enough for us. We genuinely believe that it is the staff and other guests on these trips that end up making the holiday what it is. We were not disappointed. Rachael or Jason would happily drop us off at the slopes in the mornings and pick us up later if needed from Chamonix town if we had decided to indulge in some apres ski. Argentierre is the closest area to the chalet for beers and restaurants so it is wonderful to have the choice of both areas for some variety as Chamonix town centre tends to be a little busier. Horses for courses.
We cannot speak highly enough about Jonathon Law, his staff and the chalets in argentierre that he runs. We have stayed in 2 so far and both have been excellent (hands down the best we have stayed in throughout our European skiing trips over the years). We are booked in again for next year!

This option is pricier then others but well worth it! I have stayed two years in a row now and the 4-course meals made by professional chefs are amazing. Also, the staff are quite friendly and accommodating. A snack and warm drink always await your return from a day on the slopes as well. The location is just slightly out of town (peaceful) but an easy walk; or catch the bus all the way into Chamonix.

AmsterdamA brilliant mountain retreat! Stunning chalet with amazing views
Left on 05/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed for 7 nights in the azimuth and from the moment of arriving we felt most relaxed, and very well looked after, throughout the trip.
The chalet is fairly large but has a very homely feel with a great blend of rustic and contemporary styling, and all the mod cons. It was a great place to unwind after a long day on the slopes, with sauna hot tub and cinema room. Views of Mt. Blanc are also great from the balcony and terraces.
The food and wine was exceptional; better than any chalet we've stayed in before, with quality fine dining each evening. The breakfast was also great and set you up for a good, hard day on the mountain.
The location is close to the Grands Montet ski lift and about 10-15 mins walk from town, which we liked as it makes it quieter and more secluded.
Our hosts were great and took good care of us throughout our stay, also providing transfers to and from the slopes, and during the evening when we asked them.
The skiing in Chamonix is tremendous, with such diversity both on and off piste. Our host arranged for half of the group to ski with a guide two days, which was an incredible experience, skiing the Valley Blanche and a day of ski touring at Le Grands Montet.
We definitely recommend the chalet and Marmotte Mountain to friends and others, and would have loved to stay longer. We will be back!

Thanks again for another great week. Our family had an amazing time in your beautiful chalet and the Marmotte team looked after us wonderfully. We really enjoyed the food - the big breakfast gave us plenty of fuel for a big day of skiing and the evening meals and wine were perfect for a group of weary skiers. The ski instructors were really helpful and we were lucky enough to have a great week of snow. Thank you again, we will come back for another week next season!

We met with family and spent an early season week, luckily with heaps of snow) in Chalet azimuth. We were extremely well looked after by Jon and his team, the food and wine excellent, chalet was superbly equipped with a top class spa pool, stunning theatre room with big projection screen. Sitting infront of the fire at night was just sublime. Jon organized a superb ski instructor who gave private tuition for 4 skiers of varying standards, and all improved well. Loved skiing back to the chalet from Grand Montets home run. A truly superb week.

DurhamA special treat in the alps
Left on 05/03/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We stayed for a week and had the most fabulous time. The cuisine was excellent - far better than in a Michelin Star restaurant and our hosts could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We took full advantage of the cinema room and the sauna and enjoyed the company of friends around the blazing log fire.
Transport to wherever we wanted to go was organised effortlessly - or so it seemed - and one call from the mountain and we were picked up where and when we wanted.
i would recommend Marmotte Mountain azimuth without reservation for anyone who deserves a speial treat in the alps. -

We stayed at azimuth for a week over NY 2012 and had the most awesome time. The couple running the chalet were amazing, they looked after us and our kids impeccably and cooked michelin-star quality food, although we did prefer simpler food on some nights, which they also happily cooked. The chalet was clean and comfortable and the perfect-sized accomnodation for four adults and two children. The only downside is that it's located a bit of a way out of town but if you prefer in-house entertainment, it is perfect. Jon was super helpful too and organised massages, and the best ski guide for our kids at late notice. Nothing was too much trouble. One of our favourite holidays ever...

From the moment we stepped off the plane to to the minute we left, Marmotte Mountain staff took care of everything, from our airport transfer, ski hire and lovely champagne reception on arrival. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The food/wine and service was great and the location of the chalet couldnt have been better.
We stayed in azimuth chalet and it was perfect for my family and young children. They loved the cinema room and the games provided. Our chalet chef and hostess were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the ski areas. I would definitely go back next year and recommend it to all my friends. Thanks Marmotte -

LondonGreat stay at Marmotte Mountain azimuth!
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed in Marmotte Mountain azimuth in april 2012. We were a family group of various ages ranging from 75 to 5, a mixed bag of interests, activities, ski abilities, time tables and food requirements. Nevertheless we were all catered for beautifully by Jason the chef and the very charming host, Rachel, who both went beyond the call of duty to: 1) provide delicious food and wine (one of us was gluten free, one vegetarian and two needed somewhat child friendly food); 2) assist with a multitude of pick-ups/ drop offs for the various skiers, the grand mother and marathon trainer; 3) allow us to host a bundle extra adults and children for a birthday tea party/ easter egg hunt. The chalet was very comfortable, warm and clean, close to the ski school and lifts. The owner, Jon Law was also always on hand to advise and assist with anything. We had a very relaxed, happy break thanks to the Marmotte crew and look forward to being looked after by them again some time soon.

Great Location. Five star Chalet. Michilin starred quality cooking. Friendly and attentive hosts. Could not fault it other than our 4 day break was not long enough.

We were two families with five young children from 3 to 8 all on their first skiing adventure and from the moment we arrived at Geneva airport to being dropped off 7 days later we had a ball. The chalet was beautiful, comfortable, functional and beyond expectations - even better than the description in the brochure. We were hugely spoiled by Jack and Brit Rogers who attended to our every need and produced the most delicious dinners and breakfasts for us - catering for the kids was first class including exceptional sensitivity to one of the little one's special needs. Skiing varied from zero visibility to the utter sublime and the slight distance from the slopes was never a practical problem. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had and made all the more special by the warmth, friendliness and care of Jack and Brit. Excellent value, we will become regulars.

I could not have wished for a better time! The chalet is amazing and homely and the staff are warm, friendly and superb at what they do! Food was delicious and we were fully catered to all of our needs. Between relaxing in the hot tub, eating amazing food and chilling by the open fireplace, we were super relaxed at the end of out time there. Chamonix is an amazing place and the chalet is the perfect way to enjoy it! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to relax and enjoy themselves!!

We have experienced lots of ski chalets over some twenty years and Marmotte Mountain's azimuth is definately in the top three. Despite all the very high specification cinema room, sauna and hot tubs my most memorable detail is the luxury deep baths ... an essential after the slopes.

I stayed here with my family and we all totally loved our time here. The chalet was in a great position to get about the valley and it had the most amazing views and fantastic space. The feel of the chalet was very authentic and luxurious and we made sure we took full advantage of the sauna, cinema room and jacuzzi. We will definitely stay here again on our return to Chamonix next year.
