Description from the manager
Chateau de Mairie is a beautiful 17th Century Monument Historique set in 10 hectares of lovely gardens and wooded grounds with its own private chapel. The gardens were designed by Le Notre who was a famous garden architect in his day and well known for the gardens he created at Versailles. The chateau has had an interesting past, it was visited by Charles II whilst he was in exile and occupied by the Germans during World War II. Now it is our home which we have sympathetically decorated and furnished using traditional colours and antiques. There is a very relaxed atmosphere here, lots of open fireplaces to relax infront of in winter and some...Read more

What Past Guests Are Saying
Amazing Michele and Franz
From the moment we drove into the circle driveway, I was in love with this place! We were there for my partners 50th birthday for a week from March 22-29. A group of 16 of our guests were going to show up for this stay. Michele was amazing, with attention to detail, tulips in the salon and hallways, helping appoint rooms for our guests, having a roaring fire in the fireplace. My partner and I showed up a day before everyone was to arrive, and we were able to spend time getting to know her and know about the property. We did a surprise masked ball for my partner, and everything from costumes to dinner and dessert was planned and breathtaking! Michele and Franz are amazing, so is Hank, and there hospitality is unbeatable.

What a great place to stay.
Spent the weekend here with some friends. I cannot rate this place enough. The owners did everything possible to make sure we had a great time. We had dinner in the Chateau on Saturday which was of the highest quality. The wine list is extensive and well priced, the bedrooms are huge and comfortable. Acres of amazing woodland, lakes etc to be explored.
This venue has it all. Would be perfect for a large group of friends.
Can't wait to go back again.
