Crete island combines history, culture, a stunning coastline, exquisite cuisine and an unbeatable landscape, creating a perfect holiday destination, whatever the season.
The prefecture of Chania, at the westernmost of Crete island, is characterized by its great natural beauty. With endless sandy beaches, gorges, caves, endemic plants and animals, vast olive and orange groves and a combination of wild landscapes and crystal seas, Crete excites even the most demanding travellers. The mountainous inland hosts small picturesque villages that seem untouched by time, scattered churches, towers and castles. The whole of Crete is a particularly interesting archaeological site and its monuments witness its stormy history: Roman ruins, secluded monasteries, Minoan cities, Byzantine chapels, Turkish minarets are some of the picturesque scenes of Crete.

New York, New YorkThe best villa in Crete!
Left on 05/15/2013 for a stay in May 2013
I stayed at the villa in May 2013 with 8 other friends, and it was incredible! The villa was beautiful, huge, clean, well-kept, and Stelios was really amazing. He helped us book dinner reservations in town and organized for a chef to come to the villa one night and cook us a delicious authentic Greek meal. He also helped us arrange to take a boat for a day and beach hop to different beaches around Crete, as well as helped us organize hikes and daily activities.
We could not have found a better villa, and look forward to coming back in the near future! -

SandnesFantastic venue for an extended family holiday
Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The villa proved to be a great venue for a 2 week holiday for a family consisting of 3 generations, the youngest in our party being 4 years, the oldest 81. The villa has truly got an amazing view of the ocean from its elevated location and amenities that really match such fabulous views. We missed nothing and was well taken care of throughout our stay by the local manager of the property. The cleaning done twice a week was the most thorough I've ever experienced on any travel, business or leisure.
With cars rented serving the entire party we used the villa as a base for exploring Western Crete and had easy access to the services of Platanias and Chania nearby. -

Wow!! What an amazing Villa, with Spectacular views. There were 9 of us staying and we had a fantastic time. It was sad leaving on the last day, we would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presented itself. Selios our contact was most helpful and nothing was a problem for him. I would highly recommend Villa annaNiko

ShifnalA hill-top idyll
Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011
A very comfortable modern villa on top of a hill with amazing views north to the sea, south to the White Mountains and olive groves all around. Not overlooked by any other property and a very good location away from the beach, yet within easy striking distance of Platanias and a good base for trips away. Wonderful pool and good facilities, although we couldn't find the promised CD collection and the lawn has been replaced by flowers; at least some lawn might be nice. Some 250 Dvds to choose from for siesta time, albeit most of them never went to the big screen and are of fairly mediocre quality. The cicadas were deafening to start with and quite early risers, but you get used to them. The bedrooms are fine but not overly luxurious and perhaps a little small. Good aircon and large airy central room, with a kitchen table for 10 (12 would be a squeeze). Basement studio (sleeps 2 + sofa bed) is quiet but the drainage wasn't great as it became quite smelly towards the end of the day; however, you wouldn't notice it if you didn't use the basement. Master bedroom very comfortable but odd to have a bath (even if it does have a jacuzzi) as a shower would have been much more useful in the heat. Very well managed property, kept clean by a very efficient lady who also helped put together a simple lunch. Helpful local information from the property manager and the restaurants he recommended were very good; the crate of oranges he supplied were delicious. A great venue and fully recommended, although we were surprised by the request for a 500 euro cash damages deposit on day one (which had not been flagged up anywhere).

Villa annaniko is a fantastic villa with what is expected of a luxury holiday. We had a large family of 6 adults and 3 children. Everyone had a very good experience and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of a private villa provides.
The service from the property manager is impeccable and he will arrange for what you want.
We lived here for 14 days and longs already back.
We recommend the villa of the hottest and highly recommend having a car available.

CopenhagenFantastic villa with great architecture and nature
Left on 11/21/2010 for a stay in October 2010
From the beginning the service was excellent with the pickup at the airport and transportation to the house. Arriving you see an impressive view of the villa from across the canyon. The villa itself is modern and beautifully decorated with great furniture and all the necessary equipment for cooking and dining. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom and are cosy with great beds. The pool area is a whole story by itself. This was where we spent the most of our time. Surrounded by great architecture, the main pool, the kid's pool and the many square meters of great terrace makes a fantastic setting for enjoying the whole day and evening to. The view over the mountains, the ocean and the lights from the waterfront at night is simply fantastic.
The villa is positioned in total privacy only a few kilometres from shops, restaurants and bars in the town Platanias.
All in all we had a great stay in the villa. Everything works and all our expectations were met.
We will be locking foreword to visiting Villa annaniko again.

Warsawworth to come back
Left on 10/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Incredible feeling of space that surrounds you when you seat on the terrace. Undisturbed views over see, islands, villages, mountains, sunrise and sunset. Friendly and stylish modern interiors. A perfect stay, if you want to feel freedom and privacy. Perfect relaxation place for a couple, but it must be so nice to come over with a group of good friends. Master bedroom very comfortable with best views. Didn't use others, but they look into Olive Orchard. Good tips from management. A car is necessary.

EdinburghFantastic
Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The villa is amazing, so luxurious, and great value if you travel with enough people to fill it as we did. The amenities are excellent, Stelios could not have been more helpful or welcoming, and the views are just stunning. The only drawback is that you do need a car as this villa is quite out of the way (hence the amazing views), and it is quite a walk to the nearest village/town. However, this wasnt a problem for us as we wanted to explore Chania so we had rented cars.

Frisco, TXModern, Beautiful & Comfortable home with a magnificent view!
Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We stayed at Villa anniniko for 1 week in June - wish it were 2 - after a week on Santorini. The home is beautiful, the view is unbelievable, and the surroundings are increadibly peaceful. Watching the sunsets from the back patio was a great conclusion to each evening. The Villa sits within a private Olive Orchard that gives you a great deal of privacy - and we enjoyed the large pool with our friends and young children all day, every day. Our hosts were incredbily helpful, providing various recommendations - and although we were only a few minutes from the large resort area, we honestly didn't want to leave the home! It was a perfect place to enjoy a vacation with our children and friends.
