WVI like location not pampering so this was ideal
Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We traveled to Chappaquiddick during the week of the 4th of July. The house is a short walk/bike ride from the ferry and your view of the 4th of July fire works is unbeatable. It is a summer cottage so no ac, no tv's few rustic furnishing and an overall acceptable condition. I would bring my own fans next time as during the day it got warm in the house and it would have been nice at night. The owner called to tell us the stove did not work but that did not effect us too much. At night, I would settle in with my glass of wine and my wonderful husband would ride his bike to the ferry, take the ferry and get me lobster rolls. We did go to the beach right in front of the house (small path and across the road) but usually chose to drive to some of the other remote beaches with our dog and daughter. You could ride your bikes also but with a 5 year old and dog, that was tougher. On the fourth of July we went to Edgartown by bike, watched the parade and then came home to the comfort of the front porch for fire works. Be very prepared with packing and food and be ready for a great time.
