Additional Location Information

THe South of Broad historically protected area of Charleston is the most coveted area to stay and reside. You'll be able to walk to dine, explore the historic homes and shop- the best way to experience this beautiful city. Although this home is newly listed on FlipKey, the home has a glowing rental history on other sites with 32 5 star reviews. This historic home was built c1846 and sits amongst large "in-town" estates of 19th century plantation owners, like the Limehouse Estate just a few houses down. The home has a brick drive that fits one vehicle, and other cars can be parked on Limehouse Street across the street from the house, with no parking pass required on that block. Many guests are attracted to the location of this house as it is in the 'Old and Historic' residential zone, where visitors feel like a local for the duration of their stay. Pedicabs are bicycle taxis readily available in Charleston's eel koan shopping and dining district, or requested anywhere downtown on the end of the peninsula by calling- so this is an option if you stroll up to dinner but prefer to return home quicker. Traditional taxis are also available, we've used "Black Cab" before, which has a variety of vehicles depending on the size of your party. We highly recommend renting bikes, and The Bicycle Shoppe on Meeting Street can deliver bikes with locks to the house via phone to online (they take your measurements for the appropriate size bike). Walking or biking is the best way to experience downtown historic Charleston. The carriage rides are fun and full of historical facts, especially if you get a private carriage ride. Please don't hesitate to ask for tips on enjoying your visit- that is what we are here to do as your personal tour guides!
