Montfair Resort Farm is a country retreat with 8 Eco-friendly Vacation Cottages located at the foot of Pasture Fence Mountain less than 30 min. from historic Charlottesville, Virginia, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Skyline Drive. Only 15 min. from Crozet. The Vacation Cottages overlook a small tranquil lake.
A perfect combination of Comfort, Nature and Simplicity make our cabins the ideal place to get away from it all.

The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. The evening we arrived we were welcomed by the cozy glow of the warm (gas) fireplace. My husband and I were there with our two grown children. The cabin was small but adequate. The woods and grounds were beautiful, views spectacular, with recent snowfall adding to the ambience. We have been going to the Charlottesville area for years to visit family, and this was the first time we stayed at Montfair. I will definitely go back, to try it in another season. Just the thing for people who like simple, rustic, but clean. A gem!

We rented a cabin (#4). Our party consisted of myself, my husband and our 4 children...ages 3, 8, 15, and 16. The cabin was cozy and comfortable with all our major needs meant. My 8 year old and 15 year old enjoyed the room with bunk beds. They enjoyed the individual lighting for night reading. My husband and I, of course, found the main bed room very comfortable and private. My son 3 and my eldest daughter, slept of a fold out futon...found suitable and comfortable. My eldest daughter was able to read with the little lamps available while my son slept. We arrived on Friday afternoon, the grocery store was 15 minutes away and very useful, Harris Teeters. We were able to get all of our weekend goodies. We bbq-ed and cooked in the kitchen. All the modern appliances worked well and I didnt miss my kitchen...too much. The view of the lake was breath taking. We hiked...and hiked and hiked some more! We love to hike including my 3 year old. There was plenty to explore...and we found walking sticks for each family member to help with our footed travels :) We left Monday morning and we were sad to leave. We felt revived and relaxed. Family memories were made. Look forward to our next visit! Thank you, Montfair!!!
