I was recently travelling on business with some colleagues and we found this amazing apartment. It is huge, with the most amazing views over the mountains, and more than big enough for the three of us, it would more than comfortably sleep 6. It was a great location close to the centre of Charlottesville but nice and quiet. The furnishings are amazing very comfortable, I loved the big bath tub, huge shower and it has a great fire place. There was nothing better than coming back to sit in front of the fire then slip into the most comfortable beds. I really thought it was a great place to stay possibly a bit bigger than what we needed for just the 3 of us but it was great to have our own space.

An outstanding, luxurious and spacious apartment, built, furnished and decorated with the chic sophistication of a top designer. Meticulously clean with a great outdoor area making the perfect spot for an afternoon drink. It has been cleverly and considerately designed for your relaxation including the most comfortable bed in which we have ever slept, not to mention the fabulous indulgently deep claw foot bath with the most peaceful view from the bathroom window. The extremely workable gourmet kitchen was quite frankly, one that I wanted to pack up and take home with me. The cosy open fireplace creates an atmosphere that makes you want to just sink in to the couch and never leave but it's worth getting out. Set in the tranquil countryside with views of the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by acres of forest, it's only minutes away from shops, theatres, art galleries, vineyards, restaurants etc. We highly recommend The Ivy Inn for an elegant candlelit dinner with an extensive wine list, seasonal menu and if the shrimp and grits is on, it's an absolute must. Tokyo Rose is the place to go for exceptional fresh Japanese cuisine. Many more eateries are close by like Duner's, a well priced casual fine dining experience with generous servings. If you happen to be around in winter, Wintergreen Resort (ski-on, ski-off) is a little over half an hour drive away and a great way to spend the day. "Monticello" the home of and built by Thomas Jefferson is about twenty minutes drive and well worth a visit and whilst you're in the area we definitely recommend lunch or afternoon tea at Keswick Hall, a glorious mansion set in the picturesque countryside at the foothills of the mountains. Charlottesville is a city with all the amenities you could ask for yet it manages to maintain the affability and sincerity of a small country town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and are looking forward to returning perhaps for longer next time.
