At the end of a long and winding road, this 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom rustic cedar shake cottage sits on a secluded Chatham hilltop, on the "elbow" of Cape Cod, engendering summer breezes throughout the house. The master bedroom is cozily decorated in blue and white evoking the summer sky and the ocean's mist. It contains a king-sized bed, lots of closet space, and unique vintage furnishings. The house contains two more bedrooms - one with a double bed PLUS one single bed; the other bedroom has two twin beds. The eclectically furnished living room has a very nice, comfortable futon - thus providing the ability to sleep a total of 8 persons.
There is no shortage of comfortable seating on which to relax in the large, sun-filled living room, which has a magnificent stone fireplace on one side, and the entrance to one of the home's two decks on the other; the couches and chairs surround a low, circular table, where the house's occupants regularly enjoy dining and board games. The old-fashioned, large kitchen has an alcove, where another dining table and six chairs provide yet more seating for your party and guests, and the ability to host a dinner party, should you wish to, during your stay.
In addition to the living room, there is an adjoining den/library, furnished with two more sofas, lots of books, and a DVD player. WiFi is also provided. Two nice decks - one with a gas grill, plus plenty of seating - are another feature of this vacation home. Nestled high on a hill and surrounded by thick stands of pine trees providing plenty of privacy, this home has a 40's vibe, and is walking distance to Lighthouse Beach and its gorgeous views, and to the center of town, with its great restaurants and charming shops; plus a short drive to other neighboring beaches. Bicycle paths abound in Chatham, and there's a marina only a half-mile away. So you can bring your bikes and hook your boat up to the back of your car!
Amenities include ceiling fans, lots of parking, kitchen with fridge, gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, spring water cooler, dishes, pots and pans and silverware. There is a large window A/C unit in master bedroom and ceiling fans throughout the house. A widow's walk, with distant water views, provides a location for morning coffee or a summer picnic.
