The house was in a lovely quiet area of Chatham, within walking distance to downtown. It was spacious and clean and certainly met our needs. Dealing with Cape Cod Rentals was a pleasure!

There were a number of things that I found odd/not helpful about this home. First and foremost, the musty/mildew odor in the master bedroom was very strong, no matter what we did (open windows to air out, run a fan, etc.). Somebody (the realtor or owner) knows this is an issue, because they hung an odor absorbing net bag on the back of the bedroom door (it didn't help). This could be a serious problem for people w/ allergies, and the rantal policy does not allow for cancellation or refund in the event of allergic reaction/asthma attack - bad news. Additionally, that 1/2 bath is at the other end of the home, so it's easier to consider this a 1-bathroom home for rental purposes. This is particularly true because you only have 1 shower (no outside shower which is typical for most Cape Cod rentals), so when you come back from the beach, if you believe the 6-person sleeping capacity, there will be a long line at the shower door! Also, no clothesline of any sort to hang wet bathing suits and towels(??!!). The grill is a small "football tailgate" - type of grill w/ a small propane cylinder. We only had 3 people, so it was sufficent, but I wouldn't think it would be enough for 6 people (the max the home allows). Also, the grill was absolutely filthy when we arrived - so much for the rental company's threatened fees for leaving things dirty (including the grill). The location was great for walking into downtown Chatham, but there were no good swimming beaches w/in walking distance. As for the price, add about 20% for rental agent fees to the advertised weekly rent. All in all, we've spent the same amount for more home elsewhere in Chatham, but it's what we get for choosing to rent at the last minute. Final word of warning: if you think you are under attack on the Thursday morning of your rental week, it's just the landscaping folks mowing the lawn under you bedroom window @ 8am!

The location was wonderful walk or pretty bike ride into Chatham. Quiet streets and family neighborhood was inviting.
A little musty but all older appliances worked and the price was very reasonable.
We loved the proxity to Chatham beach.
