Relax in a cozy lakeside cabin in the cool mountains of North West Georgia.

Ride the lake and take a swim from a very nice 20ft pontoon boat.

This cabin is located in the marina at Carters Lake and includes use of a boat dock at the marina if you wish to bring your own boat.

The pontoon is available for unlimited use during daylight hours, sun up to sundown, beat the mid day heat and escape for a nap back at the cabin after lunch. Then take a boat ride as the sun sets.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed plus a king bed in the loft. The kitchen is fully equipped and the linens and towels are provided.

Carters Lake is a Corps of Engineers lake, 3200 acres of water with 62 miles of shoreline. No homes or private docks are permitted on carters Lake so the lake is very clean and very quiet.

The lake was built for generation and the Coosawatee River feeds the lake, so constantly moving water means the lake is very fresh and pristine.

The marina is about 30 minutes from the closest restaurants and large grocery stores but a convenient, well stocked ships store onsite can provide most of what you need.

The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, so bring your steaks and cook out on the charcoal grill on the porch.

Explore all the neat towns of the area, Gilmer County , Murray County and Pickens County all have great Chambers of Commerce web sites detailing the areas attractions, so check out your favourite activities and use the marina as a base for your explorations, you will be back !Read more

The cabin is located at Carters Lake Marina & Resort. There are a total of 10 cabins at the marina, the cabin shown is "Luxury Lakeside" Most of our guests bring a boat and a free boat dock at the marina is included. The area arounf Carters is very quiet, closest shops and restaurants about 20 munites away. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet ! There are hiking trails, biking trails and playgrounds around the lake.

  We needed a place for 12-15 people for a long weekend and three cabins here on Carters Lake just fit the bill nicely. This was a cluster of three cabins which made sharing food, having a great place for a picnic and just enjoying the lake ideal. The cabins all have central air and the two bedrooms with two twin beds in the loft just great for the yound kids to enjoy themselves.
  Denise was super nice in answering any questions and as it was a hot weekend, had the a/C going well before check-in so all would be cool.
  The Marina is gated after dark and the way cabins are clustered provides plenty of privacy and avoids noise interference from other guests with 3 cabins full of family. Great view of the lake.
  No pets allowed.
