Troup County, GAA really nice area!
Left on 08/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. There were 4 adults and 4 Children and we all had plenty of room. The kids loved the basement and stayed down there most of the time. The Hot Tub was a definite draw and the area the cabin was in was close to several places that were fun for our families to visit.
The closest Grocery store was the Ingall's in Jasper, but it was a super nice store and the people were really friendly there. We went swimming at the pool in the rec center and also at the little lake beach area and took a hike at the visitors center at Carter's Lake.
It was a great area to go to get away from it all!
The only thing that I would suggest to improve on would be a more thorough cleaning. there were random items (sticks, dog toys, dirt, etc) that were under the couch and chairs, so the floors just need a good cleaning. also the cookware needs to be replaced completely. we made do though and had some good food and fun. and that's the memory that matters. :-) -

Absecon NJGreat for Extended Family
Left on 06/19/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Overall, this was a good value, and met out needs very well. There is a nice view from the upper deck. My favorite bedroom is the queen size bedroom on the main level, off the kitchen, It has a large bathroom with jet tub plus a shower and double sinks. It also has a large walk in closet and plenty of dresser space. The upper level has a large bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, and another bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. The upper level floor has one full common bath. The two lower lever bedrooms are very small, but would be ideal for children, teens or young adults. One of those rooms has 2 twin beds. The other has a set of bunk beds and is part of the laundry / utility room, although, they are hidden behind bi-fold doors. There is a generous full bath on the lower level.
There were a few maintenance issues that should be addressed before future guests arrive; The 2nd Floor shower leaked through the kitchen ceiling (just a few drips). The washing machine is not functioning properly (did not spin) and needs to be repaired or replaced - also the hot and cold water supply lines are reversed, resulting in a hot rinse. The 2nd floor shower rod is bent and needs replacement. Although adequate, additional deck seating, living room seating and additional dinnerware and glasses would be beneficial. Please supply more hangers. The queen size bedroom (upper level) could benefit be placing at least one dresser for the quests clothes.
Thank you for making your home available. We enjoyed our stay. Ps. Don't bother bring coffee filters. There were 3 200 packs of filters there, after we left.

I had a great stay at this cabin. I especially had an easy time finding this cabin and getting everything organized with the help of Rose Taylor. She was a tremendous help and made renting the cabin extremely easy and was very flexible for us. Much appreciated, I have given multiple reviews for this cabin to my friends and would without a doubt go back.

Left on 01/13/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We enjoyed a week stay December 2011 and couldn't be happier. It was amazing to have a house big enough to accommodate our large family. The location was amazing being we were the only house on the hill so the boys could play as loud and wild outside as they wanted;) We enjoyed the lake and also the nature trails in the resort. One of the best parts besides being such a beautiful cabin is it is also kid friendly and easy to keep clean. I would have been a wreak with 2 year old twins in most houses but this was perfect. We will hopefully be returning next year. Thanks again!

Left on 01/12/2011 for a stay in December 2010
The cabin we stayed in was the only one on the cul-de-sac, that added to the privacy. The cabin was clean, spacious, well stocked with towels and easy to locate. We had plenty of parking and a great view from the family room of the lake. We will be planning another trip in april or November to return to the same cabin. This was our Christmas Vacation with our children. When we was snowed in and KZ Office was more than willing to accommodate additional stay. Thanks KZ Cabins...

Left on 01/07/2011 for a stay in December 2010
This was the nicest cabin we've stayed in in this area. The price was excellent due to the cyber weekend rates we got right after Thanksgiving and the fact that we could have our dog with us made our vacation extra special. The cabin is very new and very comfortable and the view of the Carters Lake was beautiful. Wish we could have walked to it but you can't. We took advantage of the horse ride into the mountains north of there about 25 mins - that was amazing. I liked the fact that the roads were paved including the driveway up to the cabin itself. It was a perfect after Christmas retreat for my husband and I and our 3 teens. We will probably stay in this cabin again!

Jerry from Nashville
NashvilleNice cabin
Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We found the cabin to be an average cabin. The directions to the cabin are horrible. When I tried to contact KZ asking if the directions on the website from Nashville were correct I got the answer "there are no directions from Nashville. It's on your website. Also, I was a bit disappointed with the ad stating DirectTV only to find out it's a basis package...less than 10 channels. Overall I won't be staying at another KZ cabin.
Response from KZCabins - 05/15/2012
Manager
Hi Jerry, thank you for your feedback. According to our records, you are correct: you asked if the directions on our website from Nashville to the cabin were correct and we answered, "No the directions on the website are from Nashville to Ellijay, not to the cabin itself." We email every guest detailed turn by turn directions directly to the cabin from Atlanta, GA with your Access Package. When we get requests for specific directions from other cities to the cabins we do create those and send them to you. Hopefully you didn't use GPS like it says not to on our directions - As far as TV goes, we were not aware of a problem with the DirectTV programming. It passed our QA pre-arrival inspection as working correctly. We did not receive a call from you to report that problem during your stay. We have after hours phone numbers posted in the cabin book, directions and on our voice mail system to address any issues. It could be possible that the satellite receiver was inadvertently turned off and you were cycling through local VHF antenna channels. We are sorry to hear you won't be staying with us again due to a couple of things that were not in our control.

This was an awesome place to stay. A few infractions such as hot/cold water misplacement in basement interfered with desire to do laundry. Also had some concern with one basement bedroom lighting (sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't).Overall though, this was a fabuolus and memorable vacation! We would stay here again!:))

We arrived at the am-Ni and found it to be very clean and inviting. Mood music was on when we arrived and we left it on during our entire stay. We will for sure return this year. It is amazing to be the only house in the subdivision and nearly total privacy. Thank you for representing your property accurately in the description!
