My family, my parents, & my sister's family just stayed here over the weekend and it worked out great! We were in town for a wedding and it was so nice to have the xtra space for our children to play and nap. House was clean and comfortable and Dan the owner was easy to work with. We would stay here again!

We had six adults and 3 kids staying at Ridge Retreat for five nights. There was ample room and all the amenities were there (e.g. cable TVs, wifi). The place is clean and well provisioned for linens, kitchen utencils, laundry. The view of Lookout Mountain is spectacular.

My family and I were blown away with the property. The kitchen was a dream with necessities plus extra. The open floor plan keep me in the loop as I cooked but was able to still converse with my family. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed to separate living spaces as we had an array in ages. The views were breath-taking. The house was clean with amenities at hand (towels, wash cloths, iron, washer/dryer, dish ware, cookware, etc). Mr. Cooper was wonderful to work with. His response time was very quick. He is very pleasant and very professional. The location was fairly easy to get to. The parking was a little tricky at first (after all, the house does sit on a ridge), but easily got the hang of it. We enjoyed grilling out on the patio. We took many pictures on the deck over-looking the city with that great view of Lookout Mountain. We were close to the grocery store. Great care has gone into this property. The decor is nice and up-to-date.

A group of us stayed here for a few nights to celebrate New Years Eve together. Ridge Retreat was a perfect place for us and had everything we needed. It was so conviently located to downtown Chattanooga that we got to do a lot of neat things during our stay there. We also loved the view! If we make it back to Chattanooga, we definitely hope to be able to stay at Ridge Retreat again!

Everything everyone said - view, location, space, clean - all that was very true. Having two living spaces also turned out to be awesome for us. We had seven people, and the living space upstairs was plenty big for us to share time as a group, but the additional space downstairs gave us options for smaller group interactions.
Highly recommended. -

My family recently stayed here while in Chattanooga for a wedding. The house is gorgeous and very well kept. We loved the view over the valley and of Lookout Mountain. We were easily able to accommodate 4-5 adults and three children. We took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed dining on the deck. The porch swing on the lower deck was my favorite spot, very tranquil.
The only downsides were the steep driveway and the directions from Mapquest to the house were very difficult to follow. I didn't have a problem with either, but some in the party mentioned it, and for all the complaining about the driveway, we were able to easily accommodate 4-5 cars with no accidents.
It is an absolutely gorgeous location on historic Missionary Ridge and I would highly recommend it. Also, Mr. Cooper is very timely with his email communications. -

Never been to Chattanooga, but finding Ridge Retreat made our visit there very comfortable. Our Family reunion consisted of 8 adults. There was plenty of room for socializing, playing games, eating, sleeping ect..
We loved the views from the deck. The owner (Dan) was nice and helpful. Our deposit was returned very quickly.
This was our first experience with a vaction rental. We Loved It!! We will do it again. Try Ridge Retreat, you will be pleased. -

This place was exactly what my family needed! Beautiful view, quiet neighborhood, close to everything we needed. House well stocked with essentials. Beautifully decorated. Pictures do not do it justice as far as the actual size. We had seven adults and were not walking over each other.Never ran out of hot water!!! If you are a "flatlander" the driveway is tricky, but still so worth the stay. We will rent again.

Me and my husband just stayed here in June 2012. It was much more space than we needed but we loved it. House was nice and neat. Nice decks. Great view. Everything was in good working condition. Owner was always available to take our calls whenever we had a question and he was super helpful. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay there again if in Chattanooga.

Our family gathered from Washington St., Michigan & Tennessee for a wonderful week of family time. The house accomodated us easily. The location was great, easy to access sites of interest and definitely a wonderful place to just sit, enjoy the views and "catch up" with everyone. We had breakfast on the front deck many mornings. Everyone left feeling more connected and looking forward to doing this again. It was great.

My husband and I met his brother and sister-n-law and three kids for a weeks vacation. The house was well above and beyond anything I had expected. We had everything that we needed to cook and even do the laundry. We ate breakfest on the back deck overlooking the city and the view of lookout mountain every morning which was such a great time. Dan kept in touch with us on everything and always answered our questions very fast. He had great recommendations for dinner at the Sugar Rib place which was great. Thank you Dan for opening up your home for us and making our vacation.

Left on 06/24/2012 for a stay in June 2012
My family of 5 met with a brother and sister in law for a week vacation in chattanooga. The house exceeded all expectations, I have stayed at several rental homes, and this is one of the best. Us and the kids stayed in the 2 rooms upstairs, and let the other couple take the downstairs so that they could get away from the kids if they wanted to. Loved the master bathroom shower that has two shower heads! It was great having 3 full bathrooms. The back deck has a great view of lookout mountain. We loved being "out of town" but only a couple minutes from the interstate and maybe 10-15 minutes from the heart of downtown. There was space for the kids to run and play and catch fireflies while we adults lounged on the deck talking. Dan was very helpful all throughout the process, he kept contact with both me and my sister in law, even though she is the one who made the payment. Thanks Dan for sharing your house!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. The house itself was so warm and welcoming and the view from the deck was magnificent. Ridge Retreat was the perfect space for us, a wonderful place to gather from several states for a family wedding. There truly was comfortable sleeping space for 10, and the location was awesome -- beautiful views and conveniently located. Dan was very helpful in answering questions, walking us through the payment process, and even refunding extra fees that we didn't end up needing. For customer service alone we'd recommend it!

Left on 02/10/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My co-worker and I stayed here for almost a month while we were working in the area. The Ridge Retreat was a great choice for a place to stay. It was cheaper than staying in even the cheapest of hotels. Besides saving money, we each had our own room and bathroom. It was great having the kitchen, living room and laundry. So convenient.
The location is beautiful. The view off the ridge is incredible, especially at night. I would have no problem bringing my family back here for a vacation stay. The owner (Dan) is a great guy. Very honest. We had no problems at all. Even refunded our security deposit just a few days after we left!
Thanks Dan. We appreciate you offering us your home!

I read the earlier reviews concerning Dan and his Ridge Retreat. I completely agree with everyone's glowing comments. We were extremely happy with the accomodations and with Dan's professionalism. I'm surprised no one mentioned the tiled master shower with dual showerheads. Nice touch Dan!
Dan's recommendations for nearby eateries were spot on. Once night we had BBQ from Sugar's on the larger of his two decks. The sunset over Lookout Mtn. was to die for. When the sun sank, we enjoyed the twinkling lights of Chattanooga down below.
Having spent time on Missionary Ridge as a youngster, I was well aware its Civil War history. It was great to walk up North Crest Drive from Dan's place to see all the Civil War Monuments.
If you stay at the Ridge Retreat, take care of it. We would like to stay there again someday.

This home was a great facility for our family vacation. Close to all attractions and the night sight of the city was fantastic. The home was adequate for our family of nine. Very adequate for multiple activities due to large video area and bar in the lower area. We would not hesitate in recommending this home for other vacationers.

Our family had planned on spending the week after New Year at the ridge retreat. We had an unfortunate family emergency and had to cancel our trip all together. I contacted Dan ten days before our arrival and much to my surprise he refunded the entire deposit, without question. His courtesy and genuine warm wishes were a refreshing encounter. The world would be a better place if they could follow his lead in doing business. We can't wait to finally make our trip to Chattanooga and spend time in his home.

We had to make unusual travel plans since we were working around our daughter's college classes and our son's high school football schedule. The owner was easy to work with even though our rental couldn't be a traditional Sat-Sat. stay. The home was lovely and very clean and located near several interesting attractions for our family. We would absolutely stay here again.
