Description from the owner

We are currently booking our 2013 rental season. Please contact me if you are interested in dates starting in June of 2013. Please note additional 5% Chautauqua County Occupancy tax for 2013.

The 1880s Victorian home is in Pt Chautauqua on Chautauqua Lake, a beautiful lakeside community of quaint homes on winding lanes and towering trees. The 4-bedroom/2-bath house is not lakefront but just about 100 yards from the lake along a paved community path.

The 1880s Victorian has been professionally decorated to make it a warm, relaxing spot. Sit and relax on the charming front porch or enjoy the privacy of the side porch and patio....Read more

      Chautauqua Lake Vacation Home

Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The home couldn't haven been nicer. It was clean, organized, and fully equipped. The front porch or back patio were the perfect places to relax at the end of a long day at the Chautauqua Institution. The lawn and gardens were beautiful and one could certainly feel the love infused in the entire property.

This home is an absolutely perfect lovely home away from home.

Left on 08/31/2011 for a stay in August 2011

This home is absolutely perfect and filled with any amenity you could possibly want/need. It accomodates 8 people very comfortable. The porch is perfect for wine and cheese in the evening and coffee in the morning. The sorrounding gardens are very lovely and inviting and have a nice touch of herbs used as accents or eating enjoyment. The home is warmly decorated and is stocked with various books for various ages reading enjoyment. The kitchen is nicely equipped for most styles of cooking including the spice cupboard. The home was very clean and very well maintained. The location of this home is ideal for a nice walk to the lake and is only a short drive (maybe 15 minutes)to the Chautauqua Institute. This home was absolutely perfect for my husband and group of friends, however it also would be ideal for a family with younger children (high chair age)and teenagers.

      Wonderful House in Beautiful Location

Left on 06/07/2011 for a stay in June 2011

The house and location was even prettier than the pictures - it was just wonderful.
We were staying at the house with my husband's father, 2 sisters, our son and 1 niece for a family wedding in the area. Nancy was very accommodating when we asked to rent bed linens and towels. Since we had the nicest rental place everybody congregated at our place; there is a gas grill we used, a fire pit (including wood) which we used to let the kids roast marshmallows, a porch with comfortable furniture to relax.
The exterior and interior is impeccable, all rooms, bathrooms & kitchen super clean. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need including toaster, many pots & pans, nice tableware, lots of kitchen tools, spices, staples like sugar & coffee...
When you enter the house it feels like you are invited into your friends' home. The owners tastefully and lovingly decorated each room. While it is not a waterfront property there is a path that leads from the house to the waterfront in less than 5 minutes.
Midway Park is only 5 min driving distance - a great entertainment for any child between 2 and 12 years of age.
If we get the chance we will come back for sure.

      Beautiful home, perfect location

Left on 10/13/2010 for a stay in October 2010

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Nancy was great to deal with and made the transaction go very smoothly.
Everything was clean and well kept, and just as described. The kitchen was fully stocked with nice dishes and just about anything you could think of. There was plenty of hot water for the 6 of us. The front porch and back yard were beautiful and very well maintained.
The only small problem we had was parking. We had 2 boats and 2 trucks. Luckily the neighbors were very nice and offered part of their driveway to us.
The lake is well within walking distance and the neighborhood is a registered historic district.
We loved looking through the pictures of the renovation of this house (located on a side table in the living room); Nancy and her family did a great job!
      We can't wait to return!

We loved staying in this lovely home.

Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010

Nancy Paul thought of every detail that would make our stay more enjoyable - binoculars for birdwatching, Dvds and games for a rainy day, beautifully appointed bedrooms, updated bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. Outside we enjoyed the hammock, the bird feeders and the plastic toys for the kids. Everything was perfect.

      Lake Chautauqua Rental

Left on 01/24/2010 for a stay in August 2009

Wonderful. After staying in other rentals around Lake Chautauqua we found Nancy P.s rental property and fell in love with it. We will be staying again this year which will our 7th year. It is well furnished, both the living/bedroom areas as well as the kitchen. Great back yard patio area and lovely front porch. Located near the Chautauqua Institute. Close to the lake for boating and water activities. Lots of things to see and do in nearby Bemus.

Left on 01/22/2010 for a stay in June 2009

Nancy's home is a wonderful place to stay. There was a total of 4 of us and we all had our own rooms which by the way were very neat and clean. Actually the whole house was immaculate. The yard and garden were wonderful also..........she grows herbs which you can pick and use when cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything. It was centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go.I would definately recommend staying at Nancy's place you will not be disappointed.
