Welcome to Eagle Rock Bed and Breakfast/Vacation Rental. Located in the town of chemainus, just 1 hour north of Victoria, and 20 minutes south of nanaimo. A waterfront rural community filled with quaint shops, friend people and of course the world famous Chemainus Murals. Although the bustling Capital City of Victoria is just 1 hour away, our quaint seaside town of is only 20 from BC Ferries Terminal and 1 hour from Victoria International Airport. The ambience of Eagle Rock is one of peace and tranquility.

This Seaside home is a favorite for those seeking a beautiful, nature-filled destination. With one of the mildest and sunniest... climates in Canada, chemainus, BC makes a wonderful year round destination. Eagle Rock was built in 2010 to accommodate those seeking unparalleled luxury, large rooms with comfortable beds and stunning ocean views. At Eagle Rock you can enjoy listening to the nearby creek or walk along the community's private beach while watching eagles soar overhead and deer in the nearby forest. Whether you are seeking a peaceful retreat, a romantic getaway, or simply to experience a natural wonder, you will find what you are looking for at the Eagle Rock. A short stroll brings you to the quaint port town of chemainus, where you will find the world renowned chemainus Murals, the chemainus Theater, charming shops, bike rentals, and restaurants to please any culinary palate.

Our property sits only a few steps from the calming waters of the Georgia Straight. We have a private pebble beach that teems with wildlife; otters, seals, clams, mussels, sea stars, whales. All this with panoramic views and spectacular year round sunsets.

This home is brand new, built in 2010, with amazing views. There is 1 ensuite bedroom, with a king size bed, our other bedroom is just across the hall and has a half bathroom with one queen size bed. Both rooms, overlook our garden, have extremely comfortable pillow top beds, 800 count linen, a beautiful writing desk, and closet organizers. The bathrooms both possess granite counter top, custom cabinetry and high end fixtures. Our guests have the use of $1400 square feet living area, kitchen and formal dining room, all which contain hardwood floors, granite counters, and central air conditioning and Heating for year round comfort. The gourmet kitchen is absolutely beautiful with custom 42 inches cabinets, gas i Stove, stainless steel Farm House sink and high end appliances. There are spectacular ocean views from living room, kitchen and dining room for those cozy winter evenings or “game night”. Our guest also have the use of a computer and a wireless 'all in one' printer/copier/scanner & fax machine.

What is most enjoyable about Eagle Rock is the feeling of serenity one has in this most beautiful place. There is a large dining table where you can enjoy your meals overlooking the ocean, or simply step out the door and have breakfast and watch the sunrise at the beach. We sit amongst a heavily treed forest, only 1 block away there is a salmon creek that cascades into the ocean. There is nothing as peaceful as listening to the creek cascade into the ocean. You are overtaken by the feeling of living in a peaceful forest setting on the ocean's edge. Eagles and deer abound as well as a myriad of marine life ( including occasional sightings of Orcas....Killer Whales ) and the adjacent waters are a favorite fishing ground for locals and tourists alike. We have 4 resident Eagles that we watch several times a day sit atop the trees just outside our home. Best of all the home is approximately 2 miles from the highway so there is no traffic noise. You experience the feeling that you are in the middle of the forest with awesome sound and smell of ocean and mountains all around. Although the neighborhood is quite rural, most anything one would ever need can be found in the quaint village of Chemainus 3 minutes away. However, if one is in need of a big City 'fix', there is none more beautiful than Victoria with its charming English Flavor..... an enjoyable one hour drive through the Malahat mountains, or simply head north and enjoy the harbor and city life of Nanaimo.

There are a wealth of activities in close proximity to Eagle Rock, fishing, kayaking, hiking, wine tasting tours, scuba diving, golfing, swimming, rock climbing, Butchart Gardens, museums, parks etc. The BC Ferries Terminal is minutes away for those who might choose to explore any of the neighboring Gulf Islands or venture to the Mainland to discover the vibrant city of Vancouver. Note, as of October 2010, The Gulf Islands have been named the seventh top rated Coastal destination in the world by National Geographic Traveler....and Eagle Rock sits in and amongst these islands.

We are very centrally located 50 miles North of Victoria, 20 miles South of Nanaimo, British Columbia. .We are 1 kilometer from the quaint shops in Chemainus. A perfect and centrally located to see all of Vancouver Island. We are in a very upscale neighborhood, 200 ft from the water with beach access. A creek runs into the ocean just 1 block away. Eagle soar overhead and deer meander throughout the neighborhood.

  My husband and I spent our honeymoon here. We stayed for a full week, and received excellent service. Our hosts were attentive and very accommodating. They were friendly, without being smothering. The house was spacious and we had lots of privacy. The location was beautiful, right near the water. Very romantic! :) The breakfasts were delicious, and the fruit from their very own garden was a much appreciated touch! :) We would definitely come here again.

  A new home in a quiet cul-de-sac at the bottom of a new development with second storey views of the Bay above a small park. Two bedrooms share a shower, a full kitchen, a beautiful dinng room and living room. The living area faces the ocean. Very new,clean, very spacious. Access through keyless entry via the garage. A steep lot, so lots of steps broken by landings. A permanent tenant,very nice, very quiet shares one of the rooms. Jim is a stellar host, concerned, and accomodating, knowledgeable of the area. Bed room is spacioius and well appointed. His sign is not yet up so ensure you have the picture and the address. We had a simple breakfast so we can't comment on his culunary skills! The silver candelabra on the table was a nice touch!

  This bed and breakfast was a quiet and relaxing retreat on our visit to Vancouver Island. Our 2 night stay was a restful break, just what we needed. A relaxing walk on the beach and a tour of the murals in Chemainus rounded out our stay in a first class B&B; with very congenial hosts.

  This was my first time on Vancouver Island, our two nights in Chemainus were the best part of the trip. The best part of Chemainus was staying with jim and Katrina at Eagle Rock. The location was almost as beautiful as the accommodation and the service was first class. If you are going to be in Chemainus and are looking for a first class bed and breakfast you have to give them a try.

  Serenity, quality and attention to detail

  Vancouver Island is a little known treasure outside of Victoria, the capital city. Just head north and you will soon find Chemainus which is a charming little seaside town. Our hosts the Chilcoats have spared no expense in designing and building a high end retreat with an amazing view of the ocean. Everything is first class and this being a new house, it is completely modern and spacious. The beach is less right across the street. We highly recommend this luxury B&B; that is well priced.
