The property was central to the town, river & all amenities...it was clean, warm & comfortable with everything provided. Situated just off the Walls & close to the "famous" Albion Public House, it provided an ideal location & base for everything we wanted & expected from Chester.

A good central location for Chester and North Wales.
The accommodation was comfortable with a good kitchen and nice amenities.
Parking available but the space allocated to this accommodation is a bit tight for a large car.
Overall I would recommend. -

BasingstokeGreat apartment in excellent location

My wife and I stayed here for a week and found it to be excellent but we were disappointed on arrival to find a note stating that the TV had broken the previous day and would be replaced as soon as possible. Having had a similar experience abroad (when nothing was done throughout our stay), we were doubtful that this would be resolved quickly but were surprised and delighted when, after an hour, the lady owner (I forget her name) knocked on the door with a new replacement TV which was quickly set up and working. I would like to thank her again for being so diligent.
As stated in the property description, everything needed was provided and in good condition. Often overlooked basics such as tea, coffee, sugar and salt were even provided which we thought was helpful. There is a good Tesco Express just round the corner so no problem getting essential supplies.
The parking was rather tight but not too bad as the car park was not full, however the parking bay is under a cherry tree which resulted in a deluge of sticky petals all over my car.
Best of all was the central location as this was our first visit to Chester and, although we knew it was within the city walls, we were pleasantly surprised how convenient it was for walking virtually anywhere.
The nearby albion pub had reasonable beers but the WW1 food was a great disappointment (corned beef hash with virtually no corned beef) and fairly expensive for what it was. Still worth a visit though as only 100 yards away and nice ambience.
Mobile internet (i.e. Gprs/3g) reception in Chester is generally poor so wi-fi would have been a great bonus, but we found a number of pubs provide free wi-fi so this was not such a problem.
The only negative note was the bathroom which, although well equipped, had a carpet (never a good idea with damp areas) and a rather noisy extractor fan. Also the towels had a slight musty smell and probably just needed boiling.
Overall this apartment is strongly recommended for couples but, despite the sofa bed in the lounge, it might be awkward for more than two people. -

Excellent location. Great facilities down to pepper, salt and kitchen knives. Wi-fi would have been nice.
Cons were no direct contact with caretaker, and a need to read through appliance manuals if you wanted to use anything. No change of sheets offered though I was booked for two weeks. And the door keys were hard to get used to. -

It was probably the nicest vacation flat that we've ever rented. We just came back from Sicily yesterday and we were discussing our next adventure. Both my husband and I said we would go back to Chester if we could rent the place at albion Mews again.

This apartment was in an ideal location to explore Chester, located by the city wall and a short walk from the river, plus convenient for shopping. We found both the apartment and Chester itself fantastic and would recommend to others.

This apartment is a little gem, tucked away just off the main streets. Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious and a perfect place for a spot of retail therapy and exploration in lovely Chester. Loved it!!!!

Left on 12/02/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We had a very happy and relaxing stay at the Chester apartment.
The apartment is only 1 minute from city centre, and short walk to riverside and historic sites and restaurants.
Off street parking was a big advantage.
The apartment is well equipped and clean, with new modern furniture, except for the carpet which needed cleaning or replacing as it was very dirty in places and detracted from the overall appearance.
I would be happy to recommend this apartment to friends and family.
My one real complaint is with yourselves (Sykes) - as we are from New Zealand the only way we can pay is by credit card for which you add a fee. AS we paid the deposit and balance by credit card you charged us two lots of fees. I would like to suggest that overseas clients are not charged this fee. As it adds a considerably to the overall cost. I know you pay credit card charges (I have been in business many years myself and know they can add to your running costs) However, I feel you should make consideraiton for overseas guests. - Your comments on this point would be appreciated.
Kindest regards
Gwyn Hanson
