Aberdeen, United KingdomLovely spotlessly clean condo
Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed here for 3 days and found this condo ideal for the both of us.
Only 5 minutes walk from the fresh food market and 5 minutes taxi to night bazzar 50 baht in a taxi.
This condo had everything we needed spacious clean with balcony and big swimming pool and near to everything.there is also 2 bikes we can use free of charge.
When we arrived Trevor and Pat were there to meet us they then gave us an information book which was very usefull and they told us everywhere worth viisting in the area and gave us the numbers of the cheapest taxis in the city
they could not have been more helpful.
why pay for a 2 star or 3 star room in a hotel when you can get this lovley apartment for the same priceResponse from Trev & Pat Davey - 04/11/2013

Many thanks GC for taking the time to review. Much appreciated. We hope to see you again next time you are passing this way. All the best and Choc dee. Trev and Pat.

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The apartment is really clean, tidy and spacious. We felt at home right from the start. Trevor and Pat were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. It's in a good location. The taxi driver had no difficulty finding the place. Lots of good cheap eating places around. We loved the night market! The swimming pool is not fancy at all but it's huge and most days I had the whole pool to myself! The wifi works well unlike some places we've stayed at. There's nothing we dislike about the place. Good value for money.

Ottawa, CanadaVery nice place to stay in Chiang Rai
Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family (2 adults, 1 child), stayed here for four nights in mid-July 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners happily greeted us as we arrived and showed us around. The condo itself was very comfortable for our family. The pool is great and the end unit has excellent access to a huge terrace overlooking the city. There are many little pluses built into the rental (free coffee and fruit, etc) when you arrive that are really nice to have after traveling to get to Chiang Rai. Trevor (the owner) helped us with all sorts of things when we were there, not the least of which was finding tickets to see a Chiang Rai United football match - it was great fun attending with their family! There is an expat-friendly pub/restaurant very close by and everything else in Chiang Rai seems either within easy walking distance or no more than 60 baht away by tuk-tuk. We'll absolutely stay here again if we return to Chiang Rai.

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Normally in Thailand for the price of this room you get a hotel with a reasonably nice lobby and pictures of a clean room. After you pay, you find the room to be 25 years old and a bathroom full of mold. This was the opposite. The lobby, hallways and pool are old and not inviting, but the room is impeccable. It's in a good location, it's quite, and no mold in site (this is almost unheard of in Thailand). The room is very large by hotel standards and has nice cooking facilities. For 2 adults and one child it's a perfect size. The couch folds out into a bed but as it is very short, it's really only good for a small child-I'd say 10-12 years old or younger. The bed is large but does have a hard (too hard for my comfort) mattress. We've found this is absolutely normal for any Thai hotel under about 2500 baht per night. As we don't care to have a hotel with a grand lobby, this accommodation was excellent for our family. We stayed for about a month and were happy the entire visit.

60713Great apartment to Relax and Enjoy Chiang Rai
Left on 02/18/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We stayed at Pat and Trevor's apartment for a week. It is a studio apartment in a larger (maybe the highest building in Chiang Rai) complex right outside of the main tourist area. The building is a bit "worn" but the aprtment is fresh and clean and pleasant. It's about a 15 minute very pleasant walk to the center and 5-7 minutes to the local market. It is very comfortable and clean and a welcome respite from staying in a hotel...just enough room to spread out a bit and to make your own breakfasts or any other meal (why would you?Thai food is so very good and inexpensive.) We couldn't have been happier here!

I stayed a week at this wonderfull condo in Chiang Rai.I had a very nice time. It's such a neat place. I had the chance to meet the owners Trevor and Pat.He is English and she is Thai. They are a very nice couple and dedicated to make your stay the best. The condo is everything you want to be when you are abroad(just check the owners pictures and it's even better in real).I already wanted to book it last year but it was sold out.Try to do it in advance if you know your dates and you won't be disapointed. The place is pretty large and you have a nice view of the city(7th floor). You can have access to the swimming pool and it's near the night market(the real one, not the bazaar) you can stroll at night for food at a great price. The owners leaves you a lot of infos, so if you are here for the 1st time , you'll know what to do and where to go and there are so many things to see, do, visit in and around the city.

We stayed for three weeks at the condotel. Didn't get to meet Trevor but Pat was lovely and couldn't be more helpful. The condo itself is bright and spotlessly clean. Small shop over the road and a laundry service a few meters down on the right at reasonable prices. All in all, a relaxing place to stay.

Thank you J & K for taking the time to post a review. Pat & I are very happy that you enjoyed your stay in our condo, in this ancient part of the Lanna kingdom. Safe onward travels. Pat and Trevor Davey.

Perth, AustraliaVery enjoyable stay in a great apartment
Left on 07/28/2011 for a stay in April 2010
We stayed in Chiang Rai for 4 days and enjoyed the luxury of having our own large, comfortable and exceptionally well appointed apartment.
From the we arrived and were met by Pat, we felt very much at home with a large bed (had the best sleep we experienced in Thailand), fridge, cooking facilities, TV/DVD and sofa lounge and the nice touches like a large bowl of local fruit and stocked bar fridge.
The apartment is on a high floor of a large block offering excellent views of Chiang Rai, is close to the centre of town and, markets, 7-elevens and a number of well known Wats.
Pat supplied all the local knowledge, nothing was too hard for her and she was always there for us (a phone call away) if we needed anything or any advice.
We would recommend the apartment to any visitors to Chiang Rai. We will stay there again next tiem we visit.
Thanks Pat and Trevor. -

Left on 02/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
I have really enjoyed staying in the condo for a month. Pat has been very helpful, the location is superb--far enough away to avoid noise, but everything still in walking distance. It's big and light and the view from the balcony is great--also from the deck on the side of the building. Internet is reliable and fast enough. After a month is Chiang Rai I am still not bored with this lovely town and cannot imagine why anyone would choose Chiang Mai instead! Thanks--it's been wonderful.

We had a great time in Chiang Rai. The condo is well positioned and has everything you need. It is clean and very nicely maintained. Pat was great she gave us a phone so that we could call her if we needed anything(thus cutting out expensive phone calls on our mobile) and a code to access the internet in the lobby. We enjoyed watching some of the videos in the condo. All in all a great condo in a great little town

BangkokLovely Spacious condo in Chiang Rai
Left on 10/14/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We decided to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for 3 days, finding this condo on Trip advisor, and so glad that we did. It only took just over an hour to fily from Bangkok via air asia. When we arrived we were met by Pat and she made us very welcome. The information and maps in the condp made planning our day trips easy. The condo is close to the city centre, and the Mae Kok river. We loved the long tail boat trip up river to the akha village. Chiang Rai is a lovely quiet city, with more the feel of a small town. Lots to see and do and great food. We will be back.

We recommend this nice studio, a queen size bed and sofa convertible! The owners made everything to make us feel good and gave us information whenever we needed it! Thanks!
The condo is not far from the night market (15mn by walking approximatively) and from all the massage, restaurants...
We visited many places around Chiang Rai (gold triangle, elephant ride, hot springs...etc...)
A good place near nature and really peaceful region.
Just be careful with taxi -tuk tuk, can be expensive for tourists! -

we stayed in trevors apartment in april 2010 for 3 nights and having experienced the wonders of chiang rai we would definitely stay again, next time but for longer as you really need at least a week or so to take it all in.when we arrived at the condotel we were met by pat,a local thai lady who speaks very good english and takes care of the apartment for trevor while he is away, she is great for travel advise and booking hire cars or motorcycles etc, this apartment is very clean, the double bed is very comfi and you have all the luxuries of home at your disposal, the nightlife in chiang rai is great and is only a 10 - 15 minute walk away, just go out of the condo, turn left on the main road, keep walking and you will come to a massive gold clock tower, from here there are lots of bars and shops and a fantastic night bazaar with lots of great food and entertainment, the best way to see northern thailand is to hire a car for a few days as we did, cost about 1.500 thb per day but well worth it as you can head up to the hill tribes and do the elephant trecking in the kok river area etc, lots to see and do,a great adventure, lots of great photo opportunities,we will never forget our wonderful time in chiang rai,so if you are going to thailand do yourselves a favour, take time to visit chiang rai,it only takes an hour by plane from bangkok, and like us experience the real thailand and give the beaches a rest for a few days, you will be so glad you did.

I loved my week in Chiang Rai The condo I rented was a perfect base for travelling from. A very clean & spacious appartment whith a lovely balcony over looking the pool. Pat was very welcoming & helpful and spoke good English. Cool enough to walk to the centre in the evenings, and cheap enough to get a tuk-tuk by day. The Mai Kok river is close to the condo, and a boat trip here up river to the elephant camp, and visiting the local hill tribes was a unique and humbling experience. Saturday night has a night market 'Walking Street' that is vast and is close to the condo. It took me over 2 hours to look around. Lots of hand crafted souvenier bargains. The local tours were varied and well priced. If you want to avoid the mass tourist crowds, and experiece some real Thai culture & food, I recomend a trip to Chiang Rai.
