Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful place to stay in the Chicago area.
The condo was immaculate, beautiful, and spacious with all the amenities you have at home . It made the time with our family perfect. A restful retreat to return to after a day at the museum and a lovely space to just be together. Your advertising is truthful and we are now your biggest fans. When we return to Chicago we plan to return to andersonville Guesthouse. Don't miss the Swedish Bakery just down the street.
Thanks again,
P.S. The shower in the master was awesome!Response from David Krug - 02/05/2013

Left on 01/26/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed for 3 nights during the New Year 2013. The unit was so beautiful! We loved the high ceiling, lovely-huge kitchen, amazing sound from the entertainment system, and especially awesome bathroom!!! Well managed property.
We saw a lot of good reviews on serveral sites, so we decided to book with andersonville Guesthouse, and they were right! We had such a great time--our best time during the trip was actually when we were back to spend time at the condo and cook some food.
Side note: talking with the locals, they said this location was in a good neighborhood. So, pretty safe. -

What a wonderful introduction to Chicago! We all came to watch our brother run the Chicago Marathon and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. We had a 2 BR/2 bath immaculate and spacious unit. Fully equipped. It was great to have a comfortable base for all of the exploring we did. Andersonville is a fun, diverse, funky little neighborhood. We stocked the fridge for breakfast/lunch, but we found great restaurants in the neighborhood for dinner. We never needed to go downtown. In addition to the spots on N. Clark St., a few blocks away on Broadway we found some great Vietnamese food. The 22 bus or the Red Line are nearby, so getting to all the Chicago sites is very easy. Estimates for getting to/from O'Hare were a little optimistic. We experienced anywhere from 45 min to an hour, since we all traveled to/from at different times and different days, so plan accordingly. Kudos to the staff at the Guesthouse. Everything from first contact and throughout our stay went very smoothly and everyone was most accommodating!!

Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The staff was very prompt and friendly before we booked our stay. The location was great for us because we got to explore a near new neighborhood in Chicago. Plenty of bars/restaurants that are easily walkable from the condo. It was great to have a spot in the garage to park. The condo amenities were perfect, it was very clean, quite, comfortable beds, large closet and bathroom. We wished we could have stayed longer but will definitely be back. The only word of caution is that if your looking to be right downtown this might not be the best option for you because it is a little bit of an drive.

Loved this apartment - stayed for a week with my husband and son and daughter. We stayed in 2N which overlooked the cemetery but don't let this put you off - it was a lovely tree lined street. The apartment had everything you would need - loads of storage, big walk in shower, washing machine/dryer, dish washer, it was enormous and spotless with wooden floors. We didn't have any problems with noise although you could hear people moving cases around but thats to be expected and only lasts for a short time. The area looked a bit rough when we were travelling there from O'Hare airport but don't let that put you off it was safe and friendly and an excellent base to explore. The beach was a 20 minute walk away, Downtown and The Loop was a 10 minute cab ride. Wrigley Field (Baseball) was 5 minutes up the road. The number 22 bus stopped right outside the building but we never used the buses as it was cheaper and more convenient to get a cab and every time we stepped out the front door a cab came past. It was $18 - $20 cab fare to the city. We visited Lincoln park zoo which is free but you have to pay $20 to park your car. We also ate out in andersonville which was a lot cheaper than eating in Downtown - the people are so friendly. The only thing that spoilt our time in Chicago was the driving, getting used to turning right when a red light is on and getting beeped at by every driver!! and getting lost! But all in all had a great holiday would definately recommend Chicago and these apartments. One note - be prepared to wait 1 - 2 hours when going through passport control on arrival!

Great 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Very spacious, quiet (our apt. was in the back of the building) and squeeky clean. Modern amenities, well appointed (everything you could think of was in our kitchen) and a safe secure garage for our car. In a typical Chicago neighborhood so a great place to stay if you are looking to experience life in the city outside the tourist loop. The view off our back deck showed how diverse the andersonville neighborhood is but this is what living in a city is all about.

We stayed here 2 weeks in early July. We were part of a large group of 7 families who adopted daughters from China 17 years ago. We get together every other summer in various cities throughout the us. These condos were absolutely wonderful. They are large and spacious, nicely decorated. We loved the condo's layout. We shared the condo with another family and never felt crowded. We were easily able to host all of the families for dinner in our condo.
The location is great with easy access to the buses and the subway. Great restaurants and bakeries are within walking distance. The owners are just terrific. They are always available to answer questions about recommending local restaurants, shops. I mailed gifts for the girls in advance of our arrival date and they graciously delivered the boxes to our apt on the day we arrived! We liked the building security and our girls were able to safely go between apts. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Chicago. Thanks, Simona and Dave for a memorable and terrific stay! -

In Chicago for a 4day Wedding weekend,[parents of the Groom],family members with children, in from Boston, we decided early on to forego the space limitations and expense of a Hotel. These Condos met all of our needs, and exceeded our expectations in every way. It was an amazingly simple, straightforward process to procure our reservation, and while you never see the owners, they are always available...very nice! With Bus and Taxi available out front, 'round the clock, getting anywhere in the city is a snap. When there are kids involved, all that space is priceless. Our stay there was a big part of helping make our celebration Perfect.

Dear Rafael,
Thank you for your review. Please note that we strive to ensure that each guest has a memorable and enjoyable stay. We also take proactive measures to ensure that guests are respectful of others and keep noise levels to a minimum - this is reflected in the strict terms of our lease agreement. Further, we provide every guest with two contact numbers in case there are any issues during a guest's stay. If there is an issue, our staff are required to respond immediately.
When you notified us about the children running around in the upstairs unit, one of our staff members expressed his sincere apologies to you and then personally contacted the guests staying above you. He asked them to refrain the children from running around and to minimize the noise levels. The guests responded that they would comply. After doing this, we did not hear any further complaints about noise levels.
We sincerely appreciate you staying with us and regret that the guests staying above you were not more respectful. It is of the utmost importance to us that our guests truly enjoy their stay.
If you would like to stay with us in the future, please request a top floor unit and we will do everything to accommodate you. Again, thank you for your patronage.
Kind regards,
Simona Krug

A sisters getaway in Chicago for four days while my daughter moved to Lakeview. This worked really well for us rather than staying in hotel. Apt was clean and well equipped and close enough to the el. Only complaint was no blender...

Having originally sourced the andersonville Guest House from trip advisor, I decided to make enquiries and proceed with our booking, and I am very glad that I did. We were placed in 3N, and the service received was fantastic even prior to our arrival with prompt replies to all questions and concerns and recommendations of local attractions/ restaurants. Instructions for entry into the condo were clear and easy to follow, and we utilized the key lock-box every day. The three bedrooms generously accommodated all 6 of us, 3 couples, and the condo obtained everything that we needed and more. Bedrooms are spacious and very large compared to UK standards, and be prepared for everyone in your group to line-up for the master bath shower/ steam room. We had one BBQ out on the patio, albeit the weather was not that great but it was a great feature to utilize.
The condo has a secure garage, which is fantastic, however we were upgraded upon renting our car to a Chevy Suburban and it was about 2ft too long to fit in the garage. David was very helpful in providing us with secure parking in the allocated lot next door, which saved us tons on the parking meters. Having said that the condo is in a fantastic location for public transport, about 10 minutes walk from the Lawrence El’ station, and there are some great bars in andersonville. Definitely check out Hamburger Mary’s for dinner & M. Henry’s for Breakfast.
My only complaint during our stay would be with regards to the noisy people downstairs, who were throwing a bachelor’s party for 4 consecutive nights in a row. Since the condo has surround sound speakers built into the ceiling, the bass from the music was keeping us awake despite the music not being very loud. We did go down many times to ask them to turn it down, however we eventually had to contact David for some assistance of which he was very prompt at resolving the issue.
Despite the rain and unseasonably cold weather during our trip, we had a fantastic time. I will definitely consider booking this rental property again upon my next visit just for the level of service received alone, and additionally having a beautiful and centrally located property in a quiet neighborhood was just the icing on the cake.
Thanks for a making us feel so welcome and making vacation one to remember for years to come.

We just can't say enough good things about the unit we stayed in. Our unit was tastefully decorated and very clean. It was also very spacious and yet cozy. It was perfect for our mom's weekend. There were plenty of good spas, shopping and restraurants in the area. The location was perfect. I would highly recommend it.

I enjoyed a fantastic weekend in the City with girlfriends in this condo. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo was incredibly clean, modern, great kitchen & baths. Plenty of space for groups of people, large families, 3 couples, etc. Comfortable, very open living space with a cozy fireplace that opens to kitchen and a good size balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals in, but the neighborhood had tons of great restaurants, too. It's a 15 minute or so cab ride to downtown Chicago. I highly recommend this condo - no complaints at all, just a great space.
