Lowell
Bloomington, INAwesome time in Chicago
Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in June 2012
I stayed here with my six-year-old son and two brothers last summer to catch a Cubs game and the Chicago sites and it couldn't have been better. Donna was incredibly helpful and considerate, the apartment was clean and nicely furnished, and in an excellent location.
I plan on staying here for any future trips to Chicago, as it was just about perfect. And cheaper than if we had gotten two hotel rooms to house us! -

Orlando, FloridaThe perfect home away from home!

We absolutely loved our stay in Wrigleyville and Donna is a fantastic hostess.
The apartment was perfect for my husband and I along with our two teenagers and the neighborhood is very inviting.
We were able to take in all of the regular tourist faves, museums, Cubs game, Willis Tower, the zoo and even the beach were all accessible via public transportation and neighbors in the area were most helpful in directing us to the local ice cream shop (actually yummy gelatto). The neighborhood was a buzz with families enjoying the summer evenings and we joined them chasing fireflies and cheering at a local kick ball game at a park not far away!
Grocery (trader joe's) is just a few blocks away and there are tons of yummy restaurant choices within walking distance.
We will most definitely be back and we are referring everyone we know! -

60859Perfect place to stay for a Chicago trip
Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We booked this apartment for an extended weekend to do some Chicago tourism. It was an ideal place to stay -- closer enough to the CTa stop, and downtown, to make getting around easy, but located in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood far enough away from hotels and tourist restaurants to make it a good escape at the end of the day. Plenty of restaurants and cafes are within walking distance, and Trader Joe's is close enough to make cooking light meals in the apartment not a big deal. We didn't have a problem finding a parking spot in front of the apartment.
Donna, the property manager, is great. She was very helpful and friendly, and went out of her way to make sure we got settled in comfortably and had everything we needed. The apartment itself was clean and well-stocked, and everything was in working order. (But you should bring your own movies and reading material.)
For the price (about the same as budget hotel downtown), this apartment is an excellent value. We'll definitely stay here again.Response from ZenEstate, LLC - 01/14/2012

Thanks very much for such a positive review. In response to the suggestions about books and movies, I have ComCast, the local cable provider, which has hundreds of choices from the newest releases to classics through pay per view and free movie channels. I have the last couple months worth of Chicago and national magazines and a full bookcase. I will be checking with the family to see what specific magazines or books they think would be nice to have.

This was a great home base for our Chicago sightseeing trip. It was just a few blocks to the el train that would take you downtown in about 20-30 minutes. The apartment had everything you would need to feel at home and Donna, the manager, could not have been nicer or more helpful and available for us . ( Thanks Donna !) There is parking available either on the street or there is limited garage parking . The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. We walked at all different times of the day and night and never felt unsafe !
Overall I was most pleased and hope this place is available the next time we trek to Chicago ! -

Faulkner, MarylandGreat neighborhood, great apartment

What a great place to stay. This was our first visit to Chicago. When we come back, I hope this unit is still available. My cousin and his family stayed across the hall in the Wrigley Loft unit. After a long day sightseeing, it was nice that we have enough room for all of us (9 people) to come back, be able to hang out in Wrigley Retreat and discuss our day and discuss plans for the next day before they (4 of them) went to there unit for the night. Both units were very clean, in a great neighborhood. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the "L", which was only 20-30 minutes downtown to the loop from there. There were also plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. It amazed me that almost everyone we met in the neighborhood would stop to chat and ask about our visit.
Donna, our hostess was so easy to deal with. She answered all our emails quickly, provided a lot of helpful information, was truly worried about our comfort during our stay and even arranged for a taxi to Union Station on our last day. Would recommend to all my friends.
