Originally we booked another house which became unavailable just a few days before our arrival... Despite the inconvenience, we were relocated (and upgraded)to casa Larc promptly. Dealing with the agency was easy and the answers were fast. The gardener, Cesar, is an absolutely wonderful person who will do everything to help you out, yet he is very discreet (he speaks only Spanish but is trying to learn English). Everything worked in the house. It is very minimally furnished though! Yet nothing is missing for a pleasant stay. One thing to mention is that you don't really see the sea from the ground floor, due to the height of the mangrove between the house and the shore. It is however a nice natural environnement. As far as the payment, there was no surprise or extra cost. The seashore in the winter is quite filled with seagrass during northerly winds. It's "joggable" with running shoes. Finally, Progreso is a typical Mexican town, not very colonial but very authentic, colorful and fun, and its Malecon is very pleasant. Chixchulub is a laid-back pueblo. Last thing, you need a car: the collectivo doesn't make it all the way to km 20 (where the house is located), Chixchulub is 13kms away and taxis are rare. It was a very confortable family stay.
