Description from the owner
The Applehouse cabin is located in Bat Cave and 2 miles from Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure. The cabin is riverfront,fully equipped with central a/c, and has a deck on the riverside with full access to the river for fishing, swimming and tubing. The river is stocked weekly by the State of NC Hatchery Dept from April- September . We are centrally located for you to go out and enjoy a a day of white water rafting, horseback riding, rock climbing at Chimney Rock Park, hiking and golfing. We are 15 miles from The Biltmore House in Asheville. Easy access with privacy, but you are not secluded. Restaurants and shopping are only 2-3 miles away

Upon arrival we were cheerfully greeted and welcomed. This adorably decorated cabin with all the comforts of home sits on the bank of a pristine river. The rushing of the water was so comforting to the soul.The quaint town of Chimney Rock and beautiful Lake Lure are just a few local attractions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and definitely will return without hesitation.

An absolutely wonderful stay. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Beautiful scenery! Being on the river was gorgeous. What a way to have your morning coffee! I would absolutely come back and recommend to everyone I know. If there was anything I would change, it would only be to have more counter space in the kitchen. I love to cook and that was the only downside. And even with that, I didn't mind it too much.

Restful and relaxing you can't beat the location. Have been coming back for over 10 years. The river is perfect. You can do as little or as much as want. You can fish out the back door. Close to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and asheville for shopping to keep the wife happy.

The river makes a wonderful sound at night that creates a soothing atmosphere within the cabin and on the deck. Its a great place to convert stress to a willful likeness of nature.

The Pyles were Great to work with reserving the cabin.
Ken gave us tips on places to eat, rafting and shopping, what more could you want. The parking is a little hairy, other than that, a wonderful experience all around!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River View Cabins. The apple House is so charming and wonderfully appointed. Everything we needed was provided and the property is so clean and well maintained. The sound of the river was so peaceful. I loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the river and relaxing. River View Cabins are also conveniently located in Western North Carolina. Everything you want to visit is nearby, Chimney Rock, Black Mountain, Bat Cave and all that asheville has to offer. We will definitetly be visiting River View Cabins again!
