Whether making plans for an intimate getaway for two or a fun filled family vacation our mini townhouse apartment is the perfect choice for you. It is available for you to walk in for a night or stay for awhile. Offering all the comforts of home, you will find two separate bedrooms each with a comfortable queen bed, extra sleeping in the living room area ( futon opens to double or daybed with a trundle for two twins), 1.5 baths, and the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen. We are just 1/4th mile from the bridge to Assateague Island, Virgina which is a National Park and Wildlife Refuge. There is nothing commercial there making our Atlantic Ocean beach naturally beautiful. There are several eateries and shops within walking distance of Dove Winds including a bike rental shop so that you can easily rent a bike and bike to the beach or take one of the biking nature trails close by. We also have a bike rack located on our property if you'd like to bring your own bikes.

If looking for a fancy high end place this is not it. If you want a clean, welcoming place with many practical amenities this is it. Location only quarter a mile to Wildlife Refuge at asseateague along a bicycle path. Has full refrigerator, stove with 4 burners, outdoor use of charcoal grills, indoor pool with jacuzzi. There is a bicycle rack in the back if you choose to bring your own.The mini-townhouse has 2 floors for some private space. Staff is welcoming, courteous and helpful for any of your needs. For example they supplied crab mallets. We have been going to this location for several years and have seen improvements invested into the property such as a bathroom installed at the pool, a new jacuzzi this year, parking lot in front improved.

We had a great time in this establishment. Dove Winds was the cleanest townhome, with extra friendly owners. The pool and hot tub were mineral and very clean. We plan to stay here every year, we loved it!

We have stayed at Dove Winds 2-3 times a year for the last 16 years. This visit was just as relaxing and enjoyable as our previous visits. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. The property is always well-maintained. The indoor pool is great, especially during the summer months, when it is too hot to go to the beach or on rainy days. Even though this is off-season, the staff was always available to help. In spite of being next to a busy street, the condo was very quiet. We love the easy access to the beach and wildlife refuge. This price is very good, considering each condo has two bedrooms and a bath and half. We highly recommend Dove Winds -- it's a home away from home -- much better than a hotel!

My family had another wonderful stay at the Daisey's dove winds rentals in Chincoteaque Va this summer! We've stayed there for several decades now, and have never been let down. Tom and Maryann are always attentive and gracious to our needs and go the extra mile to make our stay restful and enjoyable! We highly recommend the dove winds!

We have stayed at Dove Winds, many times over the years. It is always a pleasure! We never have had a single complaint, other than not being able to make a reservation due to them already being booked. It's the perfect place to stay with kids, teenagers, etc... They are constantly renovating something. It really is a great place to stay!

We were travelling with 2 teenagers and being able to have them in a separate bedroom was fantastic for both them and us! Dovewinds also has an indoor pool which they enjoyed. It was quiet and on the side of Chincoteague near the beach. The Daisey's were very helpful with places to eat, activities and history of the Islands. They also run the Daisey Dockside Cruises, which were excellent.
