Originally a mill, this distinctive property has been converted into a charming duplex apartment. It has been decorated in modern style and, with three bedrooms, offers enough space for up to six people. Millside Chase is a duplex apartment in a mill conversion set on the Whiteadder Water, 2 miles from Chirnside village in the Scottish borders. With three second floor bedrooms, this cottage can sleep six people whilst the rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen, dining area, sitting area & doors to a small balcony which looks over the Whiteadder Water and there are communal grounds along its banks, from which you can enjoy a glass... of wine on a hazy summer’s evening. A garage is provided for up to 2 cars and there are local amenities just 2 miles away.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The village of Chirnside lies on the south side of a hill in the Scottish borders, with stunning views over a flat, fertile, agricultural plain, known as the ‘Merse’. The Merse stretches to the Cheviot Hills in the south, whilst the Eildon hills are to the south-east, with the Lammermuir hills to the north. Chirnside takes its name from the Cairn which stood on the hill at the east end of the village, which is though to have been the burial place of some ancient chieftain of the Beaker people. At the foot of the hill is a Norman church, which still possesses its original doorway. The Ninewells dovecote is very close to the church. Chirnside’s most famous son is, undoubtedly, Jim Clark of Edington Mains. He brought fame to the village as World Champion Motor Racing Drive and is buried in the churchyard. A clock to his memory stands at the Crosshill. Nearby attractions include Berwick, which offers excellent shopping, fantastic fishing and great golfing opportunities. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  A delightful property.We could not have chosen a lovlier setting for our holiday. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. One problem did arise, we could not locate a shaving power point so a travellers 3pin power point is essential. Chris and Margaret Smith.

  It was a great place to stay, both with the furnishings and layout of the accommodation, and with the general area. Our children could wander freely down by the river in a safe and interesting environment. The only downside was the lack of hot water for a bath.
