Located in Chocolate Hole, with a Southern view of the Caribbean Sea, POI PU is ideal for the family or couples traveling together. The secluded location surrounded by beautiful tropical flower gardens lets you enjoy a very private vacation. POI PU is located just 5 minutes from the town of Cruz Bay and its eclectic choices for duty free shopping and fine dining. Another 10-15 minutes will take you to the world famous beaches on the north shore within the VI National Park.

Upon entering the villa you will be taken with the open architecture of the great room, dining area with seating for four and full kitchen with all of the features an...d amenities for preparing snacks to full meals. The breakfast counter provides an area for socializing with the cook while meals are prepared. The double doors off the inside dining area open to the side deck where you will find another table for alfresco dining for six while overlooking the gazebo and pool. The gas BBQ grill is located close by for preparing burgers and hot dogs to steaks and seafood.

Opening the three double doors around the perimeter of the villa will virtually double the entire living space with the addition of the wrap around decks with lounge chairs and casual seating. The open beam ceilings with elegant ceiling fans will insure that the cooling tropical trade wind breezes are circulated throughout the villa. With the perimeter doors open you will enjoy the commanding views of Chocolate Hole and the Caribbean Sea from the inner comfort of the villa.

The family room offers a flat screen television with Cable TV and DVD Player and an audio sound system providing casual entertainment in a relaxing environment. The comfortable couch converts to a queen sleeper sofa for accommodations for 7-8 guests.

There are two air conditioned bedrooms with queen beds located on the main level. The beds are each cloaked with elegant mosquito netting and feature ceiling fans over the beds. Each bedroom has an adjacent half bath and share a large and impressive native stone shower with dual shower heads.   We went in June for our Honeymoon, the house and owners are great! The property management company was awesome and we had a fantastic time! If you're looking for the huge resort feeling then stay at a resort. This is an island villa with privacy and space to spread out. Location is close enough to run in/out of Cruz Bay, the turn to get on the street is sharp but I made Bobby drive. :-) The walls are designed with rock and shells built into the concrete throughout as well as in the open air shower. The pool was much more than we expected and loved it. They have coolers and chairs you can use to take to the beach, these come in very handy. There are lots of lizards around the property which we enjoyed watching and the birds flying around as we relaxed on the deck or in the pool. Both bedrooms downstairs have a/c so we did use this at night in our room. We didn't use the washer and dryer but they're under the deck and just walking down there we got attacked by no-see-ums. But this would depend on the time of year you go but that would be the only factor that we would say was tough for us. The bugs were really bad at dusk and night during our stay and it was a wetter June then usual so at night we couldn't open two of the big doors or the front door because they were so bad. When Jackie & Jeff get the final screens installed then there would be no complaints. We loved the property and would stay there again.   Our family of 5 stayed for a week at Poi Pu. It's a very comfortable place with great views. The home is a bit dated but it has everything you need. The "pool" was nice, although very small. It felt great to Jump in after a long day. There are 2 main bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. There is also one double in a loft area above the kitchen, I am not sure how the house is supposed to sleep 8. We loved the coolers and beach chairs which were left for us and came in very handy. You need to drive to the good beaches, and most have no services so we would pack our lunch, drinks, chairs and everything we wanted and head out for the day. Chocolate hole is nice, we walked down to it, we did not want to swim there. The good beaches are along the North of the Island. We visited a different beach every day. Our favorite was Waterlemon key, a 1/4 mile walk from where you have to park but well worth the trip. Downtown is only a 5 minute drive, which makes it a convenient location for shopping, eating and drinking.

  We had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at Poi Pu in St. John. It was very comfortable and spacious for all six of us staying there. We enjoyed the pool in the back yard on those warm nights and loved sitting on the deck and watching the cruise ships sail by in the distance overlooking the ocean. It was a great experience. I would definitely go back again.

  The villa is wide open, very spacious. Open the big doors and you let the cool breezes in. There are always breezes at Poi Pu. It's great to have your own pool right there, even if you have spent the day at the beach. It's close to town for shopping and dinning, but there is nothing like dinning right there on the deck with the breezes and all those stars. I will be going back it's just the best place to be with friends. Carol

  We had an excellent stay at Pui Pu. The house is a nice short distance outside of Cruz Bay to keep things calm and quiet but not too far to drive into town for the nightlife and shopping. The best part of the house is the openness of the house. Open up the 3 sets of French doors and you get are beautiful view of chocolate hole and a cool morning breeze. Being on the southern side of the island you get a pretty steady breeze to keep things cool for the morning/evening. Don’t kid yourself, during the day there is nowhere that’s cool, unless you are either in the pool or in the ocean. You could hide away in one of the 2 A/C bedrooms, but then there is no point in going to the USVI. We really enjoyed our stay with a great group of friends and look forward to going back in the near future.
