We really enjoyed our two day stay at Miner`s arms. From the moment we arrived our hostess Lorna made us feel welcomed and at home. The accommodation was very spacious, clean and catered for all your needs. The farm animals were an added bonus and we were able to feed the alpacas and sheep which was a lovely touch.Nothing was too much trouble for Lorna to arrange or prepare for us which made us feel very much at home.We would certainly recommend Miner`s arms as an enjoyable stay on your travels.

My husband and I spent the New Year's eve on Miner's arm Farmstay. The rooms we stayed in are lovely and come with a nice view. The mini kitchen was equipped with a small fridge, a microwave and a small toaster oven which can be quite handy. Lorna was very approachable and knowledgeable about New Zealand's culture and historical background. We learned quite a bit by just talking to her over breakfast. We also enjoyed feeding the sheep and the alpacas, and we loved having the 3 dogs around the farm. The breakfast was scrumptious and there were plenty of options to choose from. What sets this apart from the other B&Bs; in my opinion was how organized everything was. Lorna had a sheet for us to fill out to indicate our breakfast preferences and she also had 2 folders containing information about the farm and also the restaurants close by. The next time we are back to New Zealand, I'm definitely staying here again.

Our long time favourite Canterbury stop-over on a trip south from Nelson. Lorna is such a cordial hostess and her sumptuous cooked breakfast enjoyed in that sun-drenched kitchen is memorable and magnetic! The surrounds are a treat for animal lovers. Vodafone reception doubtful, if you need an excuse to leave it off. :)

Our stay at Miners arms was very enjoyable. Lorna was great with my children (aged 6 & 8) and showed us around her lovely property. The girls loved the alpaca's. The rooms were warm and cosy and beds very comfortable. We found the location to be perfect for our stay.

An excellent start to our holiday in a peaceful location. The accomodation was of a high standard and very comfortable. We were welcomed with hot drinks and biscuits on arrival which was much appreciated. Breakfast was friendly and informal and delicious with fresh fruit served as well as home made jams. The farm was delightful and we enjoyed being introduced to all the animals. We would definately reccommend a stay here.
