Superbly Appointed Cottages
All cottages have natural slate flagstones throughout ground floors while the upper floors all have solid oak flooring. All doors and window frames are attractive solid timber and many windows have deep window seats and most look out over fields and farmlands.
Under floor heating and hot water is provided by a ‘ground source heat pump’, an eco friendly “green” system. Waste water is cleansed and disposed of through a special water treatment plant.
Each cottage has a working fire and bags of wood can be purchased locally.
Internet access is also available for a small charge on a weekly, daily or hourly basis.
Note: Riverside Cottage has a double connecting door opening into its neighbouring cottage, The Smithy, so that they may be booked together for larger groups. These doors will be securely locked if not requested.
For larger groups, all of the Park Mill Farm Cottages can be booked together to sleep 18.
Exmoor has long been recognised as having dark night skies, a valued attribute of the rural character and tranquillity of the area. Exmoor National Park has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first place in Europe to achieve this prestigious award and only the second in the world. On a clear night, the night sky of Exmoor is simply stunning when many astronomical sights can be seen through the naked eye and even more can be discovered through a telescope or binoculars.
