On a weekend away with friends, this made a wonderful weekend. Sitting in the lounge with a glass of mulled wine watching the sun set was one of my favorite memories. Such a lovely location and a beautiful home. The designer furniture is a great feature, I couldn't rate it more highly.

Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I would highly recommend this lodge for any large families/groups of friends looking to stay in this area. The lodge represents great value and the accommodation is flexible to provide sleeping for up to 10. 9 of us stayed in the cottage for the weekend comfortably.
The lodge is set on a beautiful, peaceful lake with private access. The decked area and private jetty are great additions you don't always get with some of the lodges on other lakes in this area.
The lodge itself is furnished to a really high standard with most home comforts you can think of and more.
There's plenty to do in the area - we visited the Wild Duck Inn pub, the Cotswold Forest School and Spa6 at the Four Pillars Hotel (which Carly can get you discounted passes for).
Carly was really helpful throughout the process of booking. The only slight issue was a hiccup in collecting the key upon arrival due to the key safe being broken, but Carly sorted that quickly. I'd definitely recommend getting that fixed asap to ensure a smooth check in for future guests.
In summary, we loved our stay here (and would quite happily have moved in for good!). I would definitely stay in the lodge again and will be recommending it to friends and family.
Thanks for all your help Carly. -

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in May 2011
We're a group of friends and we stayed for a weekend with our kids aged 2-6. We had a great time. Although part of a development (there are neighbours) there is great privacy. The house is stunning, beautifully furnished and is airy and light. It was super easy to organise and Carly was contactable and quick to return emails. The kids loved the trout farm in Bibury which is a pretty 20 minute drive - if you are not squeamish then you can catch your own fish, gut and scale it and BBQ it on site! Butts farm nearby was great too and they actually milked a goat! Great place for a short break just 1.5 hours from W.London but a world away.

Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The house was lovely, very tastefully decorated and yet still sturdy enough for young families! My sons loved playing with all the toys, feeding the swans and making dens in the loft room. The area was beautiful and although it was a bit cold to try out all the watersports on offer we loved it so much we will definitely come back in the summer!
Carly was very helpful and replied to texts and emails really quickly. There was lots to do when the weather wasn't so great - we visited the soft play area and the zoo which were great fun for the kids.
If I had to suggest any improvements, then a 'corner shop' would be nice and maybe a coat of paint on the outside. But otherwise 'perfect'!Response from Carly Madhvani - 04/23/2012
Owner
Hi jackie,
I am glad you had a good time.
I totally agree with your suggestions. I am currently having quotes for the outside painting work.
You're right... a closer corner shop would be useful. For the forgotten wine or milk I pop to the lakeside Brasserie, there is a Londis in the village (5 min drive) open til 8 and with Waitrose and Tesco's delivering I call upon their next or same day service. When it's raining though a little corner place a quick walking distance for the paper would be very welcomed!
I currently have 10 day slot left in the summer from July 23rd to August 3rd so if you're interested pop me a mail.
Thank you so much for staying. Best wishes, Carly :0) -

Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Our party of 10 (6 adults plus 4 children) had a wonderful weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. Booking was so simple. Carly was the perfect host handling our booking from start to finish ensuring it was a pleasurable and carefree experience.
The Lodge! what can I say? It was perfect in every way - comfortable and clean, well equipped and excellently furnished. It catered for our every need. The location was excellent too - tranquil setting with its own jetty that was perfect for fishing or just lazing in the sun. Ducks, Swans and Geese were regular visitors to the jetty. These along with fishing for crayfish entertained the children, and adults!. The option of more lively lakes, pub/restaurants and activities are within easy walking distance.
A fabulous place to stay.
Thank you Carly. We'll definitely be booking your wonderful lodge again in the future.

Alford, LincolnshireIts all about the location.
Left on 10/30/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The location of the lodge is perfect. The lodge is directly on the water of the Landings Lake of the Cotswolds Water Park, with its own jetty extending into the lake. However it is perfectly safe as the Jetty is only accessible through a lockable gate.
The Lodge has 2 double bedrooms with ensuites (one with a small bath) on the 2nd floor and a bunkbed room - with the secret den leading to the top of the lodge. This den room could have great potential if it had a tv or games in it, which could then be a separate entertaining area. There is a 4th bedroom with a single bed (which extends to a double) next to the family shower room on the ground floor. All the bedding is comfortable and the rooms large and welcoming.
The rear of the house is open plan with kitchen & dining room looking over the large living room, which in turn overlooks the large glass windows & french doors giving perfect views over the lake. The dining room features a large designer table with enough seating for 8. The living room has an L shaped sofa - which i think would struggle to seat 8 adults comfortably - but was more than adequate for the 5 of us. The living room houses the tv with Sky, dvd player, wii & PS3. This is the only TV in the house and if you have a house full of mix of kids and adults I can imagine tensions running high by the end of the week.
When we arrived the heating had been set to warm the house for us & the owner, Carly, had left a tray of coffees, milks etc so we could have a quick cuppa before going to Tesco's in nearby Cirencester - some 4.5 miles away. There is a local shop & 3 pubs in nearby South Cerney. We ate at the Eliott arms on 3 occasions and the food was reasonable in both quality & price.
We ranged from a 7 year old to a 70 year old & we all enjoyed the lodge & would recommend it as a retreat by the lake. I would imagine that during the summer months the outside space would appeal to the majority.Response from Carly Madhvani - 11/02/2011
Owner
HI Nikii, thank you for this very informative review. Your right - there should/could be anoterh TV in the lodge and the den is the perfect place for it. I intend to install one in November.

Let me start by saying that the cotswold lodge is an amazing place to stay if you are planning to take a trip to the Cotswolds then i would highly recommend this place. I stayed with a group of friends 6 adults and 3 kids aged 3 and under. The owner has put a lot thought into the design of the lodge which gives it the luxery 5* and home like feel. If you are travelling with kids then the lodge has been equiped with all the necessities you can think of which is an added bonus. The location is perfect to all the nearby attractions and places to visit. What made the trip extra special was the personal service received by the owner of the Lodge which made our stay at the Lodge very comfortable and perfect.

A fantastic weekend away for a group of deserved mums. Absolutely stunning property and setting. Even though we were quite a large group the cleverly designed zoned interior offered lots of space and areas to relax. We could unwind on the a fabulous decked outside space taking in the beautiful views of the lake, or lounge inside taking advantage of the lovely furniture, wii and TV/music system. The area offered lots to do, lovely walks to fantastic pubs, the vintage tea rooms; and lakeside brasserie which is extremely close which had a really nice atmosphere and great 'pub' type food, perfect for a group! Even though the lodge catered perfect for our weekend, I am confident that we will be back with our families in the near future as it is fully equipped for children too!

Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Just returned from a fabulous 4 day break at 10 The Landings.
We came upon the website by chance and thought it looked amazing, and was thrilled to find it was even more amazing in real life!
The view was absolutely stunning, we loved spending the days playing with our little boy on the decking area whilst watching all the swans and ducks swim past. We even ventured out onto the jetty to try and catch some fish with the nets provided. And when he went to bed, we wrapped up and enjoyed a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset - absolute bliss.
Inside the lodge is beautifully equipped. Everything is done to the highest specification, from the small details to the gorgeous Knoll chairs and amazing sound system there has been no expense spared.
The lodge is amazingly equipped for babies. There was a steriliser, blender, travel cot etc. In fact our little boy slept from 7-7:30 every day, something we have been trying to get him to do for months at home!
The owner Carly was so accommodating and helpful, an absolute pleasure to deal with. Cant wait to return in the summer when we can make the most of the BBQ!

Burton upon TrentLakeside retreat, excellent base for group holiday in cotwsolds
Left on 03/16/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We were looking for a 4 - 5 bedroom holiday cottage for a belated Christmas gathering with 2 other families, and found 10 The Landings. 10 The Landings was head and shoulders above all the other options we found, and offered stays from 2 nights (all other large houses were min 1 week).
It's unusual because it's built in a New England style white clapboardand. But is warm (double glazed and central heating) modern and is luxuriously and thoughtfully furnished, like a genuine home from home (much over used description but genuinely earned here). The lodge is set on a small development (40 lodges) on Cotswolds Lakes. To give an idea the adjoining lodge was for sale at ?525,000 - this is an gorgeous holiday lodge on a relatively exclusive development.
It has the most comfortable beds, great lounge to relax and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun go down over the lake. Would love to visit in summer and enjoy a BBQ on the decking which directly backs on to the lage and pontoon. The lake has sailing and canoeing on and can be accessed from the property.
There are great walks and exporing to be had around neighbouring lakes and waterways, and on the door step of the Cotswolds (I grew up round here so am naturally bias - but a great part of the country to explore). We got our food delivered by home delivery when we arrived there are two large fridges and freezers and the kitchen has dishwasher and oven / microwave and even a small table and chairs and some toys for kids. Take bikes if you can lots to expore.
Without hesitation I would recommend 10 The Landings, it is unlike many other holiday accommodations available and is furnished to an unbelievably high standard (enjoy sitting on the Ercol Barcelona chair (?4,500!) and foot stall a mere (?2,500) wathcing the sun go down).
Go on - book it - the scores of reviews on tripadvisor (all positve) cannot be wrong, you'll have a great time. -

Left on 03/07/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Stayed at this beautiful lodge for two romantic nights with my husband in February. The property is stunning with lots of space in every room. With waitrose and tesco only a short drive away we were able to spend our evenings next to the fire with great wine and food looking out at the tranquil and picturesque view. I highly recommend this property to couples and families. We can not wait to take our children there and enjoy the country life. 10/10

LondonPhotos don't do it justice!!!
Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in December 2010
We are a group of couples - age range of 25-32, we stayed here for New Year (Dec 2010 - Jan 2011).
The lodge is wonderful, lovely design, clean, modern and new - I am always worried when I travel somewhere that the photos might be misleading but they don't do the place justice! The living area is far bigger than it looks on the website and accommodates 8 nicely.
It is based right next to the lake and you have neighbours but you don't feel overlooked as there are only lodges on one side of the lake so you can't see any the other side and lodges are staggered to ensure privacy.
Surrounding area seems ok - we didn't go to the complex or pool etc., however one day we walked to South Cerney village to the pub - about a 15 min walk. To be honest we didn't explore as we were perfectly happy in the lodge!
I would definitely recommend the lodge, I can imagine it would be very good in the summer as well given the outside decking.

I stayed for a long weekend with a few friends and this is one of the nicest weekend breaks I have had in a long while.
The house and furnishings were fantastic. Everything we needed was there and the view across the lake from the living room was magnificent. In fact, we loved it so much, we found it very difficult to leave! -

Left on 01/06/2011 for a stay in November 2010
The house gave me a feeling of space and the stresses of everyday life soon left my head and disappeared over the beautiful lake to which I had become accustomed to viewing through the glass double doors.
All the facilities were top notch and I would definately go back next year. -

LondonFamily Christmas vacation
Left on 01/04/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Initial contact and follow up with Carly was very friendly and very helpful in ensuring everything was in place for an extended family christmas vacation and celebrations. It was also helpful being able to contact her during the stay to clarify things around the house.
Arrival and picking up the keys from security was very simple and there was plenty of parking spaces outside the house to use.
Inside everything is as described. Very high standard of fittings and large enough space for 7 adults and 3 children to sit, play, cook and eat without getting under each others feet and plenty of space for people to go and find quiet time if they wished. And this without being able to use the decking due to the snow and cold weather!!!
There were also a number of helpful books and instructions on how to use everything in the house.
The surrounding area is lovely for either riding or walking and exploring the various bridal ways and walks and the view from the lounge overlooking the lakes is very pretty.
All in all this was a much better than expected holiday and the lodge made a large contribution to that, and everyone has already started talking about repeating the experience again next year!!! -

A luxurious holiday home, well proportioned, beautifully furnished and placed in picturesque surroundings. Enjoyed the tennis, boating on the lake and a lovely run around the surrounding area. An evening out in Cheltenham was also a blast!

The accommodation is fantastic. Apart from the amazing view of the lake it is clean, comfortable and very well equipped with wonderful furniture.
Finally, the location of the lodge couldn't have been better. Nearby are some great facilities like the spa, gym and beautiful picturesque village. -

This is a great house to stay in. Sadly we were only there for the weekend but would've loved to stay longer. The house has everything you could possibly need and some very stylish furniture. Its set right on a lake so you can walk straight out of the door and dive in. Lots of activities going on in the surrounding areas if you want that or you can just chill at the house. Hope to go again!

Bath2 family stay
Left on 11/02/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We loved our time at The Landings. The downstairs is very open and so 2 families comfortably cooked, ate and played together. Was great to be in the same area as the kids.
The view of the lake is lovely - we brought an inflatable canoe and so got out on the lake a few times which is so easy from the jetty. We enjoyed hopping on the bikes and going for cycle rides around the area and over to the brasserie (known as the 'nuts cafe' by our kids).
Upstairs was a little cramped at times. The main bedroom is lovely and very spacious but the bunk and second double is a little cosy, especially with 4 children trying to have a bath and get dressed!
There is a den on the top floor which we actually didn't use as the steps were far too dangerous for toddler/pre-school age children so we roped it off and the kids quickly forgot about it!
It's a lovely pad and we had a brilliant time. Would love to come back in the summer to really enjoy the lakeside decking and BBQ. -

The whole family were really pleased with the booking. Everything about the lodge was outstanding and the surroundings picturesque. The lodge was perfect, all features, furniture, decoration and welcome pack was very well thought through and detailed. And there's lots to see and do, we only wish we had a longer stay.
We have already thought about re-booking! -

We had a wonderful weekend here, the house is stunning! Everything was well thought out with easy to follow information on how to work all the Tv's etc. Great facilities, easy access to all the local sites and walking distance to a great gastro pub, which meant we could eat well and drink. I will be returning here again with the children next spring.
