Our Tangerine Dream vacation rental is part of a Family Friendly 7 Cottage Resort located on the quiet Cyprus Avenue behind the Chapel by the Sea Church on the Island of Clearwater Beach. These beautiful homes are landscaped together in a tropical garden, with 2 new heated pools, patio, and all surrounded by palm trees.
We are 2 minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Frenchys and Palm Pavilion have live music as the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico. This was our 2nd trip to the wonderful Clearwater Beach and the wonderful accomendations that you provide.
First time was in the Mango Tango, that was perfect for us two
2nd time, we stayed at The orange blossom, this time we where there with 2 children. even greater
I think it's enough to say that we came back a 2nd time, and now also planning our 3rd vacation here.
5 grade scale, 1 bad and 5 is almost 100% perfect

We had such a wonderful time during our stay at the Tangerine Dream that we can't wait to return.
The location is perfect. It's just far enough away from the beach to keep you away from the worst of the beach chaos, but close enough that the walk is a breeze.
The cottage is well-maintained and very clean. My only minor complaint is that they could use some new beach towels, but we made do just fine with the older beach towels and newer bath towels. There are plenty of dishes and cookware for your needs. The grills look old but work like a champ; they are well-seasoned.
The grounds in the backyard are lush and tropical. Each cottage has a patio area for outdoor eating. The pools are small, but a good family size. I was worried at first that with everyone in the complex sharing the pools there would be crowding, but that was never an issue. There are also plenty of beach and pool toys for use.
Teresa and Max are very organized and customer service oriented. Teresa was very responsive via email prior to our visit, and the check-in and out process was quite simple. We saw Max around during the week as well, keeping the cottages maintained.
I would highly recommend staying at the Tangerine Dream or any of the related rentals. -

With 2 kids under 5 years old, my husband, self, and mother in law staying for the week~ this space was perfect. It had everything we needed~ fully stocked kitchen & bathrooms. It was clean and tidy without being over bearing or flashy. It is located just 2 blocks to the beach and other shops. There is also a small playground close by if the 2 pools and beach were not enough to keep my kids busy. We also had the ability to do laundry and grill outside. The pool was perfect ~ not too hot, not too cold, and not reeking of chlorine. This place is cozy, clean and homely. The owners and manager were friendly and very accommodating. I hope to return one day soon!

We came with 4 little ones and had everything we needed plus! Washer and dryer in unit was a big help. The location to the beach and rec. center, and shopping was perfect for us. We could not have found a better place for our family needs. We did most of the activities on the recommended list and relaxed around the pool in the morning and afternoon while the kids played in the water. Thanks you for everything!

Pools were way too small ... more like a hot tub than a pool. Cottages were dated and after we checked prices at other places near by... felt like we could have had a much nicer place for less money

We spent 2 weeks in January 2013 at this beautiful property. We stayed in the key lime sweet and the unit looks exactly as it is shown on the website (what a nice surprise). It is very bright and clean and the grounds are beautiful. There are two heated pools and three Bbqs which was nice on those nights when we wanted to just kick back and relax with a drink while our steaks cooked instead of going out to a restaurant . Everything you could possibly need to make your vacation wonderful is provided, from beach towels to chairs and umbrellas. There is parking directly in front of the unit, free Wifi, free laundry facilities on site and they even provide free long distance calls to Canada...Max & Teresa have thought of everything. The beach is just 2 blocks away, there is a convenience store on the corner where you can get a decent bottle of wine and there are many restaurants and shops within a very short distance (we rented a car but really didn't need it). I can't say enough good things about this property...this place will be our first choice when we return to Clearwater Beach.
If you are in the Clearwater Beach area check out the Pavillion on Bay Esplanade. On Friday afternoons a fellow by the name of Greg West plays guitar on the patio and he is absolutely amazing. The Pavillion has live music every day but Greg was by far the best we heard (we were there most days at some point) -

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cyprus Rentals. The photos on line were exactly like we found it. The manager Teresa was very helpful and the extras were just like beig at home. Everything at the rental was like being in the comforts of your own home. A block and half walk from the beach was excellent and the kitchen and laundry facilities were an added bonus... Every thing that was available to go the beach was great. We already have reserved time to go back next year... Thanks for a great vacation and honey moon.

My wife and I have stayed at the Cyprus ave unit before. We are always impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Everything said, and the photos on the website are all very accurate. The beautiful beach is just a two block walk.
The location on Clearwater Beach is convenient to virtually anything we wanted to do. Restaurants and shopping are within easy walking distance. However, with two pools right there, you really don't have to go anywhere. -

The Tangerine Dream cottage fit the needs of our family of 5 very well. We loved having the washer and dryer in the unit for our use, the kitchen and linen closets were well stocked, and there was a ready supply of beach gear for our use. The kids loved having the pools in the back yard for down time while mom and dad were fixing a meal or just relaxing. The walk to the beach was a quick and easy one and it was great not to have to worry about parking and being able to just walk back to our rental for lunch mid-day. The walk to the pier and marina was a more significant one (the unit is on the opposite end of the "strip"), but was definitely do-able with my older kids.
My one concern with this property was the quality of the sofa bed. The mattress was thin and the bed lumpy and hard. My teenage son slept on it during our stay and didn't complain too loudly, but I doubt an adult would be able to handle more than a night or two on it. The other beds were very comfortable.
I would definitely consider staying here again or recommending to a friend. The unit is very nice and clean and the location is great. -

I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, then with a short walk be on Clearwater beach, at a restaurant, shopping. The beautiful weather was wonderful. The cottage a true retreat. I didn't want to leave.

Hands down, if you are seeking a spot to rest and relax, but still have easy access to Clearwater Beach, the Cyprus Avenue Beach Rentals are perfect!
We arrived at the cottage, and were greeted by the owner's.... and given a tour of our home for the week. It was spacious, immaculate, and had every imageinable thing we needed! No running around for bottle openers, etc. :-)
The pool area was very inviting early in the a.m. for that first cup of coffee, and the handy commercial grade grill served our needs well!
The only "tip".... for those of us attached to a computer... the wireless connection is "spotty" at best.... Not a problem if you intend to leave the computer at work.. and not take it on vacation.

That's what our trip was for us, a truly "Tangerine Escape"! I simple looking property in a sweet location but to walk inside, it becomes more than sweet...it's home sweet home! If I detailed everything we liked about our Clearwater Vacation, this would be a book. I'm big on CLEAN...could not have been cleaner! Beds comfy. Front sitting area, back patio with your own chairs and grill. Tired? Hot? Pool right beside the grill...pop in. I want to mention that the pool is not large but one I personally prefer...we had it all to ourselves but I'm sure that was due to the season...January. Loved it, none-the-less. We are "Palm Pavilion Addicts". This house is one block away from the Palm. Sunsets on the deck that are to die for and when that sun hits the sea...everyone claps and the live music begins...good/fun music! What could be better...oh maybe the walk on the delicious beach, just gorgeous. We were in the middle of every place I wanted to be...Tarpon Springs and the delish Greek food, Disney a skip away (we did just one day there...'nough), the beautiful coastal drives. My body is in Maine (burrrr) but my head is still in...Clearwater Beach at the "Tangerine Dream". Oh...and the owners, Teresa & Max are always attending the property and are so nice...it was great to see them and get to know them a bit. If you're going to the Tangerine Dream or any other "Dream" have a ball and a great rest too! Mary Nicholas

The Tangerine Cottage was just what I imagined - colorful Floridian; this property is a delightful remodel of what one imagines old Florida to have been, before all the tourism and neo-classical McMansions hit the sunshine state. Lots of room for two which would have been fine for four. All amenities were as described, with the exception of very spotty internet connection - that was a bit annoying, but, on the other hand, we were not there to spend our day on the internet. Also, it would be appropriate to have a screen door on the sliding glass door leading out to the luscious tropical garden, so that it could have kept open to take advantage of the draft. Close to beach, short walk; check out the local library just up the street. As with all rentals that have gas, my feeling is that there should be a carbon monoxide monitor...that would be an improvement, besides the screen door, we would suggest.

Resort ambience with privacy, minus the the resort $$$. We still talk about our stay in
the Tangerine Dream. The palm and banana tree shaded patio were beatiful and
relaxing, and the heated pools were wonderful! This, all within walking distance of
shops, restaurants and the pier made for a memorable vacation and we will be back
to our new favorite spot on the gulf. -

We had our own tropical garden within walking distance of Clearwater Beach and pier 60. The owners are very nice to deal with and try very hard to meet all of your needs. Nicely decorated appointments in the units. Some furniture could use upgrading. (We could see the owners upgrading bathrooms and other amenities.) A pleasant experience. We would like to go back.
