      Wonderful break away

Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Just returned from a great weekend away at The Cider House. Great place to relax and unwind. Property is wonderful and very cosy. The Live and Let Live Pub is around 10 - 15 minutes walk away and offers a beautiful Sunday Roast. Highly recommend The Spice Empire in Cleobury for an Indian meal.

      A lovely place to stay

Left on 12/29/2011 for a stay in December 2011

We've just returned from a weeks break in this cottage and would recommend it very much.
The cottage is situated in a beautiful valley with walks for miles just outside the door. It is very well equiped and lacks nothing. My only complaint would be that it is too warm, it took us a while to get the heating to the right temperature but I'm sure we would have apreciated that if it had been a normal cold December week.
The local pub, 'the live and let live' is a decent walk (about 25 minutes) but well worth a visit for the food and drinks. It only opens during certain hours so best to check before departing. There is virtually no phone signal in this cottage but there is a landline payphone in the lounge.

Modern home comforts in idyllic rural setting

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in October 2011

We spent a week here in October. The cottage was extremely comfortable and warm and the owner had thought of eveything you would need in the property - including a lovely home made cake on arrival which was a lovely touch. This clean and well maintained property has a nice little garden with garden furniture adjoining a field with a lovely friendly horse and a river running at the foot of that field. Total peace and plenty of opportunity for walks. Well located for touring the lovely countryside and lots of charming pubs within a few miles for eating out at night. Was sad to leave and hope to return soon.

Peaceful rural environment & lovely cottage

Left on 10/21/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Would recommend highly for couples and families with small children as secluded, quiet and a real 'get-away-from-it-all' location. Cottage is lovely, very well equipped with only a minor issue that the fridge is a little small. The surroundings are lovely; horses and sheep in fields, rolling countryside, a stream/river, a nearby cricket pitch. Would return tomorrow!

      A charming holiday barn

Left on 06/04/2010 for a stay in April 2010

This was one of the best places we had ever rented - first class accommodation set in wonderful scenery with fabulous trees just coming into flower, a meandering river, horses and friendly geese.

      Beautifully tranquil and cosy

Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in January 2010

We stayed at this cottage at the end of December 09 and had a lovely family break. Plenty of room for the kids - the kitchen was huge so the kids had plenty of room to play. The cottage is finished to a high standard and very homely. The setting of the cottage on a frosty winters day was very picturesque and its location is in easy reach of some lovely villages and towns. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly without ever intruding - it was good to know someone was next door if we needed any help with anything. Highly recommended.

      A wonderfuly peaceful country retreat

Left on 12/18/2009 for a stay in July 2009

This is the second year that we stayed at the Cider House, and, if anything, we enjoyed our holiday even more. The house and its surroundings are so quiet and beautiful, enough to long to return, which we hope so to do. The house has been wonderfully fashioned from the old farm building it was, and encloses a piece of the old orchard as a garden. The sights of the trees, the birds, the hills, the horses are treats in themselves.
