      Lovely, relaxing vacation

Left on 07/27/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Beautiful cottage, with breathtaking views from every window, from lovely gardens, to farm fields and the ocean. The cottage decor was really nice with all conveniences. A steep walk to and from the ocean for swimming but amazing scenery.
There was a lovely couple looking after the cottage that are very helpful with anything you need and the history of the area.
I would definitely return to this cottage! We loved it!

Our year is not complete without a stay in the cottage

Left on 12/30/2011 for a stay in April 2011

I have been a regular renter of the cottage for the past number of years and really cant rate it highly enough. As a child I holidayed in the area and now take evry opportunity to return and the cottage is the idea location to do this.

The Scullys are exellent hosts and really cant do enough to assist you if you have any needs. The house is modern without losing any of its charm and is isolated enough to give you solitude but central enough to West Cork to be an ideal base for sightseeing or a quick trip into Clonakility. If that doesnt suit you Red Strand beach is only a five minute walk away (a bit longer coming back up the hill though!).

My family have all rented the cottage on numerous occasssions and continue to do so and friends who have spent time there with us have also rented the cottage following their visits with us such is the magic of the place. We're going back twice in 2012 and are counting the weeks down already.

      Wonderful, can't recommend it enough

Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in October 2010

I was looking through reviews for other places and suddenly was full of guilt for not writing a review of this wonderful place. I had visitors from australia, we had 6 people in the cottage and there was plenty of room. The setting was just stunning, looking over a bay. Great place to explore West Cork from.

Everything was spotless and Jody was lovely and looked after us so well. We are going to France this year but seriously considered just going back to Dunowen Cottage instead!

      Home away From Home

Left on 08/20/2010 for a stay in April 2010

My family has stayed at Dunowen Cottage twice in the last couple of years and both times we have felt as much at home there as in our own home. The cottage, scenic views, gardens, and location are all exceptional. On top of all that, Dunowen's owners go out of their way to offer a welcoming environment and genuine friendship.
We accidentally timed our april 2010 trip with eruption of the Icelandic Volcano and loved the extra week in Ireland and at Dunowen Cottage as much as the first week. Dunowen's owners provided their personal time and assistance to help us sort out our return to the USa.
I cannot offer higher praise for the quality of Dunowen Cottage and its owners

Dunowen is reason enough to return to Ireland

Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in October 2009

We've stayed at the Scully's fantastic cottage 4 or 5 times now. It's gotten to be like coming home. After Con & Jody's warm welcome, we're always greeted by a spotless and comfortable place to call home for the next week.
It's got a fantastic view and is a great location to launch many day trips from.
We're confident enough to have sent friends there and they've always thanked us.

      The Very Best Vacation

Left on 08/06/2010 for a stay in July 2008

Our stay in July of 08 was our third trip to Dunowen Cottage. It was the first time with our teenage children. They still speak of it often and are anxious for a return trip. The view from the cottage is fabulous and our wonderful hosts are an absolute delight. I have recommended it to family and friends and will continue to do so. We look forward to another stay in the near future.
