Nestled high in the Southern Rockies at an altitude of 9000 feet, the Sleepy Bear Townhouse is surrounded by more than a million acres of the Lincoln National Forest and Sacramento Mountains. The summertime temperatures are delightfully cool and comfortable. You can enjoy golf, tennis, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking and numerous hiking trails. In the fall, hunters find an abundance of deer, elk, bear and turkey. When the snow falls, there is skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, tubing and snow play areas for the whole family to enjoy.

Located in Bear Park next to the Lodge Golf Course. From highway 82 turn on Chautaqua Canyon Rd at Alta Vista Motel. Go west to Bear Park sign and go left on Big Sugar Bear Loop. Condos are on right 1/4 mile. Stay right and go to first condo (#5) on lower level (has double garage). It is Sleepy Bear #5.

A security deposit is required to secure the rental dates and is also a damage deposit. It is refunded after the stay and is not included in the rental total. The rental total is due 10 days before the stay or 30 days for holidays. Payment is by check or money order; credit cards are not accepted.

We have been going to Sleepy Bear Townhome for 10 years once or twice a year. The house is beautiful, roomy, and in the pine trees overlooking a golf course. It is our mountain getaway and never tire of it.

The condo was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. It offered tons of room and accomodated my entire family perfectly. I would definitely rent it again. My only suggestion would be to hire a different housekeeper. It was very dusty.
