The Old Farmhouse is a 300 year old stone house situated in the beautiful Clun valley. Next to a working farm it is an ideal location from which to walk or visit the many nearby historic mrket towns in this tranquil part of Shropshire. The Shropshire Hills are renowned for their unspoilt rural character. We are in the Shropshire AONB-area of outstanding natural beauty. South Shropshire is famous for its wonderful local food and ales. Ludlow, the gastronomic capital of England is 18 miles away. Quiet country lanes which can be expolored on foot, bike or car. well marked walking routes such as The Shropshire Way and Offa's Dyke. Extensive network of local footpaths. We can plan your walk for you, tell you what to do and see and provide a packed lunch. There is ample parking at The Old Farmhouse. Leave your car here and explore the area by bike or foot. Children and dogs welcome.

A warm welcome to a lovely old farmhouse, traditional décor with modern facilities and a homely touch.
The farmhouse is situated near the top of a hill with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. A steep walk back after good food and drink at the local hostelries. Excellent hosts with good advice on local walks. Plenty to see and do locally so the car wasn't used for the 2 days we were there. Highly recommended.
