      Girls weekend

Left on 05/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013

18 ladies stayed at Double T River Ranch to celebrate my daughters bachelorette weekend. There could not have been a more perfect place! The setting was gorgeous, the accommodations were first rate. The barn, first and second floor, is a wonderful meeting space for sharing meals, party room upstairs was a ton of fun. There were some fierce ping pong matches as well as bocce ball and horse shoes on the lawn. Did I mention fly fishing, mountain bike riding, putting green. Also plenty of spots for quiet time. A late night dip in the pond was followed by a soak in the hot tub. I highly recommend Double TRR for family reunions and large group of friends. Addie is a most amazing host.

      Rejuvenating!

Left on 04/24/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Have wanted to take advantage of this wonderful place for a couple years now and we finally made it happen!

A terrific property. The setting - along with the raw beauty of the Shields Valley - is unmatched. The meandering river and the low lying foothills create a place that is one of Montana's best kept secrets. A sanctuary of sorts. Whether for business, pleasure, reunions or respite, this property will not disappoint!

Rooms are well appointed and within close proximity to the "Barn" or the hub of the property. The Barn serves as a great space for meals, meetings and even a game of late night poker.

The service was wonderful. Addie and Deborah were there to greet us and guide us. Chef Hans created some fantastic and memorable meals during our stay. The coffee was always hot and plentiful and, if we had run short on anything, the friendly staff was always willing to go out of their way to help us!

      Activities abound!

Thanks so much for your hospitality...we will be back!

      An Unforgettable Experience

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I attended the hatch conference in Bozeman and had no clue I was staying at the Double T River Ranch---man, what a welcome surprise! The owners of this property truly had a vision and it really translates into a special stay. There's a place in your mind's eye that can picture the perfect Montana ranch, located near a sleepy little cow town, and perched right next to an iconic trout stream. This is the place, that's for sure. And the owners have really been thoughtful and restrained in how they let the property speak for itself. The place is totally comfortable with all the amenities you need, and none of the ones you don't need to savor an historic page out of old Montana.

One of the most peaceful places I've visited...ever!

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I've stayed at the Double T on three different occasions and it honestly gets better each time I go. I've been there with colleagues for a work trip, I've stayed there with my wife and two young sons (who went bananas with all of the activities - fishing, swimming, bocci ball, golfing, bike riding, hiking, the teepee! ..to name a few) and I've attended a conference there as well. Point being, it's a perfect place for business and pleasure.
The owners and staff are wonderful people and you just cannot go wrong staying at the ranch in august (my favorite) or the for ski season. Its a stunningly beautiful place (see attached photo).

      Like living a movie scene

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012

The Double T River Ranch was my opening experience of Montana, and the impression will stay with me forever. Set in a stunning location, alongside a river and surrounded by the gold leaves of turning trees, the Double T combines the best of wilderness camping, but in luxury accommodation. We stayed in one of the cabins, which comfortably slept 5 adults. A light dusting of snow (the first of the season) allowed us to see the variety of wildlife in the area, via prints in white. Our meals were great, and the genuinely warm greeting by the owners Mitch and addie was wonderful. Upstairs in the main "barn" we were treated to some incredible musical performances by the young breakout stars from the Hatch conference, and the acoustics of the unique room made for a memorable experience. Montana, with its wide open scenes straight out of the best western movies, is spectacular, and the Double T River Ranch just enhanced the experience. I will definitely be back, and next time will catch some fish in their pond!

Spectacular property and exceptional guest service!

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I recently attend a Hatch retreat at the Double T. Our group consisted of a mixture of regional guests and out of state/international guests. It was hands down the perfect setting for our group of professionals to decompress and get to know one another. It is clear the utmost vision and creativity was put into every space on the property. Our entire group raved about the rooms, meeting spaces and our amazing, genuinely Montana (through and through) hosts!! During meeting breaks team members took breaks to walk steps away to the river to fly fish, some sat on the deck and relaxed, others fed the horses. Every lodging space was decorated uniquely and with obvious care put into every detail. This may sound corny, but we really felt at home at the Ranch. It is the perfect place for a retreat, family reunion or even just a great place for a large family to gather for a holiday, not to mention a wedding or other significant private event. They are doing things very right at the Double T. They have a life long guest in me.

This place is right out of a movie! If you are looking for a place you can retreat to that has the unparalleled quality of high end resort mixed with rustic elegance, you have found the place. The people who founded this space are equally kind and gentle as the serene landscape that surrounds. Waking up to deer, lovely white bark trees and a bubbling river, out the window of a fabulous cabin (with a painting in the bathroom right out of a natural history museum) was just delightful. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

      Finally something worth writing about!

Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012

So after using and recommending Trip advisor for many years, I have finally stayed somewhere that made me feel compelled to write my first review! Nothing at this ranch was left out or done halfway. From the games, which include a shuffleboard (Made from reclaimed wood on the property!), ping pong table, poker table, pool table, theatre area (we never could bring ourselves to use with everything else that was available!), basketball court, volleyball court, an incredible Bocce Ball court, an amazing putting green with chipping areas, and even a tee pee! I am confident I left out many games...

There is even a garage full of bikes, rafts and two jacked up golf carts for your use any time you wish!

Everything at this ranch was done, purchased or built to top shelf standards. The soaps, mattresses, sheets and thick plush towels are what you would expect from a high end resort. They even thought to have both a soft, as well as a more firm pillow on each bed!

When we checked in, we were told that if we ever reached for anything that wasn’t there, please let them know. They said for us not to worry about being picky, they honestly did not want their guests to want for anything. I truly believe they meant this! After three days at the ranch, I can tell you that never was there a time that I reached for something that wasn’t there!

The highlight of the ranch just might have been addie though… She is a most genuine, humble and caring lady. A most suitable host to round out a perfect stay at the Double T. Double T by the way stands for “time together”. This place makes time together incredible, no matter what the size of your group…

I look forward to spending more time together at the Double T in the future!

I have never written a review for anything online before but feel compelled to tell everyone how incredible this place is! It is perfect for a family reunion...great for fishing groups that have non-fishermen along. Perfect place for children too, though we did not bring any this trip. The setting is idea, incredibly beautiful! The property has been restored and is beautifully decorated and so cozy! The owners tell you over and over that while we were there - this was our home! We have not been on many trips where we were wanting to go back the day we returned home. The only down side to telling the world all this is it will be harder for us to get our return reservations! Enjoy and tell addie we said hi! She is such a life saver!

      Everything you could hope for

Left on 06/04/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We were throwing a relaxed bachelor party for our friend and came across the Double T as it was one of the few places that could handle a group of our size, 16 of us, and have a separate bed for everyone.

We had high hopes as the reviews were remarkable, so we were expecting things to not measure up.

We were blown away by not only the accommodations, but the spectacular property. The big barn common area had a well-stocked kitchen (Try to stump addie if you can), a huge dining area and an upstairs game/lounge room with enough games to occupy a group of aDD guys.

As most bachelor parties take place in Vegas where you can get rowdy, we were expecting to be a bit micromanaged, but it could not have been further from the truth. Mitch and addie helped to tidy up the bedrooms, but you would have thought little elves snuck around as you rarely saw them.

The four wheelers were perfect to get you around the property quickly, or if you wanted to go explore the 120+ acres as they have ponds, rivers, meadows and forests to explore.

I can go on, but you get the point. A great place run by a great couple in a beautiful part of the country. It may not be the cheapest option out there, but you get what you pay for.

Just got back from a week with Mitch and addie at the Double T and am already trying to find an excuse to go back. The ranch itself is an incredible blend of the picturesque Montana landscape with all the luxuries of a fine hotel (and much more). The owners, Mitch and addie, are among the most pleasant and accommodating people you will meet anywhere. They walk that fine line between being responsive to your every want/need, and making you and giving you and your guests the privacy you want. Versatile destination - something for all ages and activity leve

Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012

I can honestly say that the Double T provided me with one of the most memorable vacations that I have been on. The ranch is incredibly versatile offering anything from extreme relaxation to adventurous activities. We enjoyed simply sitting by the mountain stream that races by the two cabins, both in the morning with our morning coffee and with a bonfire at night. No cars, planes, or other city sounds were heard throughout our stay. The property is large, you can travel it by mountain bike (available in the garage), on foot, or via golf cart (two in the garage). The town is small but has unique character making it worth checking out. Mitch took us to his automatic skeet throwers and provided us with a great tutorial - 4 first timers were all able to hit the clay pigeon! The kitchen is amazing, we definitely ate well. The upstairs of the ranch is a great place for competition. Whether it be watching a game on the 60+ inch TV or playing pool, ping-pong, or shuffleboard, we spent a lot of time upstairs battling. There is definitely more that I could add, but I think that I've gotten my point across. Do as little or as much as you please.

I'd highly recommend the Double T River Ranch to all. From my understanding, they host anything from large family gatherings to corporate retreats. The kitchen can be used by caterers or by the guests. The folks that run the ranch are very accommodating, so I'd highly recommend contacting them and asking any questions that you may have.

      Hidden Gem

Left on 04/24/2012 for a stay in April 2012

The true essence of this vacation ranch cannot be captured though pictures or text. This was one of the most impressive vacation rentals I have stayed at, from the first-class customer service to the overall landscaping and serene beauty of the area.

The layout of the property is spacious and easy to walk/drive around (especially in the golf carts). It felt as though everyone was close but also had plenty of room to spread out. There are two cabins located right off the river. I woke up to the sound of birds and running water which speaks for itself, not to mention the bed mattresses and sheets which are fit for a queen. A few of us made a campfire by the river one of the nights; went on several hikes around the property, and I had the opportunity to enjoy a good book by the riverside.

The Barn was a perfect place for our group to gather, including the dogs! Some played games in the field while others relaxed by the pond. The upstairs of the barn was the ultimate adult and kid play area for our group, they have a variety of games, and there was plenty of room for our group to spread out. The kitchen is industrial size and a dream for any cook – even the “cook-wannabe” like myself. The entire rental was very clean and more than what I expected.

The customer service was impeccable. The owners/hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Addie taught our group her family favorite dice game called “Roll-Em”. Deborah helped situate our group and gave each of our group members a tour upon arrival. They even ran a few special errands for us at the grocery store – above and beyond.

I would highly recommend this ranch to both small and large groups; I can’t speak highly enough of my experience – thanks Double T! My boyfriend didn’t want me to write a review because he was afraid there wouldn’t be reservations available for next year!

One of the most relaxing, serene, and unforgettable places I've

Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in April 2012

I am a graduate student and stayed at the Double T River Ranch with some friends during our spring break and it was just the vacation I needed! Our program is very intense so I was looking forward to getting away and I couldn't think of a better place to do so. Every morning I woke up hearing the sound of the river just outside our cabin and one morning I sat on the patio with a cup of coffee soaking in the fresh mountain air, watching the river, and clearing my thoughts.

"At the ranch, everyone moves at their own pace, with the freedom to do whatever they want." This phrase was stated multiple times by my friend who recommended us to the ranch and I think it sums up my experience perfectly. The "Party Barn" was a great central location for everyone to hang out; with a big screen TV, shuffle board, ping pong, pool, arcade games and a huge dining area, there was more than enough to keep us busy. Then, when I wanted to steal away and go for a walk to take in the beautiful views of the mountains in the distance or the steady stream of the river running by the two cabins located some distance from the barn, I could. It provided the perfect mix of social time and solitary time, I can't say enough about the experience. Oh and by the way...there's also a regulation bocce ball court, nice new basketball hoop, bikes to go on bike rides to downtown Clyde Park (a really cool, small town), a hot tub, small pond to go swimming in, and in the summer I hear they put up volleyball nets! Since we only stayed for 3 days we obviously didn't get to do all these things, but I'm pretty sure I could have stayed entertained for months!

This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the hospitality that was shown to my group by the owners of the ranch as well. I haven't met a more accommodating group of people in my life! It's really nice to know that not only did I have an amazing time, but it feels good to support a business being run by genuinely kind, good people. The effort they put into every detail of the ranch was incredible, from the individual fireplaces in both cabins to the pressed sheets on the beds. It was definitely the classiest resort I've ever stayed at.

In short, The Double T River Ranch is the perfect getaway for any group, young or old, and I will be making many more visits!

I booked the Double T with my extended family for an anniversary party for my parents. We're all native Montanans and still felt like we were on a wonderful vacation. The place is beautiful, the accommodations are so clean and comfortable and there is something to do for everyone. Absolutely everything you could need is there. We cooked, played games, went for walks, sat in the hot tub, played shuffleboard and pool. People could be with the group or take a break and relax in their own cabin. Everyone in my family raved that it was one of the best times they'd ever had. The owners are unbelievably accommodating and helpful. I think I'd forgotten what true hospitality and customer service was like until dealing with addie and Deborah. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, but we're already looking for a birthday, anniversary or other excuse to come back! I would highly recommend the Double T for any group wanting to relax and spend time with each other as well as enjoy the outdoors.

Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We just returned from a week at the Double T kicking and screaming! What a wonderful place for our entire family to enjoy! We were able to escape the Texas heat and spend full days in the splendor of the great outdoors! The Double T has thought of all of your needs- they have everything you might have forgotten stocked in the bathrooms, bikes of every size for all, games galore, etc! The location is close to town, but you feel like you are world's away on the property. Quiet, pristine and full of wildlife... we can't wait to go back!

Thank you so much, Jenny! We miss you guys and really hope to see you again. You have a truly lovely family. Hope you are not dying in the heat......sounds awful. Maybe you should come back and float on the pond to cool off! All the best from all of us. Addie

      A Fabulous Birthday Weekend

Left on 06/01/2010 for a stay in February 2010

The Double T was the perfect option for our 'girls weekend', easily and comfortably accommodating all 20 of us. We enjoyed the gorgeous setting, the activities and the food (the barn is a great set up for cooking and entertaining). As much as we all love to cook, a highlight was the fully-catered dinner that the Double T staff helped us coordinate. All in all, a very fun, relaxing, easy weekend.

We stayed for two days and one night on our way to Yellowstone National Park. We were greeted by Addie and Deb, our hosts, given a great tour of the facilities and grounds and then left alone to settle in and relax. Our cabin had all the amenities that we needed, was elegantly furnished in a rustic way which fit the landscape. We were right by the river which afforded a great walk, wonderful sounds and a chance to see some wildlife. My husband even "wet a line". We were served a great dinner and visited with our hosts under the stars sipping B & B. It doesn't get much better! The Ranch is not that far out of Livingston but how it is set up affords quite a bit of privacy which is a plus. Our only problem is that we didn't schedule enough time there to really enjoy the beauty and serenity of the place. We highly recommend the Ranch for a vacation, retreat, a family reunion or s stopover on the way to or from Yellowstone.

What can i say...the Double T River Ranch is paradise found! My girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls weekend and had a BLAST! They have everything you could ever want or need there-including incredible hospitality, luxurious beds, and unmatched accomodations.

I have traveled alot in my lifetime but the Double T River Ranch stands out as one of the best! We lounged all day by the pond and enjoyed the sun, played bocce ball and walked the property line over and over only to find new surprises each time! The river cabins are a MUST, and are nestled in an aspen grove that is breathtaking!

I can't wait to get back to the Double T River Ranch, the BEST R&R I have ever had! Thank you!
