Left on 03/10/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This vacation was planned for my daughter (who graduates this yr). There were 7 of us (all women!) who stayed together for a wk. The layout of the home was fabulous! I loved the open floor plan & all of the natural light. The kitchen was equipped with everything that you need. The bathrooms have plenty of towels (including beach towels) - the only thing that I noticed is that there were not many washcloths, so we picked up a pack for $1 at Walmart (which is very close, so that's convenient). The beds were comfy & we had plenty of space to unpack. We used the sofabed a couple nights & the only problem we ran into was we didn't have any extra blankets...so we just layered up some sheets (there were plenty of extras in the closets) Having the private pool was a bonus - teenagers loved it! There were plenty of chairs that could be used outside or taken to the beach. There is a nice charcoal grill out back. There wasn't any outdoor lighting in the back, but if you turn on the lights in the kitchen (especially the one above sink) & open the blinds that lights up the back pretty well :) The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful. The location was great - within walking distance of Ron Jon's & lots of other shopping & food places, but the best part was how close the beach was! The neighborhood was quiet & we always felt safe day & night. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to stay in the area. One final note - car and trans. - we flew into Orlando and rented a van for our stay. It was nice to have a vehicle, as there is a lot to see that may not be w/in walking distance. We got a great deal on the van by renting through Priceline in advance (almost a $500 savings for the week!) On our departure day 1/2 of us flew out separately, so we used Cocoa Beach Shuttle service to get to the airport - the larger the group the cheaper the price - he picked us up right at our doorstep! The service was wonderful - I would highly recommend them if you need a transfer.
