Welcome to the Buffalo Lodge! This large "shop" home is situated on a private 16-acre parcel in Clark, Wyoming. There is room for parking an RV (no hook-ups) and cars. The lodge is ideal for 10 guests but has room for more at an additional cost.
Experience the joy of Bennett creek and the small pond, both perfect for cooling off in the summer heat. Bennett creek is slow moving but fast enough to float down on inner-tubes, wade, or even fish. The pond is great for swimming, fishing, floating, or just dipping your feet in to cool off. Just off the patio is a shallow area perfect for younger children to sit in the water and play. There is... also a small playground and sand pit. Bring your horses for an additional fee and ride on the property or explore the many trails to the east and west.
The lodge features an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and living room. French doors lead off the living room to the patio. There are four bedrooms and three baths on the main floor. The upstairs has additional sleeping arrangements, another bathroom, and plenty of floor space for the less-discerning guest with a sleeping bag. One end of the home is a large bay with cement floor and collapsible tables and chairs. This is a perfect location for large group gatherings and cook-outs.

This land used to be part of a working buffalo ranch. Now Snowflake Ranch offers three different lodging choices on 16 acres of prairie and creek. Enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains and prairies; the Beartooth and Absaroka Mountains to the west and north, Big Horns to the east and Heart Mountain to the south. Plan some time to relax and watch the wildlife – ducks, eagles, hawks, rabbits, antelope, white tail and mule deer, coyote and fox. If you like to fish, you can purchase a license at Edelweiss just minutes from the ranch.
Bennett Creek runs through the property year round and there is a pond that provides opportunities for fishing, floating or swimming. The rugged and beautiful nearby Clark's Fork River and Canyon is a must for fishing, hiking, photography and sightseeing. Look for moose, elk, mountain goats and big horn sheep in the nearby mountains. The Clark’s Fork Fish Hatchery is just two miles down the road and visitors are welcome.

This is a wild and rugged—Real—Wyoming.
This means that some of the luxuries of the city will be left behind. For instance, the closest grocery store or restaurant is nearly 30 miles away! The road to the ranch is gravel and dirt. The ranch is easily accessible by car, but you will travel approximately a mile and a half on a bumpy, dusty road. There are a few hazards that you need to be aware of. Our property is bordered by barbwire fences that are sharp. Cell phone service is limited. If you stand on the bridge, hold your head, hand, foot, ear, toe and tongue just right, you might be able to make a call! The good news is that text messaging works well and the home includes a landline phone for incoming or local calls.
Bennett Creek and the pond provide beauty and fun but can be hazardous to small children. Always… always supervise your children. There is no life guard on duty. Life jackets and water equipment may be available, but you enter the water at your own risk.
We have never experienced bear on our property and very rarely see rattle snakes. However, this is the wild prairie and there is a possibility of undesirable wild creatures, especially mice, harmless snakes, skunks or raccoons.
Snowflake Ranch is a place of simple comforts; not fancy, but clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning in any of the buildings. Nights in Wyoming usually cool off nicely so you can enjoy the natural breezes and coolness with open windows.
Camp fires are allowed in designated fire pit locations only. Always supervise and extinguish when you are done.
The ranch affords plenty of privacy but there will be management personnel on available should you need anything.
PRICING is based on an occupancy of 10 guests. Additional guests are $10 per person, per day, up to 30 guests. For larger groups with no guest limit, rent all three properties (Buffalo Lodge, Snowflake Cabin and Peacemaker Cottage). Contact the office for more information and rates.
