      peace and quiet

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012

a friendly welcome from the owners and a comprehensive intro to the well equiped lodge. the lodge had everything we wanted and it is well situated for touring the area with lots to do in wet and dry weather. we liked the peaceful setting and the views from the lodge and we well may make a return visit in a year or so. the only slight snag was that we never got to grips with the storage heaters which seemed determined never to produce any heat

A lovely lodge furnished and decorated to a high standard.
Comfortable and clean. A little isolated (need to travel by car to get anywhere local) but some lovely places nearby - St abbs and Eyemouth. Great walking along the cliffs.

      Relaxing countryside getaway

Left on 12/18/2009 for a stay in October 2009

The owners met us upon arrival to greet us and were very welcoming. The cottage is beautifully situated and very private. Our view over looked the countryside and we could watch the bunnies, pheasants, deer and red squirrels playing every day.

Although it was small, it was very well equipped and cozy. We were especially impressed with how well the kitchen was equipped. The nice high ceiling in the living room made it seem larger. It was also very clean and comfortable.

We especially enjoyed the area and surrounding towns. Everyone was friendly, helpful and pleasant.
