Key Cottage is a sweet, three-bedroom home with two sunrooms, on a lovely triple lot. Our clean and spacious home-away-from-home offers plenty of green space to play, deeded Lake Michigan Beach Access within a wooded, picturesque setting just north of St. Joseph Michigan. The bluff is less than a five minute walk from the house (approx 500 feet) with terraced steps built into the ravine leading to a private, clean beach with clean sands and plenty of space to relax from the crowds of other public beaches. Key Cottage was a lovely home for my family of three while on a short vacation. It was very clean, from the linens to the floors and well-maintained inside and out. The home was charmingly decorated, but not overly furnished like some rentals--this made it low-stress for our family, because it was easy to keep my toddler away from anything fragile or dangerous. Loved the beach towels, chairs, umbrella and sand toys available for use. The firepit and patio furniture were great for relaxing outside. Mattresses were very comfortable, and I'm quite picky in this area. Wish it were a bit closer to town or a grocery store, but we enjoyed the quiet area as well.

When my in-laws and other relatives from the Netherlands decided to visit us for 3 weeks, I wanted to find a perfect place for us all to stay together. We wanted something with beach access, but since we had other plans in addition to the beach, we didn't want to pay the prices that are usually asked for lakefront houses. This home was great for us--private beach access just a short walk down the path, and close enough to St. Joseph, Saugatuck, etc. that we could use it as a starting point for each day. The house itself had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. (My mother-in-law even said she was impressed with how clean everything was, and she is not easy to impress in this regard.) Overall, we were very happy with our stay here, and will definitely be booking this property again the next time the relatives are in town.

My two sisters and I decided to get away from the city for a few days and found this nice spot on Lake Michigan. It was just too cute! Looks like a smaller cottage on the outside, but was very roomy and comfortable inside. Clean as anything with a big living room, two sun rooms, kitchen with separate dining room, three bedrooms and one bathroom. The wood burning stove was such a joy and we didn't even need to use the the furnace. The lake was at the end of the street - there was a private beach for the street residents. Nice and secluded. Everything we needed was there including linens and washer and dryer. I can't wait to go back in the summer. This was just very comfy and homey.

Quiet. Serene. A mornning stroll to the pristine waters of Lake Michigan awakened my soul and filled my body with untold energy. Revitalized, I was ready to explore all beautiful southwestern Michigan has to offer. Antique shops, quaint art galleries, nature centers, farm-fresh produce stops (goods for a dinner one could only wish for in the big city), and of course the beach and waters of Lake Michigan.
The cottage, so charming in its decor, offered me what I was hoping for in my vacation home.
I will return time and again to recharge and refresh my mind, body and soul. -

We found this cozy home had all the amenities we were looking for and more.The location gave us the ability to travel short distances to such places as South Haven, Saugatuck, St.Joseph & Benton Harbor the home of a new Jack Nicklaus golf course community.The wooded area around this home showed us all the brillance of fall colors that we came to see. We ended our romantic evenings with a fine bottle of wine which we puchased during our visit to St.Julian winery sitting by the warmth of a wood burning fireplace.

I had the opportunity to spend a very pleasant two weeks in this lovely cottage. I needed some time alone to write and found this to be a perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach along Lake Michigan and to be a base to come back to after exploring some of the quaint towns within easy driving distance: South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland.

This charming cottage is just steps away from a beautiful private sandy beach on Lake Michigan. The unit contained all the amenities of a home and is situated on a quiet wooded lot. We were able to entertain overnight guests in the extra bedrooms. Laundry is available in cottage. Housekeeping services were not available mid week.
We enjoyed eating and shopping in the nearby towns of St Joseph and South Haven. Also, there are some nice golf courses nearby. We will definitely stay here again. -
