Description

USER FRIENDLY RANCH HOME moments from the highway and the towns of Columbus and Tryon. Stay here and escape a little. You will still be close to everything when you are ready to see our local attractions. This is an older home with a welcoming feel and a little character. There is one large master bedroom with a walk in closet and a klng sized bed with a great mattress (Sealy's version of the Temperpedic forms to your body), There is another bedroom with a king bed and queen bed both on platforms; all the mattresses and box springs were purchased New in April this year. All bedrooms have walk in closets. The little bathroom has a new toilet, new vanity for sink, new medicine cabinet but the shower is ...well, its just old is all. It works great (water pressure is awesome!) and it's clean but visually leaves much to be desired (hence the character I referred to earlier...heh heh.) Though the master doesn't have its own bath, there is a handicapped accessible bathroom right outside the master bedroom. I wasn't able to completely update the baths or the flooring yet; they are clean and reasonably attractive but they have seen a lot of life. The kitchen is clean and inviting and the living room has a couch an easy chair and a new 55" smart tv with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu for your entertainment and wifi of course.

Vanderbilt's Summer Home - Biltmore is about a half an hour up the road and is worth investing two days in exploring. Tour the main house, then hit the winery. Rent horses and go on a trail ride over the amazing 8,000 acre estate or bike through it. When you get tired, stop on the way home at Saluda's Purple Onion http://www.purpleonionsaluda.com/index.php/menu and enjoy a fantastic dinner either inside or out under the canopy. The next day plan a full day to explore Lake Lure (where they filmed Dirty Dancing) with its beautiful beach; lay out and work on your tan and let the kids splash around. Cocktail and Sup at one of the local restaurants. Spend the next day at Chimney Rock State Park shopping at all of the really cool eclectic little shops and travel to the top of Chimney Rock for a great adventure. Take a hike with a tour guide out to the waterfall and work up an appetite for your dinner in Tryon at The Brick Pizzaria and Cafe. Great food and atmosphere. If you have more time the Town of Hendersonville is a great place to shop with so many great little shops and places to eat. And I haven't even talked about Asheville. Super fun, eclectic shops and eateries and antique stores and if you love art, shopping, food and fun (like I do) you will be in heaven. It takes about two weeks to really get acquainted with all the great things in this area and once you do you'll want to move here.

You can walk anywhere in the town of Columbus within 15 minutes of Arhaus. But if you want to go to the Tryon Equestrian Center or to Lake Lure or Asheville or Biltmore you probably need a car.
