There are many terraces with beautiful views of the countryside. The villa is 15 minutes by car from the sea and 10 minutes by car to the village of Comares where you will find bars, shops, banks and restaurants. Comares is a wonderful, traditional Andalucian village, nestled in beautiful landscape which offers a real opportunity to relax and unwind.
Perched on the top of a hill some 740 metres above sea level, it affords some stunning views across the majestic landscape, to the coast, lake and mountains. During the day Comares sits atop its hill, clusters of whitewashed Andalucian village houses visible from a distance; at night the village lights sparkle and almost make the town appear as it is floating in the sky.
The village features as a point on the scenic Ruta de la Pasa (Route of the Raisin). The village and surrounding area brings together a happy and lively community with several local bars and restaurants.
Comares is situated 15 kilometres north of the coast as the crow flies. The city of Málaga is 35 kilometres away, a journey which takes around one hour.
Local activities
There is a good quality municipal pool in Comares, which is open during the summer months, and a larger and very attractive municipal pool, set in gardens in the nearby village of Benamargosa, about 10 minutes drive away. If you feel like a trip to the coast, the pleasant town of Torre del Mar and its beaches is just 30 minutes away by car.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at El Candado east of Málaga, it is around 35 kilometres away, and equally 35 minutes drive. It is a very attractive course with fantastic views and enjoyable for all levels of player.
Cuisine
Comares' cuisine is typical of the region, with lots of seafood, meat and rice on the menu. There are a number of tapas bars, restaurants and cáfes in Comares and a diverse choice of what to eat.
Tapas are a delicious way to savour lots of different local specialities and although the portions are small there is no limit to how many you can order! In some of the more traditional bars you will often get a ‘tapa’ (small tapas dishes) for free with a caña (small beer).

50% deposit and 50% on arrival. There is a surcharge of 50 euros for arrivals after midnight. During the months of July and August all reservations must be from Saturday - Saturday. All clients will receive a contract, information and directions to the villa. A caretaker will visit to clean the pool and help you with any problems you may have. You will also receive a 24 hour emergency telephone number. Special offers for weekends, fiestas and bank holidays. Discounts available for long lets over the winter months. There is an additional fee of 120euros per week for heating for the swimming pool. Please ask for this, it is not automatic.

may 2012 for 2 weeks in this spacious beautiful villa with amazing
views, blue skies, tweeting birds, many lizards and praying mantises lovely warm pool,and great communication with Jose antonio was literally the best villa we have stayed in ever. I had a party of 8 and there was plenty of room but 15 people is what the villa can take would be a little bit cramped again the pool size fitted us great but would be cramped with 15. The ceilings are high great for tall people the bedrooms are spacious and simple (please watch the doors banging) as it was quite windy being high up. please be aware ladies that the sewerage system is different to the UK do not throw thingies down the toilet. the location was amazing easy to find, 2 mins in the car to benemagosa the first cafe(shut on Mondays)on the corner opposite the coviran (food shop)has amazing food 6 euro for a fulfilled meal, cheap alcohol too. there are 2 banks that shut a 2pm. kiosko is great open all hours sells all sorts from tobacco, sweets and some essentials. thank you Linda and David for this amazing holiday home all in all i would definitely rent this villa again and recommend it to many.

fantastica casa con picisna caliente y todas las comodidades que se puede necesitar para pasar unas buenas vacaciones en familia solo o grupos la cocina muy bien equipada con lavadora lavaplatos en fin todo que se puede necesitar a visitar y seguro no se desilucionara

Wonderfull villa with more than complete inventory and a lovely heated pool with stunning views over the mountains and the lovely village Salto del Negro. Hose is perfect for your privacy and everything is located in a good distance of the house. Velez-Malaga in 20 minutes.
Good service from Linada and David of Jose antonio, if you have a question or a problem. Wonderfull. We certainly come back again.

We had some rain, but with the heated swimmingpool we did not notice it so much. Could do a lot of travelling.Linda is doing a very good job and Jose antonio really comes when needed, is very friendly asnd helpful. Nothing was complicated, a really relaxing atmosphere and a very nice stay.

We liked the house a lot. It was, as described - spacious, clean and well equipped. Also the beds were big and comfortable. But the best of all was the heated pool. Makes a holiday with kids in spring or autumn so much more relaxed. You have a great view from the house - especially from the big terrace on the roof. The contact to the owners was very friendly, very fast and always helpful. We'd definitely come back there.
The little village Comares is very pretty, much more picturesque, than we expected. Don't leave out the restaurant "El Molino de los Abuelos". It's just at the entrance of the village on the little main square. It' so tasteful with a beautiful garden. The panoramic view is terrific and the two owners run it so friendly. And last but not least a phantastic menu with meals which would deserve a couple of stars ... - great cook!!!

The e-mail contact with the owners was perfect, very friendly and with the right information.
Arriving in the house, the pool was heated, the house was very clean and we felt at home the moment we opened the door.
In the house, everything was present for a perfect holiday. Outside barbeque, washing machine and a dish washer, very well equipped kitchen, good furniture and good beds with more than enough towels for us. The only minor point was the satelite receiver, that did not work, so we had no television during our stay. But that was more than compensated by the view over the hills. The house, standing on a very good location gives you the feeling of total freedom. Shops are nearby and also Comares is a very nice place to visit, with a very good restaurant. We love to come back in this very well equipped house, so we booked again for a week in january and also an other vacation in may next year. Highly recommanded.

We had a wonderfull stay in this house, well located on the top of a small hill, enjoyed a nearly permanent light wind.
We had chance to make some daily trips for visiting Sevilla, Cordoba, Ronda, Malaga and Granada.
Children enjoyed it too.
