Located just below the Village of Comares with extensive views from the Mountains to the sea, this beautiful villa offers large and bright accommodation. With beds for maximim17 people. The villa has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room,kitchen,barbecue, large private swimming pool and many terraces with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. The swimming pool can be heated for an extra cost of 180 euros per week. There is also a wood burner for winter evening and radiators

The villa is 5 minutes, by car, from the beautiful and traditional village of Comares which has shops, bars,restaurants, banks, pharmacy and bakery. The village o...f Comares has fantastic views to the coast. It is a beautiful village with a Moorish atmosphere. The village has a rich history. There are many interesting walks. Horse riding in the Mountains is also available and you can tour the area by donkey!

From this location you can reach the beautiful beaches of Torre Del mar and La Caleta in 25 minutes and Lake Vinuela in 20 minutes. You can also visit Granada, Seville, Ronda and Cordoba.

Comares

Fortunately, despite being breathtakingly pretty, Comares has not yet succumbed to the coach tour circuit, There is exquisite small hotel on the main plaza.

Throughout the village, there are colourful ceramic plaques depicting Comares and; important events in history, There has been a settlement here since the third century BC.

The village remains typically Moorish in its layout and design with narrow cobbled streets, interspersed with arches (dating back to medieval time), flanked with simple whitewashed houses. The Parish Church is 16th century with a beautiful coffered/stucco/moulded ceiling.

The views from the village are, quite literally, incredible. From the south, rolling hills of olive and almond trees reach to the sea, while to the north, dramatic mountains rise up far into the distance,

The main industry in Comares is the production of olive oil, wine and almonds while, in the valley, esparto grass is grown for domestic and agricultural use.

Additional Location Information

Comares is a wonderful, traditional Andalucian village, nestled in beautiful landscape which offers a real opportunity to relax and unwind.

Perched on the top of a hill it affords some stunning views across the majestic landscape, to the coast, lake and mountains. During the day Comares sits atop its hill, clusters of whitewashed Andalucian village houses visible from a distance; at night the village lights sparkle and almost make the town appear as it is floating in the sky.

The village features as a point on the scenic Ruta de la Pasa (Route of the Raisin). The village and surrounding area brings together a happy and lively community with several local bars and restaurants.

Comares is situated 15 kilometres north of the coast as the crow flies. The city of Malaga is 35 kilometres away, a journey which takes around one hour.
Local activities
There is a good quality municipal pool in Comares, which is open during the summer months, and a larger and very attractive municipal pool, set in gardens in the nearby village of Benamargosa, about 10 minutes drive away. If you feel like a trip to the coast, the pleasant town of Torre del Mar and its beaches is just 30 minutes away by car.

Golf
The nearest golf course is Baviera, approx 40 minutes by car. It is a very attractive course with fantastic views and enjoyable for all levels of player.

Cuisine
Comares' cuisine is typical of the region, with lots of seafood, meat and rice on the menu. There are a number of tapas bars, restaurants and cafes in Comares and a diverse choice of what to eat.

50% deposit and 50% on arrival. There is a surcharge of 50 euros for arrivals after midnight. During July and August all reservations must be from Saturday - Saturday. All payment must be by bank transfer. Someone will visit during your vacation to clean the swimming pool and to help you if you have any problems. You will also have an emergency 24 hour telephone number.
We have special offers for weekends, fiestas and bank holidays. Discounts available for long lets over winter.
There is a charge of 180 euros per week for pool heating. Please ask for this it is not automatic.
