Residence La Grande Cordée, a large, four storey ski chalet, is situated in a quiet location overlooking the traditional village of Combloux with the fashionable ski resort of Megève just 4km away .

Residence La Grande Cordée, a large, four storey ski chalet, is situated in a quiet location overlooking the traditional village of Combloux, with magnificent views of the majestic peaks of the Mont Blanc range to one side and the Aravis range to the other. The fashionable ski resort of Megève is just 4km away with the centre of Combloux a short 2km drive and the Bouch...et ski lift just 800m away.

Guests at La Grande Cordée have free access to an indoor heated swimming pool and an open air sun terrace with stunning views of Mont Blanc.

For a small supplement, guests may use the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. And for the ultimate in relaxation, after a hard day on the pistes, you can order a massage from the local therapist who comes out to the residence.

In the sitting room adjoining the reception, you will find a children?s area, billiard table and a pin-ball machine.

There are a limited number of indoor parking spaces and further outdoor spaces.

There is a large free car-park by the nearby Bouchet ski lift which takes you to the foot of the pistes.

At la Grande Cordée there is the choice of studio apartments for 2 people or one bedroom ski apartments for 4 people. Some one bedroom apartments have a view of Mont Blanc (supplement payable) but the studio apartments do not. Most apartments have a balcony (7m² for the studios, 11m² for the 1 bedroom apartments).

The compact studio measures approximately 20m² and has a pull-out sofa bed which sleeps 2 people.

The studio has a fully-equipped kitchenette with a ceramic hob, a microwave/grill, a fridge, a kettle and electric coffee maker.

There is a bathroom with a bath and WC.

Wi-fi access is available but must be pre-booked and a supplement is payable.

The Combloux ski area itself offers 100k of pistes in a truly magnificent alpine setting. This area is served by 27 lifts and has 54 slopes (10 green, 15 blue, 22 red and 7 black). However, combined with Megève and St Gervais which are all inter-linked, you have the vast 455km ?Evasion? area at your disposal. The best way to access this is via the Princesse gondola which is 5 minutes drive away. As well as this extensive alpine ski area, there are 4 designated snow-board parcs, cross-country ski tracks, a luge run and 30km of tracks for walking and snow-shoeing.

In short, there is something for everyone and the resort?s ?Famille Plus? label tells you that it is great for families.
