This contemporary, luxuriously furnished ground floor split level apartment is one of nine in a stylish complex completed in 2010, with private balcony and shared garden, BBQ and communal pool Jacuzzi and sauna. Located in a tranquil spot but convenient for visiting the mid-lake sightseeing towns of Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna and the attractions of the western bank, down to Como. It’s only ten minutes from the nearest beach, restaurants, local shops and ferry point and not far from the Lake’s top attraction – Villa Carlotta.

The purpose of this holiday was a wedding at nearby Villa Carlotta, and both the families wanted a suitable location that was perfectly satisfied by Griane Residence.
Two couples and one child stayed in the downstairs apartment 3, and three couples stayed in upstais apartment 9 directly above 3. All 11 were able to get together every morning outside apartment 3 for breakfast, and on several evening BBQ`s.
The service we recieved from the owner could not have been any better.
The stamdard and clenliness of the apartments could not have been better.
The local shop was exellent for our food for breakfast, and particularly our BBQ`s because the butcher was fantastic the way he prepared the meat etc.
The facilities of swimming pool,sauna, etc were great.
The location provided beatiful scenery, a peacful and quiet place, and a great area for walking. Particulaly the walk to the chuch half way up the mountain.
The location may not be that suitable for elderly people without a car, because of the 10 to 15 minute walk up quite a steep footpath from the lake side. We were all without transport but realy quite fit, and took the walk as a bit of a challenge on our return to the residence. -

- There is a small Grocery only 200 meters from the apartment.
- Take a walk to the Church San Martino... the view over the city and the lake is great.
- If you have time you can take the (slow moving) ferry to Como (80-90 min) from Cadenabbia. It is a beautiful trip along the shores of the Como lake.
- Take your time and relax in the pool, at the appartment. -

When we arrived at the Lake we were met at Lenno and taken up to the apartments which were about a 10 minute drive. Once we stepped into the apartment we were amazed they were lovely, very modern and full of all the mod cons.
Matteo and Marco were very helpful and explained to us where all the good local restaurants and shops were.
The apartment was very spacious and would fit 6 people very comfortably. We were only 4 and felt like we had our own apartments as it was on 2 levels.
The apartment had a small supply of things such as tea/coffee, washing tablets, salt, pepper etc - oh and not to forget a bottle of wine!
The pool, jacuzzi and BBQ were all well used and often cleaned.
There is a great little supermarket just down the hill to the right as you come out the apartments. It is little more expensive but has great bread, meats and cheeses.
If you go left out the apartments it is a short road to Tremezzo. There are very nice restaurants here and a great wine bar.
The pub that is half way down the hill was also a favourite of ours (with strange dolls outside!) very eclectic. It might be a good stop off for the climb the climb up the hill at night as it can be hard going especially for any elderly.
At the bottom of the hill you can get the boat to Bellagio. We hired at boat and seen the lake this way which was very fun and quite reasonably priced.
You must take your walking shoes and climb up to San Martino which is the church on the mountain behind the apartment.
The only thing I would say is don't go to the Victoria bar on the main street - claims to be a English bar. It's terrible food and service.
So many great things we will all be definitely back soon and definitely be staying in Griante residence! -

We have just returned from the Villa, it was very spacious clean and new. The pool, sauna, hot tub and BBQ were all put to good use by the Family (aged 7,9,39 and 40). The facilities are shared with the other apartments but never feel crowded. There is secure covered parking so the car can be parked up and left. Nearest shop/supermarket 100yds. 5 minute walk to the Lake front and about 10minutes to the Ballagio Ferry. Peacful and quiet reached by some steep narrow roads but quiet enough to walk along with small children and pushchairs. The size of the rooms has to be seen to be believed, in a Spanish resort this would be devided down into another 3 apartments. The complex is on 4 levels. Some apartments have basement rooms with limited natural light. The top floor apartments get lake views but stairs to the pool. I would say apartment 2 is the best with an entrance directly to the pool. Would I go back absolutely, and I would take my friends. We were there for a family wedding and many of the Hotel based guests were very envious.

Most helpful manager Matteo who was always available. Apartment very spacious and comfortable and ideally configured for 2 couples - one floor each with all amenities. Could have done with a small table on balcony for alfresco eating. Extra outside chairs provided as soon as requested. Quiet area which was lovely after the busy lake-side towns.

We stayed in one of the larger apartments which we found to be excellent value and quality.
We would highly recommend these apartments, however the only slight drawback being the steps up the hill, however great for working off the evening dinner!
The availability of additional facilities such as the pool and hot tub / sauna were very welcome.
We will definitely consider using these apartments when we next visit Lake Como - overall rating 9.5 out of 10 - a wonderful holiday!

Me and my wife kept talking about the lovely time we spent in lake como and Griante aparment for along time, we defiantly will go back again.
It was unforgettable days, The lake is far around 10 min walk,(it's a little bit hard to walk up hill to reach the apartment)some people may consider it as a kind of joy, For me this was the only thing my wife was nagging about:).
The apartment is very clean, spacious, comfortable, nice views, You can see the lake from the main entrance.
There are 2 supermarket nearby, we enjoyed cooking in the full applied kitchen.
There is a common swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, private parking (we didn't even need a car, there is a bus & ferry station down hill).
The owner was very helpful, we do recommend it without any doubt to all our friends and family.

The Griante residence is a great place for a relaxing holiday. The manager was very friendly and gave some useful info about the area on arrival. Our appartment was very spacious and clean, and the garden with pool, bbq and jacuzzi was very nice and well taken care of. Would love to go again.

The apartment was very nice - spacious, clean and comfortable furniture etc.. The location was also great, though a lake view would have made it even more outstanding. The pool area was nice, clean and sunstantial enough for all to share while still being fairly initimate. Only comment for improvement here is that the sunbed backs could benefit from some tightening so that the shades at the back stay on! The location itself in Cadenabbia Griante was very convenient to explore other parts of Lake Como, taking advantage of the town ferry service and road transportation routes. The residence is highly recommended for a couple or group/family of four.
