The apartment is roughly 2 blocks from the duomo and an "italian" 5 minute walk from most places you would want to go to in Como. It was very well furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the full washing machine/dryer doesnt hurt.
The owner and caretaker were very helpful in regards to the apartment and where to go in como.
The balcony had a great view of the mountain and funicular (not the lake sadly) and is great to chill out on.

This apartment is beautiful. New, spotless, high end interiors. The kitchen and bathrooms with top appliances. Lots of windows with panoramic views from every room. Very pleasant balcony with the Doumo and mountain views. All amenities, wifi, internet, HD TV. Management was always reachable. Maid service. The area was perfect, right across from the walled downtown with its narrow streets full of shops and restaurants and also close to the lake and boats going to upper lake. Very quiet and safe building. The lobby was humble but very clean, typical European style. But the apartment was remodeled with the highest standards, we were impressed. In addition, Como, is close to many wonderful places: Lugano, Milano, Bergamo, Bellagio, Mennagio so you can do daily trips to these places and discover all that the area has to offer. We will come back.

Somewhat difficult to locate (lack of street signs), this apartment is a perfect base for Lake Como. It is totally modern,very well equipped with all amenities and well serviced. The elevator makes the 4th floor quite workable. It does give you the "wow" factor when entering the main room.
We found the noisy street somewhat distracting with open windows at night. Ceiling fans would be appreciated when all windows were closed. The second bedroom is a little snug when set as a double bed. An "American" coffee maker would be nice.

We stayed 5 nights here, met on arrival at the apartment by Christine who showed us through the apartment, also spoke with Leo who welcomed us to Como.The apartment is very modern and clean, it is fully self contained, all you need is your food and drink. It is in a great location within easy walking distance to the Old City and waterfront.After a busy day out it was great to come home to a large modern appartment.Leo the owner rang us during our stay to make sure everything was fine and also suggested a couple of retaurants to visit, we really apprecated his assistance.

Leo, the owner, made sure everything was perfect for our week long stay. We really enjoyed the apartment. It had everything we needed and was modern and clean. Location was great, just across the road from the walled part of the city.

My husband and I stayed at this ideal apartment for 5 days in October. We were impressed from the beginning when we were greeted by our host at the front door. we were given a thorough orientation of the fascilities at the apartment which saved a lot of time trying to work different appliances. The owner, Leo also rang to make sure all our needs had been met - very unusual these days. The apartment was in the hub of the old town and we were able to walk everywhere which was what we wanted. The ferry was a 10 min walk from the apartment through the old town. We also had a 10 min walk to the train station which we did when we left with our suitcases. There are a multitude of lovely restaurants which cater for all tastes or you can cook in the gourmet kitchen at the appartment. Every possible need had been accomadated in this lovely apartment. It truly is a home away from home. I would strongly reccomend this apartment to anyone. We had a wonderful stay there.

More than expected. Apartment furnished beautiful and clean. Views even better. Owner extremely cooperative. One of the best locations in area of Como. Trains, boats buses nearby. Loved the piazzas , restaurants, shopping all within the neighborhood. Stayed one month and will go back soon.

This apartment was a perfect place to stay in Como. Great Location - Close to the train station, Close to the lake and Close to shops. We are 5 australians aged 55-65 and this was the best place we stayed on our 6 week trip in europe. Very clean, We loved it and would recommend it.

The apartment was clean, well furnished and equipped with everything you're ever likely to need. Walking to the central area of Como was simple and took less than 5 minutes. Como is replete with restaurants and cafes, which were helpfully condensed into a shortlist of authentic venues by the owner's friend, who taxied us from the airport.
Be sure to visit the stunning coastal towns around the lake and take in the alpine vistas with a glass of Prosecco! -

We really enjoyed our stay in Como. The apartment was clean, convenient and organized. It was great to come home at the end of a long touring day, enjoy a glass of wine and relax in our own place. We like to cook and entertain and the well appointed kitchen allowed us to do that with ease. The situation was perfect for us.

Wao!!! What a wonderful vacation we had on November 2010 at Como , Italy .
I traveled with my husband and our two children (four and two years old) and stayed at the apartment. The apartment was just the perfect place, right in front of Como' roman wall . Right across the street we had amazing restaurants and the best shopping ever. A couple of city blocks away one can hop on a vaporeto and cruise the lake to Lenno, Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta, Cadenabbia, Menaggio and the marvelous town of Bellagio .
During our stay we also rented a car. Parking was easily available on the street in front of the building right at Viale Varese. With the car we traveled all around the Lake. The apartment is so charming and comfortable. It is newly remodeled with everything brand new and well equipped from oven, drier, washer, flat TVs, cable and wi-fi. The owners offer a wonderful maid service twice per week and they them self were very accommodating and juts plain honest folks... given the chance would come back to use this apartment.

We stayed at the condo for a week in august 2008 and had an amazing time. The condo is super modern, well furnished, comfortable, conveniently located, and has a balcony with sweeping views of the whole city of Como. The city walls are right outside the main door and the lake is about 500 meters away. The owners are extremely friendly, approachable and flexible. Perfect vacation spot in Como!

A good find particularly for visitors who do not wish to drive. The apartment is very well appointed with an excellent kitchen and appliances. It has a great view overlooking the old city walls and lake beyond and is within easy walking distance of the harbor, many fine restaurants, shops and food markets, museums and other points of cultural interest.
We loved the various boat tours around the lake and would not hesitate to rent this place again. -

I have had the opportunity to stay at this apartment a couple of times. It is in an excellent location (across the street from the old city wall) so everything you need is in walking distance. The apartment is beautiful - so well appointed. The lobby is humble, but the apartment is quite lux. The owners are so helpful - arranging transporation, recommendations, etc. I highly recommend this apartment for couples, singles or families. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I have been doing some traveling in Europe over the last several years. We are in our early sixties but are avid cyclists, tennis players, skiers, etc. We had heard Lake Como was a great place to cycle with beautiful scenery and lots of things to do. So we began our quest to find an apartment to rent. We wanted to be in the heart of the city so we could walk to restaurants, cafes, grocery store, etc. If you are not in the city getting around is a bit difficult. Our search resulted in our finding a great apartment in Como. It met our needs perfectly. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with eating area, a great kitchen, air conditioned, and laundry facilities. You can walk to the store and rental car companies are within walking distance as well. It is very new, modern, clean, and functional. It also has a great little balcony where we often relaxed with friends and had a drink. We had three couples visit us during our stay and we had plenty of room and we all enjoyed it very much. The apartment is strategically located on the west side (across the street) from the Roman wall. This wall was constructed hundreds of years ago as protection from invaders. Inside the wall is the heart of the city with narrow streets, shops, restaurants, etc. Our friends said they had the best food in Como.

We stayed in this apartment in Lake Como for a few days after a work-related conference. My family, included 4 teenagers, and myself. The best feature is the apartment itself, a renovated beautiful, clean, comfortable and very modern apartment. It is in a good location within walking distance to all amenities in Como. Sleeps 5 few very comfortably and especially a great master bedroom. Another plus is a great full kitchen and laundry facilities in the apartment. It has a nice balcony, also with furniture to sit outside. The owner is very honest and very eager to ensure a good stay. Reasonably priced for that area, and definitely would recommend it highly and given the opportunity, would stay there again.
