The property enjoys a tranquil position perched invitingly above the Lake boasting panoramic views .Lake Como will revive and reward you. A day on the lake with private boat hire, a lazy lunch at one of the restaurants within walking distance, a languid lakeside walk alomg the lake front here in San Siro, water sports from the shingle beach here in the village for the more adventuro...us, perhaps a swim in the pool at the residence or just putting your feet up on the balcony and watching the drama of the lake and mountain scenery laid bare before you.

The living room opens to patio doors to reveal a panoramic lake view inside or out where you can breakfast as you watch the sunrise or step out to the garden for alfresco dining for 4 guests in the mature garden inc BBQ. Steps to a lower exterior lawned are lead to the sunbathing area (2 sun loungers). The lower ground level accessed via the hallway steps takes you to 2 large and tastefully decorated double bedroom with ample wardrobe space.

2 bathroom featuring a shower and WC are available on the same ground level as the bedrooms.

One of the bedrooms also features a day bed ideal for guests who do not wish to share a double bed as the sofa converts into a single bed.

For years holidaymakers have flocked to these shores in search of rest and relaxation amongst arguably th finest scenery in Italy. Be it relaxing on the local beach, enjoy the local cusine or whipping up some treats in the kitchen, a visit to one of the many splendid villas, a round of golf at the local course in near by Menaggio or shopping till you drop in Como City or Milan, the lake has something for everyone. The locals who welcome you with open arms simply add to the charm, making it an experience you will want to repeat time and again.

The San Siro area
All the following destinations are just a boat, bus, car or rail journey away. Menaggio, a short drive from where the apartment is based, looks out to Bellagio which you can reach via the ferry here as indeed the most popular tourist villages. Then retreat to the tranquillity of your lake view home here in San Siro.

San Siro, shingle beach to top up your tan, mini market (includes fresh bread), deli, restaurants including the best pizza on the lake at Creme Caramele! Lovely authentic feel to the village.

  The booking process was straightforward and, despite our slight misgivings about paying the deposit by bank transfer, everything went smoothly. The local agents, Roy and Fabiana, were very understanding and accommodating when we arrived late after getting lost in Milan's one-way system. The villa itself was delightful - spacious, beautifully decorated, and everything in excellent working order. And the view from the living room/balcony was just as stunning as in the photo. We made regular use of the barbecue and enjoyed the good-sized swimming pool - the latter shared with other residents, but mostly we had it to ourselves, or almost. There is a useful little shop within a few minutes' walk - other facilities, such as restaurants, are within easy driving distance. The only improvement we could suggest would be bath mats!
