Mariner's Lookout is a self contained suite perfect for visitors looking for a destination, romantic get-away or business trip.

Our equipped condo style kitchen is open to the living room. The windows frame breathtaking views of the island mountains, the harbour, HMCS Quadra, the Goose Spit and changing garden landscape. In summer, the garden welcomes you eat at the picnic table, lounge in comfort, put your feet up, read a book or have a nap in the sun. The Goose Spit is a very popular beach to walk and enjoy in all seasons. One kingsize or 2 twin beds in the bedroom with a view, living room sleeps two, bathroom has a shower. Additional... accommodation can be arranged for a small fee. Internet, television, DVD, and VCR are available. This is a non smoking and pet free unit. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. Rooms are cleaned and towels refreshed mid-week or as needed. Breakfast basket can be arranged. We speak both French and English. With the warm welcome from Henrie when we arrived, we knew we were going to feel right at home. It was something of a shock when we first entered Mariner's Lookout--I can honestly say I've never stayed in a place that was so well designed with top-of-the-line finishes and beautiful, tasteful decor. And, most importantly, it was immaculate--every surface and corner of the unit was perfectly clean. It was a wonderful stay, and I will definitely return as soon as possible. Thanks, Henrie!!!

Well, here we were one year to the weekend since our first Valentine's visit, and it was just as great the second time around - this time with more eagles, gulls, heron, duck, and even a flying vulture. We found the same snow ridge where we got engaged last year on Mt. Washington and it was still buried in 20 ft. of snow. See you next year (we hope).

What a lovely spot you have - a great place to stay. The suite has a very relaxing atmosphere and you were very kind in offering vegetables from your garden (the beetroot was wonderful) and freshly baked muffins. We really enjoyed our stay in the Comox Valley - We went to Paradise Meadows trail, Oyster River trail, Lazo Road, and cycled along the Courtenay side of the bay (Waterfront Park?) and walked along the spit. We would recommend Toscanos in Comox for dinner (Italian) and Delicado's for a great Southwestern wrap for lunch. Thanks for the trail advice.

Additional Location Information

One bedroom fully furnished second floor unit, situated on a flourishing landscaped property overlooking Vancouver Island's Beaufort Range and Comox Bay. You will be a hop, skip, and a jump from the Goose Spit Park, and a 10 minute walk to downtown Comox, good restaurants, golfing, Filberg Lodge and Park, marina, and hiking. A pair of eagles have made themselves a nest within view (with binoculars) from the kitchen. The Comox Valley Airport and the hospital are each a 5 minute drive from here. Mt. Washington Ski Resort is 45 minutes away for those who enjoy snow sports. BC Ferries: We are 15 minutes from the Powell River ferry to Little River (Comox Valley) and 1 1/2 hours from the Nanaimo ferry to Vancouver (lower mainland). A ride to a from the airport, ferry or train may be arranged.

  Henrie was a very accommodating and gracious host. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome and went out of her way to make it special for the children. The kitchen is large and has almost everything you need. We hope to return soon.
  If you are traveling with children under 5, ask for a baby gate at the top of the stairs.

  We enjoy having families come to Mariner's Lookout on Comox Bay and we look forward to welcoming you again. We do have a gate (under the bed), high chair, playpen and games to accommodate young ones. The gate didn't come to mind when you first arrived, my apologies.   This by far has been one of the most beautiful places we have stayed at! The owners were so welcoming and gracious. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The accomodations were absolutely perfect. The bed was comfortable, spotless clean, and the views of the bay and the mountains were stunning. If your enjoy seeing wildlife, you won't be disappointed. The deer are so domesticated they practically live at the house under the trees. The gardens are so beautiful with flowers of so many species that the deer and rabbits have a delicious choice of goodies...The only reason I gave the comfort level a 4, is that the suite is upstairs, so if you have a problem with stairs that maybe a consideration, other than that, absolutley wonderful!

  Every aspect of our stay was absolutely perfect! With the warm welcome from Henrie when we arrived, we knew we were going to feel right at home.   The Mariner's lookout is an enchanting getaway, perfect for the family or just for two. I found the location is spectacular with captivating grounds and a short jaunt to the goose spit beach. For the one's who love to shop it is a pleasant five minutes from the heart of Comox. All in all Mariner's lookout is the ideal getaway rental.
