Pembrokeshire, WalesA lovely stay in a beautiful & peaceful setting.
Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had 4 generations staying in the house and everyone found something to please them. The town centre was only 3 blocks away so well within walking distance for all that we needed. The house contained many essential items including towels, iron & board, washing machine, clothes airers, soap and basic cooking ingredients.Eating in was easy as house was kitted out with all essential cookware.Eating out was also easy as there were 10+ restaurants within walking distance.Wednesday was market day and was like stepping back in time as they had many stalls on offer including materials, meat, cheese, jam, wooden toys and handmade crafts.3 Boulangeries within walking distance which meant we had fresh bakery produce every morning for breakfast, and fresh bread for the day. Tv had very poor signal and was also in french, but the owners provided many Dvd's and an enormous bookshelf full of french and english/american books. There was a very helpful childrens dictionary on the bookshelf in the kitchen which made going out slightly easier. Many ccokbooks were provided so my gran spent much of the holiday reading this in the sun and scribbling down interesting recipes. The walled garden to the rear of the property made it easy for us to allow children to play safely. Many outdoor toys were provided with the house.Board games and colouring also kept the children entertained when the weather wasn't great or too hot for them to be out in the sun.We used the property as a base for a family wedding and many friends and family visited in the week, the house was plenty large enough for 15+ people to socialise. The keys to the property are collected from a nearby village which is on route if your travelling from Toulouse airport, as we were. And the key holders are very kind and helpful, and also speak english. The whole process of renting this house was very pleasant and easy.We didn't travel and visit much of the surrounding area as we were busy with wedding but the swimming pool in Condom is great.

The TV signal booster box had come unplugged. When plugged in, the tv signal is great. I will add this to a check list. Thanks!!

EnglandA comfortable, well located and quiet town house.

Condom is a town full of character and this charming "bourgeois" house was
in the perfect location for us to get the most from our stay.
The very full description of the property and its amenities were both
accurate and complete (no nasty surprises). We stayed in October as the
evenings were becoming cooler, so the modern central heating (a very useful
feature) kept us as warm as we wanted. The house is located on a very quiet,
well lit street with free on street parking directly in front.
Inside this feels like someone's home and not just a rental property. The
kitchen is very well equipped, the one bathroom has hot water as hot as you
want, the family room has plenty of comfortable seating, the bedrooms are
fully carpeted and our bed gave us a good night's sleep.
Having our own secluded garden with a terrace and even a first floor balcony
made outdoor eating and relaxing a private pleasure.
If you want to stay in town then this house is just right.
