      Unreasonable checkout time

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Nice house even though lake drained in fall. While it is a nice house i was very unhappy about the check out times. 10 am checkout and 5 pm check in. For a weekend rental you are basicaly paying over $800 to use the property for a full day on saturday. Who wants to get up early sunday morning to strip the sheets, empty the dishwasher, take trash to dumpster, etc. these are a few of the things the management co has you do that no other rental company does.
The real nail in the coffin was when i asked for a 5 pm checkout and was told i would have to pay$125 even though i was the last renter of the season. No one is going to do that. I am from dc and my brother is from pgh. We watched the steelers at nemaclin and $125 paid for lunch and drinks far 4 . It would have cost them nothing and would have built goodwill ( repeat bus. Plus referrals).

Fall at the Yough Lake House

Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012

This was our second trip to the Lake House. We were there just about a month earlier and couldn't wait to come back. We are sad that the season is nearly over, but plan to re-visit several times next year. It's such a relaxing, family friendly place to stay surrounded by nature and amazing views. The cabin is well equipped with everything we need. We already feel like it's our second home. Thank you to Tricia and the rest of the OVR staff for all you do to provide top notch service and amenities.

      Cabin Fever

Left on 08/26/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at The Lake House at the Yough. The home is as amazing as the setting. We spent early mornings down by the dock watching the fog lift as the sun burned through, then headed back up to enjoy the hot tub next to the fire before breakfast. The kitchen is so inviting it makes cooking a joy! Then we headed out for our daily activities...biking, kayaking, rafting and sight seeing. Evenings back at the cabin included incredible dinners, listening to the rain and nature, more time in the hot tub and fires in the firepit. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing home.

      Great cabin!

Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This is a great cabin with all you need for a wonderful get away. Location is a draw back but also one of the strong points about it. Nice and secluded. The access road is tough and the many steps not for the faint of heart. We took a boat but had to anchor it away from the dock due to Army Corps of Engineer rules. Also took kayaks but it's a long carry to get them in the water. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of swimming, skiing and biking. The porches are great for relaxing and playing bean bag toss! The kitchen is beautiful with all of the essentials and then some! One of the nicest and cleanest cabins we've stayed in. All 8 of us 50+'ers really enjoyed ourselves.

      Family Getaway

Left on 08/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We have 2 college students and a 13 year old. This was a chance to get away together without distractions before the older 2 left for college. The lake provided beauty and a fun place to cool off. The steps provided exercise. The house is hard to find the first time but our GPS app did get us there. The house was very clean and relaxing. I would return.

      What a way to Relax!

Left on 07/14/2012 for a stay in July 2012

This comfortable cabin is big enough for ten people to spread out and relax. The upper and lower decks provide enough outdoor living space so no one feels crowded. You are so high on the cliff you feel like you are living in a tree house. The lake is clean and we swam and caught fish right off the dock. The cabin is far enough away from everything to feel private but also close enough to Ohiopyle to go whitewater rafting, bike, & visit the F.L. Wright houses. Everyone agreed that we had found a "gem" and would come back to the Lake House at the Yough!

      Disappointed

Left on 04/24/2012 for a stay in April 2012

I rented this house for a girls only weekend. We specifically choose this house because it had a hot tub. April is not warm enough for the lake. The hot tub was not working and the owner/mgt did not come to fix. The road to the house is not marked and the directions did not help. We spent 1/2 hr looking for it. I think the ad should state four wheel drive only. The house was clean and the furniture was comfortable. Nice kitchen and outside area. The tv is too small for the size living room. The ice maker is also not functioning so thank god we had brought our own ice. For 861.00 for 2 nights it is overpriced. I am waiting to hear if I will get a refund for the hot tub mess, but have not heard back ( day 2).
